      • 요중 Protein 및 N-Acetyl-β-Glucosaminidase의 생물학적 변동에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the biological variations of N-acetyl-β-glucosaminidase activity, beta-2 microglobulin, alpha-1 microglobulin, total protein, and microalbumin in spot urine specimens, all of which have been used as a screening test for the evaluation of renal dysfunction. The study was conducted from June to August of 1991, with analysis-evaluation of the 24-hour urine specimens with that of 3 spot-urine specimens and first morning specimen. A total of 14 healthy college student volunteers (non-exposed group) and 42 workers exposed to carbon disulfide (exposed group)were selected as the study subjects. The results were as follows ; 1. The mean values of N-acetyl-β-glucosaminidase activity and alpha-1 microglobulin in 24 hour urine specimens in the exposed group were higher than those in the non-exposed group. 2. Coefficient of variation among spot urine specimens of N-acetyl-β-glucosaminidase in exposed group was the lowest among the results of 5 different types of urine tests. 3. The correlation coefficients between the values in 24 hour urine specimens and those in spot urine specimens were above 0.9 for total protein. microalbumin, and alpha-1 microglobulin. The correlation coefficients between the NAG activities in 24 hour urine specimens and those in spot urine specimens were relatively high. 4. Of the total 25 workers who showed a higher N-acetyl-β-glucosaminidase activity than the reference data for the 24 hour urine specimens, the number of workers excessive reference data for the spot urine specimens was 23(92%), and 22(88.9%) for the first morning urine specimens.

      • 디젤 乘用車輛에서 DPF 條件에 따른 極微細粒子의 排出 特性에 關한 硏究

        Recent1y, the nano-PM(Particulate Matters) number concentration emitted by diesel internal combustion engine has focused on attention because this nano-PM is suspected being hazardous of human health. In this study, the PM of the diesel passenger vehicles were investigated by number concentration. A condensation particle counter (CPC) system was used to measure the particle number concentration and size of diesel exhaust particles at the end of dilution tunnel during the NEDC(ECE15+EUDC) vehicle test mode using light-duty diesel passenger vehicles with DPFs. As a research result, the characteristic of DPF performance about diesel nano-particle number concentration and size distribution was investigated in this study.

      • 갈륨-비소 반도체 소자의 단전자 수송에 관한 몬테칼로 시늉내기

        본 논문에서는 two valley model(Г-L) single-electron Monte Carlo(SMC) method를 사용하여 GaAs의 격자 온도 변화, 전기장, 불순물 농도에 따른 전자 전송 특성(속도, 에너지, velly 점유율)을 조사함으로써 반도체(GaAs)내부의 물리적인 정보를 얻었다. 산란 과정으로는 polar optical phonon(POP), non-POP, acoustic phonon, ionized impurity 산란이 고려되었고, Monte Carlo method의 유일한 단점인 긴 계산 시간을 줄이기 위하여 fast self scatterning method를 적용하였다. In this paper, the electron transport characteristics of velocity, energy and valley occupancy have been investigated as a function of various parameters, such as lattice temperatures, electric fields, or impurity concentrations by using 'two valley model(Г - L) in GaAs single-electron Monte Carlo(SMC) method'. We have considered scattering due to polar optical phonons(POP), non-POP, acoustic phonons and ionized impurities. In order to reduce CPU time, which is a crucial point in the Monte Carlo method, a fast self-scattering method has been applied.

        Recently, the nano-PM 's number concentration emitted by diesel internal combustion engine has focused on attention because this particulate matters are suspected being hazardous of human health. In this study, the particulate matters (PM) emissions of these vehicles were investigated by number concentration. A condensation particle counter (CPC) system was applied to measure the particle number and size concentration of diesel exhaust particles at the end of dilution tunnel along the NEDC(ECE15+EUDC) vehicle test mode using TSI 3010D and HCT 4312 CPC. As the research result, the characteristic of CPC comparison diesel nano-particle number and size distribution was investigated in this study.

