        There have been no proper investigation made about what kind of parasites are found and in what way cercarias are produced and separated as the season changes, and as so the rate of infection of Clonorchis sinesis in the district "Sootaekri", "Naegokri", "Haengjunaeri" adjacent to the Han River. The aim of this experiment is to examine c10sly the relation between the 2nd intermediate host and the infection by parasites so to make it a basis for the epidemilogical studies of Clonorchis sinensis The results obtained from the investigation are as follows. 1. The natural outflow of cercaria is the greatest in August among Jun., July and August. 2. The rate of infection by cercaria of Clonorchis sinensis to parafessarulus manchouicus is 7.3% at Naegokri, 3.2% at Sootaekri, 3.1% at Haegjunaeri. 3. The total rate of infection by different kinds of cercaria is 17.1% at Naegokri, 10% at Sootaekri, 13.1% at Haegjunaeri. 4. It is confirmed that the parasitic cerearia living on snails are pleurolophocercus cercaria (cercaria of Clonorchis sinensis). Echinostomecercaria, Furcocercus cercaria, and cyathocotyle cercaria.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of habitual walking exercise on cardiovascular system in middle aged men's, liver function and blood items, For this research, The man aged 32~65 participated walking exercise program 3 times per week during the 16 weeks, They were divided into four groups; 30-40 years Exercised Group (EG; n=8), 50-60 years Exercised Group (OEG; n=8) and 30-40 years Non Exercised Group (NEG; n=8), and 50~60 years Non-Exercised Group (ONEG; n=8). The main result of this research are as follows: 1. The factor of cardiovascular system such as O_2 Pulse, EG and blood items of Hb, EG and liver function of Albumin, EG had significant different compare to before and after exercise (p<.05). 2. As the factor of cardiovascular system such as HR rest, VCO_2max, SBP, DBP, VO_2 max, and O_2 Pulse, EG and OEG had significant different compare to NEG and ONEG (p<.01). 3. following the factor of blood items such as RBC, WBC, and PLT, there were not significantly different among four groups(p<.05). By the factor of liver function such as albumin, total bilirubin, serum GOT, GPI, and r-GPI, EG had the greatest than the other groups (OEG, NEG, ONEG) in items of serum GOT, CPT, but not significantly difference, Taken together, It is found that Habitual regular walking exercise helps the reduction of VO_2max, O_2 pulse, SBP, and DBP rate according to the aging, However, more specific research about regular exercise according to the cardiovascular and liver function intensity & duration of exercise with different type of exercise should be followed.

        This paper proposes an adaptive fuzzy control method with torque observer for position control of BLDG motors. The proposed method is composed of two control inputs, that is, an adaptive fuzzy control input and an auxiliary control input based on the torque observer. The auxiliary control input is introdued to enhance the ability of control activities. The performance of the overall system is improved due to its role. A stable adaptive fuzzy control rule is obtained using Lyapunov method. In doing so, we adopt a novel error dynamics related with the output performance, which is entirely different from the usual mechanism only related with the control input performance. An illustrative example is presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

