본 연구는 수저터널의 설계 및 시공방법에 관한 것으로, 차량이 통행하는 중공부 단면을 갖는 터널튜브가 수중에서 누수가 발생되거나 파손 및 기타 사고에 의하여 물이 유입되는 경우, 또는 터널튜브내부에서 발생되는 오폐수 등에 대하여 이를 집수, 배수하는 시설에 관한 것이다. 구체적으로 설명하면, 물밑에 설치된 연속하는 터널구조물을 지지 및 계류하는 자켓, 폰툰 등과 같은 구조물과 일체로 집수탱크(Tank)를 설치하는 단계, 수저터널로 유입된 물과 터널운행 중 발생된 오폐수를 분리집수하는 단계, 상기 집수탱크를 수저터널의 튜브보다 낮은 위치에 설치하도록 하여 중력으로 물과 오폐수를 분리집수 하는 단계, 상기 집수된 물을 수표면 위로 배출하는 단계 및 수면 위 데크(Deck) 구조물에 설치된 오폐수정화시설을 통하여 정화된 물을 배출하는 단계, 재난발생 시 여객의 피난 및 구조를 할 수 있는 단계를 모두 포함하는 경제적이고 현실적인 설계 및 시공방법을 소개하였다. This paper addresses design and construction method for underwater vehicle passage tunnel which facilitates storage, treatment and discharge of permeated and/or inundated water when the hollow sectioned tunnel tube leaks. The same also applies to serviced and/or polluted water which is resulted from operation and/or maintenance activities of underwater tunnel. Specifically, it deals with; furnishing storage tank in the continuous tunnel tube which is connected with supporting structure such as jacket, pontoon, etc; separately gathering the permeated and/or inundated water against the serviced and/or polluted water; allowing by virtue of gravity the separately gathered water to flow into designated tank; transmitting the separately gathered water onto the water treatment facilities furnished in the deck structure; discharging treated water; furnishing escape routes for refugee in case of emergency. It also focuses on the cost-effective offshore installation method for the above mentioned structures which are constructed onshore.

본 연구는 수저터널의 설계 및 시공방법에 관한 것으로, 지상의 포격, 유도무기를 비롯하여 수저의 잠수함, 수면의 선박, 수상의 항공기 등의 무기와 무력에 의한 공격에 대하여 능동적이고 현실적인 방호수단을 연구하였다. 대중이 이용하는 교통수단의 안전과 방호의 중요성은 주지의 사실이나 수저터널이 외부로부터 공격을 받을 수 있는 모든 경우에 있어서 이에 대한 대비 및 방호수단과 유사시 타 교통수단에 의한 접안, 착륙, 구호시설을 적용한 사례는 전무하고 이에 관한 연구도 거의 없는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 바다목장과 양식장과 같은 다른 용도로 동시에 사용되어 고부가가치를 창출할 수 있는 방호수단에 대한 설계 및 시공방법을 소개하였다. This paper addresses design and construction method for protection of underwater tunnel by which active protection measures in a practical manner are furnished against various attacks such as artillery fire, guided missile, torpedo from submarine, underwater mine, warship and aircraft, etc. It has been widely acknowledged that securing the safety of transportation facilities by providing active protection measures is very important. Nevertheless, provision of active protection measures against the above mentioned attacks and facilities for rescue boat to access has not been applied to underwater tunnel nor actively studied. Accordingly, this paper introduces a way to ensure that the above mentioned active protection measures have an additional function as sea ranch or aquatic products farming, etc which yield high value-added products.

The main purposes of rail grinding are to improve the ride comfort, extend service life of rail, and reduce noise by preventing RCF(Rolling Contact Fatigue) defects. However, Kyung-Bu high-speed railway which has been applied to the rail grinding criteria of France high-speed railway has been used. In case of underground railway which has much passing frequency of train has been establishing the criteria of rail grinding based on experience. Therefore, this study performed metallographic structure, chemical component test, and micro-hardness test for specimens according to accumulated passing tonnage after rail grinding considering on the wheel rail interface condition of underground railway. As a result of this study, for new rail, it should be performed initial grinding about 0.3mm in order to remove de-carbonized layer and for used rail, when it performed preventive-cyclic grinding above 0.1mm/50MGT, RCF defects might be prevented.

This paper suggests to standardize railway accident restoration types as the standardized code and to develop standard operation procedures(SOP) for the efficient railway accident management and recovery system. First of all, occurred damage types as the existing railway accident types in both domestic and foreign cases have been carefully analyzed and then reclassified. Therefore, this study suggested the combination of 3 distinct code factors: restoration class, restoration object, and restoration location to standardize them. In addition, temporary restoration SOP will play a major role in the railway accident database management system and SOP for the damage limitation and the prevention of accident spread.

In this paper, the process of development of resilient sleepers, which improves the train safety, passenger comfort and reduces the noise and vibration, is presented. To optimize the bonding method between elastic pad and PC sleeper, special pad shape like arrow is adopted and is applied in manufacturing. Bonding strength and reduction effects of vibration of the resilient sleepers are experimentally investigated. From the experiment results, it is investigated that the bonding strenth is enough to satisfaction the criteria and the vibration characteristic is also more effective for sleeper with elastic pad than that in ordinary PC form. These results indicate that the elastic pad can reduce possibility of rail-corrugations and thus resulting in the reduction of maintenance costs.

A health monitoring system becomes a very useful tool to obtain information on long term behavior of the important railway structures such as very long span and special type bridges. It can be also used to give a warning signal to the maintenance engineer when the structure shows abnormal behavior. However, due to long term use and temperature changes, the health monitoring system needs to be calibrated periodically. In this study, calibration and gauge factor readjustment process made for the health monitoring system installed in the railroad bridges and tunnel are reviewed and a few findings are updated. Future work will be concentrated on the long-term analysis of the measurement data and on the database structures so that the assessment of the structure is possible