      • 수근터널증후군의 위험인자에 대한 환자-대조군 연구

        The carpal tunnel syndrome is one of the most common peripheral nerve entrapment syndromes and one of whose causes is occupational exposure. But there has been no data on how occupational exposure causes carpal tunnel syndrome in Korea. So a case-control study was done to find the risk factors of carpal tunnel syndrome and to evaluate what the occupational exposure hazards in Korea. The cases were composed of 50 female patients who were diagnosed by needle electromyography and nerve conduction study as carpal tunnel syndrome in 3 general hospitals such as Anam and Kuro Hospitals of Korea University and Borame Hospital. The controls were 179 mothers who did not have symptoms related to carpal tunnel syndrome. A trained nurse interviewed cases obtaining information about risk factors by telephone, but the information of controls were gathered by a self-administered method using a structured questionnaire. The results were as follows; 1. 55.1% of the cases had a history of working and 37.0% of controls worked, so the odds ratio was 2.21(95% confidence interval was 1.17 to 4.15). 2. 16.0% of the cases had diabetes mellitus and 0.6% of controls had it, so the odds ratio was 29.7(95% confidence interval was 7.0 to 125.1). 8.0% of the cases had rheumatoid arthritis and 1.8% of controls had it, so the odds ratio was 5.22(95% confidence interval was 1.3 to 21.0). 3. 8.0% of the cases had a history of taking oral contraceptives and 1.7% of controls took it, so the odds ratio was 4.99(95% confidence interval was 1.45 to 20.2). 4. Logistic regression analysis was done to control the confounding effect of age and to evaluate the amount of effects of risk factors. The important risk factors were quetelet index(kg/㎡) (p=0.0065), diabetes mellitus(p=0.0108), history of taking oral contraceptives(p=0.0684), and a history of having employment(p=0.0881) in order of effect power.

      • 형광등제조사업장 수은폭로근로자들의 요중 N-Acetyl-β-Glucosaminidase activity에 관한 연구

        The periodic evaluation of workers exposed to mercury has some limitations in detectin early changes of renal dysfunction with existing methods of blood or urine examination because of low sensitvivity. The urinary N-acetyl-β-glucosaminidase(NAG) activity test has been recommended as sensitive method to detect early renal dysfunction by many foreign researchers. So urinary NAG activitiy in urine of workers who were exposed to mercury at a fluorescent lamp manufacturing factory was determined to study early renal dysfunction of the workers. Fifty textile workers and six healthy members of a research institute served as reference subjects. The results were as follows : 1. The correlation between urinary NAG and mercury was statistically significant(p(0.001), and the correlation coefficient was 0.4449. 2. The high reference value of urinary NAG activity in reference subjects was 360μMole methyluMbelliferone /mg of creatinine. 3. When the mercury levels in urine were grouped as under 50μg /1, 50-300μg /1 and aboVe 300μg /1, the percentage of test subjects whose urinary NAG activities were greater than the high reference value(370μmole methylumbelliferone/mg of creatinine) were 9.5%, 40.9% and 57.1%, respectively. However, this increasing trend was not statistically significant when the test subjects were limited only to the group exposed to mercury(30.8%-40.9%-57.1%, p=0.52) . 4. About 43% of subjects whose urinary mercury were above 300μg /1 had urinary NAG actiVity below 360MU μM /mg Cret. This result suggests that urinary mercury level is not a absolute indicator in diagnosis of mercury poisoning and a sensitive method which can detect the early health effects of mercury need to be developed.

