      • 效率的인 英語學習指導를 爲한 韓·英兩語의 文法的 特質의 比較硏究

        In teaching and learning of English language, it has been our experience that there are patterns of English language that cause much difficulty in learning, and there are those that do not cause much difficulty. And it is the writer's assumption that through the systematic comparison of Korean and English languages we can easily discover and describe the difficult patterns that the Korean students will have in learning English. This study aims to compare some grammatical features of Korean language with those of English language in order to find out some fundamental problems for the Korean People in teaching and learning of English language. Before any of the questions of how to teach a foreign language must come the much more important preliminary work of finding the special problems arising out of any effort to develop a new set of language habits against a background of different native language habits. It is the writer's firm belief that the key of the achievement and progress in mastering English language lies in a careful systematic comparison of the descriptive structural analyses of Korean and English languages. The result of such comparison may surely prove of fundamental value for the preparation of more effetive teaching methods, teaching materials, and English learning experiments. The aims for a systematic comparison of these two languages are as follows: (1) Significance for Teaching and Learning Methods. It is generally assumed that Korean students who come in contact with English language will find some features of it quite easy and others extremely difficult. Those elements that are similar to Korean language will be, of course, simple for them, and those elements that are different will be difficult. The teacher who has been provided with the knowledge resulted by a comparion of English with Korean will be aware of what the real learning problems are and can better be equipped with effective teaching methods. (2) Significance for Teaching Materials. Modern English textbooks and supplementary materials should give due emphasis to those elements or features that are difficult because they are different from those of the native language of the students. Teaching and learning materials of English language should be graded as to grammatical structure, pronunciation, vocabulary, etc., giving priority to those features that are different from Korean language. And grading can be done best after the kind of comparison the writer is presenting in this study. (3) Significance for Research of the English Language. By using the results of linguitic comparison of Korean and English, we can pin point our research problems, and individuals can carry out highly significant experiments.

        The effects of nitrate and nitrite on color development of cured meat and Sausage were studied, and the obtained results were summarized as follows. The color development of cured meat was more effective with the nitrate and nitrite together than solely with nitrite but there was no increase of the residual nitrite and color development by increase of nitrate addition. Color of cured meat was well developed at fifth days of curing but it was deteriorated thereafter. The color development of Sausage was influenced by the smoking and smoke times, and the residual nitrite contents were gradually on the decrease.

        The effect of porcine careass temperature which is a great practical problem to pork production on meat quality was investigated. The loin temperature from sows showed higher than boar immediatly after slaughter. The lumbar vertebra temperature of the M. long dorsi of the whole carcass which was passed ten minutes after evisceration was slightly higher than the split one. Some of carcasses which were exposed to environments of 7"C~l4"C after slaughter developed a Pale muscle with Poor water-binling properties as slightly PSE condition at lumbar vertebra of the M. long dorsi, whereas the carcasses were exposed at 0°C∼2°C had normal-colored, firm and dry loin muscles.

        Effects of differences of curing period on the water holding capacity and the distribution of sol state muscle protein in cured pork which was added the curing agents and food additives used usually in processing meat products were studied with the M. longissimus dorsi of pork. The water holding capacity of cured pork reached the highest value, 62% at three days after curing and then decreased by the progress of the curing period. The amount of various lot state muscle protein and pH of cured pork also reached the highest value at three days after curing, and thereafter decreased by the progress of the curing period. particularly actomyosin. As the sol state muscle proteins of the cured pork was increased. the water holding capacity was also increased. The water holding capacity showed a tendency to decrease with decreasing the amount of sol state muscle protein.

        Broiler 의 품종별 산육성에 관한 연구 3 . Cage 와 평사에서 사육한 Hubbard 종의 산육성

        Among the broiler breeds in Korea, Hubbard was chosen to be raised in cage and on floor and 6 chicks of each randomly chosen out of 640 were slaughtered at the 5th, 6th and 7th week, respectively to examine the meat productivity. Heaiver body weights of the male in the floor group while for the female in the cage group. Heavier body weights of the males were found in the floor group and those of the females in the cage. However, males showed heavier live weight than females in both feeding system. Average carcass percentage based on the live weight was 70.9%. Greater carcass percentages were found in the floor male and cage-fed female groups, respectively. Lean weight was 56,4 percentage of the carcass weight. Male was greater to female. Edible portion was greater in male and in the floor broiler group. Cage males and floored females tended to deposit more fat in the body. It is recommeded to raise male broilers in floor while females in cage system.

