Prediction on the physical properties of CuInS2 with various anion positions

        Yiming Ren,Yonghong Hu,Haibo Zeng,Li Xue 한국물리학회 2018 Current Applied Physics Vol.18 No.3

The effects of various anion displacements (u) on electronic structures, elastic constants, Debye temperature and the minimum thermal conductivity of CuInS2 are studied by first-principles calculation. The lattice constant couples with the anion displacement, however, they are not consistent with the relation proposed by Abrahams and Bernstein. When the anion displacement varies from 0.2 to 0.3, the Cu-S bond length is elongated, while the In-S bond length is shortened, which cause the increase of band gap with anion displacement. The anisotropies of sound velocities and lattice thermal conductivities are also discussed. The results imply that the lattice thermal conductivity along [110] direction is the smallest and decreases with u. These research findings shed light on improving the thermoelectric properties by manipulating u and the direction of propagation.

      • From Fragmented Development to Three-Dimensional and Coordinated Development - Research on Renewal Strategies of Existing Underground Commercial Space in Harbin

Xue, Minghui,Su, Yiming,Hu, Jiayu Council on Tall Building and Urban Habitat Korea 2021 International journal of high-rise buildings Vol.10 No.1

In Harbin, a network of underground commercial spaces has been developed to occupy spaces that were originally created as civil defense shelters. With the gradual extension of the local metro rail system, the existing underground commercial space is no longer an isolated regional development, but a space that represents "three-dimensional city" and coordinated development taking place in many Chinese cities. Based on the analysis of the unique development process taken in underground space of Harbin, this paper summarizes three characteristics of its early model of "fragmented development" of underground space. By conducting a comprehensive field research and survey, the researchers analyzed 472 questionnaires related to the development trend, and proposed multi-level synergistic elements for the renewal and development of underground commercial space. The paper concludes by discussing the trend of "three-dimensional and collaborative development," suitable for the development needs of the new era, and the corresponding development strategies for the renewal of underground space.

      • Research of D2D Dynamic Power Control Algorithm Based on Interference Restricted Area in Multi-Cell

Janbin Xue,Supan Wei,Yiming Chen 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.11 No.5

In cellular networks, the application of device-to-device (D2D) technology can effectively improve the system spectral efficiency. In order to research the performance of D2D communication in multi-cell cellular system, this paper proposed a dynamic power control algorithm based on interference restricted area to solve the interference problem between D2D communication and cellular communication in multi-cell. First we use Laplace Transform to analyze the interference, then based on the analyze of outage probability and area spectral efficiency, through system-level simulation, research the impact of D2D user equipment density, D2D communication distance and different interference restricted area sizes on outage probability and area spectral efficiency. Simulation results show that interference restricted area can effectively reduce communication outage probability, as well as improve system area spectral efficiency.

Mechanical, Thermal, and Swelling Properties of Cross-linked Hydrogels Based on Oxidized Cellulose Nanowhiskers and Chitosan/poly(vinyl alcohol) Blends

        Chao Sheng,Yiming Zhou,Xinyu Zhang,Guoxin Xue 한국섬유공학회 2018 Fibers and polymers Vol.19 No.10

Cross-linked hydrogels of chitosan/poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/oxidized cellulose nanowhiskers (CNWs) were prepared by using oxidized CNWs as a cross-linker. The effects of the oxidation level of CNWs on the swelling behavior, thermal stability, viscoelastic properties and compressive strength of the hydrogels were studied. Chemical cross-links, hydrogen bonds, as well as nanofiller reinforcement between the three materials played a major role in determining the properties of the hydrogels. Swelling test results showed that the incorporation of oxidized CNWs decreased the water absorbability of the hydrogels due to the increase in cross-linking degree. Viscoelastic properties of the hydrogels with oxidized CNWs was increased by 537 % in storage modulus, from 4.65 kPa to 29.6 kPa. Compressive strength of 181.5 kPa at 50 % strain was observed from the cross-linked hydrogels, compared with 21.2 kPa of the non-cross-linked hydrogels. The thermal experiments showed that the chemical cross-linking slightly increase the resistance toward thermal degradation of the hydrogels.