        In an attempt to compare changes in blood formed elements of athletes induced by runniag exercise with those of nonahtletes, four male well trained university athletes and 4 male non athletic university students were subjected to exercise on a treadmill with 6 M P H speed. The number of cellular componets (leukocytes, erythrocytes, platelets), and levers of hemoglobin, hematocrits, R. B. C Index (M. C. V, H. C. H, M. C. H. C), E. S. R were measured at resting state, immediately and 10 minutes after running exorcise respectively. The results obtained were as follows. 1.The number of leukocytes was lower in athletes than in nonathletes in all states but there was no significant difference between the two groups. 2.The number of erythrocytes was significantly lower in athletes than nonathletes in all states. In resting states (P<0.001) Immediately after 1000 m running exercise (P<0.001) Immediately after 2000 m running exercise (P<0.01) Immediately after 3000 m running exercise (P<0.01) 10 minutes after 3000 m running exercise (P<0.001) 3.The level of hemoglobin was significantly lower in athletes than in nonathletes in all states. In resting state (P<0.001) Immediately after 1000 m running exercise (P<0.001) Immediately after 2000 m running exercise (P<0.01) Immediately after 3000 m running exercise (P<0.01) 10 minutes after 3000 m running exercise (P<0.001) 4.The level of hematocrits was significantly lower athletes than in nonathletes in all states.         This study was intended to examine whether the existing player assessment formulas by the sports game factors sufficiently explained/assessed a quality of games for a high reliability between the calculation-relevant parties in calculating a part of sports game results which impacted the sports player assessment, and to investigate why a difference between the sports game results and an evaluative result of player'ss actual value occurred, This analysis assumed that there was a contradiction in the player assessment for the sports game results, Searching how the players assessment has been done so for and what advantages and disadvantages of assessment are, could be a basis for structuring the assessment model. The model for the study analyzed the Power Ranking Formula per position expressed by Sports Cosun (records×(40/total playing time), Rank ER Index of NBA (ER=A-B/total number of athlete play), assessment formula of KBL's player contribution (assessed score of sports game results =extra score per item - deduction per item), NSP/SP formula of Harder, the contribution formula of Sports Chosun (contribution =points +rebound +assist +steal+ block +defense +minutes]-[error =number of failed shootings]), and ATR formula evaluating the point guard (ATR=assist (error), First, 'Sports Chosun' has the meaning of players comparison per position, but cannot do the relative comparison between positions and doesn't provide an exact mathematical information, Second, ER has a similar computing method to the formula of 'Sports Chosun' except that its mathematical information is more concrete. It is not reasonable method to evaluate all players at the same time, Third, KBL's formula accepted a diversity of assessment methods compared with other formulas, There are factors of addition/deduction even in some section, It attempted to carry out the player assessment such as granting the same weight in a concrete way, However, variables which are absolutely necessary for the assessment of underground results and extension of addition/ deduction need to be generated. Also, an objectivity of weight for a removal of voluntary grant is required, Forth, ATR formula evaluates the part of player's ability, but nobody can know whether the results are influenced by any role, Compared with other formulas, this formula is very improper, Fifth the formula of 'Sports Seoul! is almost consistent to the formula that deducts the weight in KBL formula, It is very similar to the KBL formula except an easy calculation of the formula, Consequently, a careful consideration is required, Sixth the formula of Harder seems to have the save context of flow as the formula of KBL and 'Sports Seoul'.

        Manufacturing and testing of full scale prototype for ITER blanket shield block

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Based on the preliminary design of the ITER blanket shield block (SB) #8, the full scale prototype (FSP) has been manufactured and tested in accordance with pre-qualification program, and related R&D was performed to resolve the technical issues of fabrication. The objective of the SB pre-qualification program is to demonstrate the acceptable manufacturing quality by successfully passing the formal test program.</P> <P>316L(N)-IG stainless steel forging blocks with 1.80L×1.12W×0.43t (m) were developed by using an electric arc furnace, and as a result, the material properties were satisfied with technical specification. In the course of applying conventional fabrication techniques such as cutting, milling, drilling and welding of the forged stainless steel block for the manufacturing of the SB #8 FSP, several technical problems have been addressed. And also, the hydraulic connector of cross-forged material re-melted by electro slag or vacuum arc requires the application of advanced joining techniques such as automatic bore TIG and friction welding. Many technical issues – drilling, welding, slitting, non-destructive test and so on – have been raised during manufacturing. Associated R&D including the computational simulation and coupon testing has been done in collaboration with relevant industries in order to resolve these engineering issues.</P> <P>This paper provides technical key issues and their possible resolutions addressed during the manufacture and formal test of the SB #8 FSP, and related R&D.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> 316L(N)-IG forged steel was successfully fabricated and qualified. </LI> <LI> Related R&D activities were implemented to resolve the fabrication issues. </LI> <LI> SB #8 FSP was successfully manufactured with conventional fabrication techniques. </LI> <LI> All of the validation tests were carried out and met the acceptance criteria. </LI> </UL> </P>