        Broiler 의 품종간 산육성 (産肉性) 에 관한 연구 2 . 평사 사육에 의한 Arbor Acres 와 Maniker 종의 산육성

        Two broiler breeds, Arbor Acres and Maniker, were Moor-fed trod 6 chicks of each sea randomly chosen out of 640 were slaughtered at the 5th, 6th, and 7th week, respectively to examine the meat productivity. Arbor Acres weight 4.6% more than Maniker as far as the breeds difference in live weight is concerned and Males in both breeds weighed 17% more than female in live weight. Weights of carcass against live weights amounted 70% in both varieties regardless of sex. Lean meat From carcass weight was 54% on the average in both breeds and sexes. Arbor Acres yielded higher meat productivity than Maniker. Males had meat productivity from 15 to 26% higher than females. In addition, the ratio of edible portion was higher in Arbor Acres than in Maniker. The rate of fat deposit in comparison with carcass weight was higher percent io female and male of Maniker, than that of Arbor Acres.

        英語學習指導方法의 改善을 爲한 聽解力指導

        우리나라 英語敎育의 現況을 살펴볼때 英語學習과 그 指導에 投入된 時間과 努力의 莫大한 量에 比해 그 成果가 너무나도 不滿足스럽다는 事實을 누干프 否認하기 어려울 것이다. 이와같이 英語學習指導가 所期의 成果를 거두지 못하고 있는 根本原因 中에서 가장 큰 原因은 主로 文法說明과 解釋이 主가 되어있는 現行 英語學習指導方法의 잘못에 있다고 본다. 大部分의 英語敎師는 그들의 學習指導方法을 敎科書의 解設과 文法說明에 限定시키고 있으며 理解를 넘어선 英語自體의 反復習得에 까지 이끌어가는 手苦를 게을리 하고 있는것 같다. 過去에는 文學作品을 主로 한 文獻의 讀解에 英語敎育의 主目的이 놓여 있었으나 現代社會는 英語를 文獻으로서만이 아니라 소리로서도 理解하고 再生할 수 있는 能力 卽 英語의 네가지 技能을 고루 갖춘 能力을 要求하고 있는 것이다. 이와같은 觀點에서 筆者는 本論에서 英語學習의 原理中에서도 特히 基本的인 原理를 整備하고 이에 바탕을 둔 가장 效率的인 學習指導方法의 模索을 試圖하였다. 本論에서 主張한 英語學習의 基本原理와 實效를 겨냥한 學習指導方法을 다음과 같이 要約하여 recommend한다. 1.英語의 意味內容은 前後關係, 同反意語, 文脈등을 動員하여 綜合的인 context로 理解하도록 한다. 2.일단 理解된 英語는 spoken 이건 written 이건 無數한 反復을 通하여 言語習慣으로서 우리의 神經組織에 定着이 될 때까지, .第2의 習性이 될 때까지 몸에 익히도록 한다. 3.英語를 우리말로 解釋하는 일은 可及的 避하여, 특히 어려운 文章構造나 새로 나온 낱말 중에서도 困難度가 높은 것만을 可及的 英語로 풀이하여 되도록 英語가 많이 쓰이도록 努力한다. 4.눈의 訓練 못지않게 귀의 訓練을 重視하여 聽解의 方法을 通하여 英語의 네가지 技能을 익히도록한다. 5.reading을 多讀과 精識의 兩面에서 學習하되 어느쪽이 되었건간에 音讀의 反復을 無限히 계속 하도록 한다. 6.英語로된 錄音敎材, 英語로 하는 敎師나 學生의 口頭發表등을 listening할 수 있는 機會를. 豊富하게 주어 學生들에게 English sound에 젖을 수 있는 時間을 계속적으로 提供한다.