Prediabetes Progression and Regression on Objectively- Measured Physical Function: A Prospective Cohort Study

        Qiu Shanhu,Yiming Zhu,Bo Xie,Wenji Chen,Duolao Wang,Cai Xue,Sun Zilin,Tongzhi Wu 대한당뇨병학회 2023 Diabetes and Metabolism Journal Vol.47 No.6

Background: Prediabetes leads to declines in physical function in older adults, but the impact of prediabetes progression or regression on physical function is unknown. This study assessed this longitudinal association, with physical function objectivelymeasured by grip strength, walking speed, and standing balance, based on the Health and Retirement Study enrolling United States adults aged >50 years. Methods: Participants with prediabetes were followed-up for 4-year to ascertain prediabetes status alteration (maintained, regressed, or progressed), and another 4-year to assess their impacts on physical function. Weak grip strength was defined as <26 kg for men and <16 kg for women, slow walking speed was as <0.8 m/sec, and poor standing balance was as an uncompleted fulltandem standing testing. Logistic and linear regression analyses were performed. Results: Of the included 1,511 participants with prediabetes, 700 maintained as prediabetes, 306 progressed to diabetes, and 505 regressed to normoglycemia over 4 years. Grip strength and walking speed were declined from baseline during the 4-year followup, regardless of prediabetes status alteration. Compared with prediabetes maintenance, prediabetes progression increased the odds of developing weak grip strength by 89% (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.04 to 2.44) and exhibited larger declines in grip strength by 0.85 kg (95% CI, –1.65 to –0.04). However, prediabetes progression was not related to impairments in walking speed or standing balance. Prediabetes regression also did not affect any measures of physical function. Conclusion: Prediabetes progression accelerates grip strength decline in aging population, while prediabetes regression may not prevent physical function decline due to aging.

A Generation-based Text Steganography by Maintaining Consistency of Probability Distribution

( Boya Yang ),( Wanli Peng ),( Yiming Xue ),( Ping Zhong ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2021 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.15 No.11

Text steganography combined with natural language generation has become increasingly popular. The existing methods usually embed secret information in the generated word by controlling the sampling in the process of text generation. A candidate pool will be constructed by greedy strategy, and only the words with high probability will be encoded, which damages the statistical law of the texts and seriously affects the security of steganography. In order to reduce the influence of the candidate pool on the statistical imperceptibility of steganography, we propose a steganography method based on a new sampling strategy. Instead of just consisting of words with high probability, we select words with relatively small difference from the actual sample of the language model to build a candidate pool, thus keeping consistency with the probability distribution of the language model. What's more, we encode the candidate words according to their probability similarity with the target word, which can further maintain the probability distribution. Experimental results show that the proposed method can outperform the state-of-the-art steganographic methods in terms of security performance.

Early Plasma Circulating Tumor DNA as a Potential Biomarker of Disease Recurrence in Non-metastatic Prostate Cancer

        Xiaochen Fei,Xinxing Du,Yiming Gong,Jiazhou Liu,Liancheng Fan,Jiayi Wang,Yanqing Wang,Yinjie Zhu,Jiahua Pan,Baijun Dong,Wei Xue 대한암학회 2023 Cancer Research and Treatment Vol.55 No.3

Purpose In non-metastatic prostate cancer (nmPCa) setting, it is important to early identify the patients at risk of biochemical recurrence (BCR) for immediate postoperative intervention. Our study aimed to evaluate the potential clinical utility of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) for predicting disease recurrence.Materials and Methods This real-world observational study evaluated 161 cases of nmPCa undergoing next-generation sequencing at our institution. A total of 139 ctDNA samples and 31 biopsied tumor tissue underwent genomic profiling. The study endpoint was BCR after radical prostatectomy. Relationships between the ctDNA status and the biochemical progression-free survival (bPFS) were analyzed by log-rank test and multivariate Cox regression. Results Of 161 enrolled patients, 19 (11.8%) harbored deleterious alterations in <i>NCOR2</i>, followed by <i>BRCA2</i> (3.7%), <i>ATR</i> (2.5%), and <i>CDK12</i> (2.5%). Of available pre-operative blood samples (n=139), ctDNA was detectable in 91 (65.5%). Until last follow-up, 56 of 68 patients (85.3%) with detectable ctDNA had achieved BCR, whereas only eight of 39 patients (20.5%) with undetectable ctDNA had achieved BCR. Patients who had undetectable ctDNA experienced significantly longer bPFS compared with those who had detectable ctDNA (not available vs. 8.2 months; hazard ratio, 0.14; p < 0.01). Pre-operative ctDNA status was a significant prognostic factor of disease recurrence. Conclusion Pre-operative ctDNA detection could identify patients at high risk of recurrence and has the potential to inform immediate postoperative interventions, but these approaches remain to be validated in prospective studies. ctDNA studies can provide insights into accurate monitoring and precise treatment rather than simply following routine clinical care.