      • 直接噴射式 디젤엔진에서 GTL熱料의 EGR率變化에 따른 排出物 特性에 關한 硏究

        Recently, altenative fuels are drawing more attentions due to the increasing need for lower emission characteristics and fuel consumption rate in automotive engines. The GTL(gas to luquid) is the one of most favored candidates. It has higher cetane number(more than 75) and almost negligible sulphur and aromatic contents. Therefore, enhanced emission characteristics are expected even in the application in diesel engines without any modification. In this study, the cylinder pressure and heat release, emission characteristics with fuel injection timings are compared between diesel and GTL fuel in the single cylinder diesel engine. Noticeable reduction in PM, THC and CO emission are observed due to lower sulphur and aromatic contents in GTL. Also, the ignition delay decreased due to higher cetane number of GTL , which slightly decreased the amount of NOx emissions. EGR is considered as a most efficient method to reduce the NOx emission. With EGR rates, NOx decreases more for the case of GTL, while the level of THC and CO emissions still remains lower than the case of diesel. With EGR rates, Small size distribution of PM became lager and there amount increased. Bul from all conditions, size distribution of PM for the case GTL was lower than Diesel.

      • Tripledecker 착물, (CpCo)_2(C_4R_4)과 Alkyne과의 반응

        트리플데카 착물류, bis-(η^5-cyclopentadienyl)-μ-(η^4-1,2,3,4-tetraalkylcyclobutadiene)dicobalt들은 Jonas시약과 2-hexyne 또는 3-hexyne을 실온에서 동량으로 반응시킬때, 50% 이상의 최대 수율이 얻어졌다. 한 종류의 트리플데카 착물인 bis-(η^5-cyclopentadienyl)-μ-(η^4-1,2,3,4-tetraalkylcyclobutadiene)dicobalt(13)는 실온에서 3-hexyne과 반응시키면, 착물 (η^5-cyclopentadienyl)cobalt-acyclopentadiene-μ-(η^4-2,4-cobaltacyclope-ntadiene)(η^5-cyclopentadienyl)cobalt(15)로 이성화되었다. 다른 한 종류의 트리플데카 착물, bis-(η^5-cyclopentadienyl)-μ-(η^4-1,3-dimethyl-2,4-dipropyl-cyclobutadiene)dicobalt(14)를 2-hexyne 과 반응시켰더니 1,3,5-tri-methyl-2,4,6-tripropyl benzene화합물이 생성되었다. The tripledecker complexes, bis-(η^5-cyclopentadienyl)-μ-(η^4-1,2,3,4-tetraalkylcyclobutadiene)dicobalt were produced by the reaction of Jonas reagent with 2-hexyne and 3-hexyne in the maxi-mum yield(above 50%) when they were reacted in eq-molar amounts at room temperature. A tripledecker complexes,bis-(η^2-cyclopentadienyl)-μ-(η^4-1,2,3,4-tetraalkylcyclobutadiene)dicobalt(13) was isomerized to (η^5-cyclopentadienyl)cobalt-acyclopentadiene-μ-(η^4-2,4-cobaltacyclope-ntadiene)(η^5-cyclopentadienyl)cobalt(15) on reacting with 3-hexyne at room temperature. Another tripledecker complex, bis-(η^5-cyclopentadienyl)-μ-(η^4-1,3-dimethyl-2,4-dipropyl-cyclobutadiene)dicobalt(14) was decomposed to give 1,3,5-trimethyl-2,4,6-trip-ropylbenzene through an intermediate complex by the reaction of 2-hexyne.

      • 전동공구 내구성 평가 실험장치 개발

        For the endurance test, it is necessary to test the portable electric tools under the same condition as the actual operation condition. It is also essential that the test equipment is convenient to fix the tool. Those are necessary to control the loaded torque and to acquire and analyze the test data with a computer. In this study, we have developed an endurance test equipment for portable electric tools, where a hydraulic control system with a proportional relief valve was applied to control the load for the test. The developed test equipment used an industrial hydraulic pump as a load supplier to ensure a firm endurance of the test equipment itself. The data acquisition system has been automated by composing with a personal computer and RS-232C communication nets. This test equipment reduced the manhour for the test and also improved the reliability of the tested data which were measured and graphed.

NOx decreases more for the case of GTL, while the level of THC and CO emissions still remains lower than the case of diesel. Therefore, there is much room for the control of injection timiing for NOx reduction without sacrificing THC and CO emissions. With the retards of main injection timing, Small size distribution of PM became lager and there amount increased. But from all conditions, size distribution of PM for the case GTL was lower than Diesel.