        THE EFFECTS OF TREADMILL EXERCISE TRAINING ON CARDIOPULMONARY FUNCTlON AND BLOOD GLUCOSE IN PATIENTS WITH NIDDM

        당뇨병은 그 치료방법으로 약물요벅 식이요법과 함께 운동요법이 알려져 왔으며 운동훈련의 효과로는 혈당감소, 인슐린 감도의 향상 및 심폐계 질환의 위험인자 개선 여부가 논의되고 있다. 반면에 운동부족은 운동결핍에 의한 신체적성 저하 자체가 인슐린 비의존성 당뇨병의 유발인자 일 가능성이 감소되고 특히 신체적성중에서도 가장중요한 심폐적성을 반영하는 최대산소 섭취량의 저하가 인슐린 비의존성 당뇨병의 발병과 증세진전에 관계가 있을 가능성이 제기되기도 한다. 따라서 본 영구는 합병중이 없는 인슐린 비의존성 당뇨병 남자 환자 8명을 대상으로 개인별 최대심박수의 65%강도로 하루 30분씩 주 3회 4일간 트레이드밀 운동을 실시하여 운동훈련 전 후 혈당변화 및 최대운동부하에 따른 심폐기능의 변화를 비교하였다. 1. 혈당은 운동훈련전 207.25±79.96mg/dl에서 운동훈련후 187.25±92.35mg/dl로 20mg/dl가 저하되었다. 2. 안정시 운동훈련후 수축기와 이완기 협압, 심박수등은 감소하였고, 분당산소섭취량, 분당환기량, 분당호흡수등은 증가하였으나 운동훈련 전후간의 이러한 변화는 유의한 차가 아니였다. 3. 최대운동부하시 운동훈련부 분당 최대산소섭취량과 분당최대호흡수는 다소 증가하였으며, 분당 최대환기량은 301.18±92.41ℓ/min에서 345.62±50.89ℓ/min로 운동훈련전에 비해 약 15%증가하였다. 그러나 최대 MET는 운동훈련전 10.35±1.50에서 운동훈련후 12.00±1.51로, 최대운동시간은 16.48±3.12min.sec에서 19.45±2.18min.sec로 각각 유의하게(p<0.05) 증가하였다.

      • Near-Infrared Autofluorescence Image-Guided Parathyroid Gland Mapping in Thyroidectomy

        <P><B>Background</B></P> <P>Studies to date have shown that near-infrared autofluorescence imaging (NIR) can detect the parathyroid gland during thyroidectomy. However, there are no reports that NIR imaging can identify the parathyroid gland when it's covered with fibrofatty tissue before identification by a surgeon's naked eye. In this study, we investigated the feasibility of parathyroid gland mapping to facilitate early identification of the parathyroid gland during thyroidectomy.</P> <P><B>Study Design</B></P> <P>Seventy parathyroid glands from 38 patients who underwent thyroidectomy for papillary thyroid cancer were included in this prospective study. Near-infrared with infrared illumination (NIR-IR) imaging using a 780-nm light-emitting diode was conducted at the predicted locations of the superior or inferior parathyroid glands. Parathyroid mapping was conducted in 3 stages. Stages P1, P2, and P3 were defined as imaging before identification of the gland by direct visualization, imaging after identification, and imaging in the removed specimen, respectively.</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>Sixty-four parathyroid glands (92.8%) could be localized in stage P1 before surgical dissection and exposure of the gland. Five parathyroid glands that were not detected at stage P1 were identified in stages P2 (4 cases, 5.8%) and P3 (1 case, 1.4%). One parathyroid gland was not identified in either the NIR imaging or the pathologic examination. The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of parathyroid gland mapping in stages P1, P2, and P3 were all 100%.</P> <P><B>Conclusions</B></P> <P>Parathyroid gland mapping using our NIR-IR imaging technique was feasible, with an excellent accuracy rate. This technique may be helpful for early identification of parathyroid glands during thyroidectomy.</P>
