        UV 임프린트 리소그래피 공정을 통한 친환경적인 다양한 패턴필름의 제조와 특성분석

        임프린트 리소그래피 공정(ILP) 중, 자외선(UV) 광선을 이용한 ILP 기술은 패턴이 형성된 마스터를 사용하여 몰드를 제작하고, 제작된 몰드로 UV 경화성 레진(resin)을 일정한 압력(낮은 압력)으로 눌러준 다음, UV 조사하여 레진을 경화시킨 후, 몰드를 떼어내어 패턴을 전사시키는 방법이다. 이 방법은 고온과 고압이 필요로 하는 thermal ILP 기술보다 간단하고, 효율적인 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 패턴형성을 위해 UV-ILP 기술로 진행하였고, UV 경화성 레진은 친환경적인 아크릴계 레진을 사용하였다. 이 레진에는 불소성분을 함유하지 않아 낮은 발수성을 가질 수 있어 ILP 기술로 표면의 패턴을 다양하게 형성하여 초발수의 표면특성을 구현했다. 제작한 다양한 패턴필름의 표면형상, 경도, 접촉각, 및 열적특성 등의 평가를 수행하였고, 결론적으로 평면 타입 패턴필름 대비 육각형 패턴필름에서 120o 이상의 높은 발수성을 확인할 수 있었다. During the imprint lithography process (ILP), ILP technology using ultraviolet (UV) light is the method of pressing UV curing resins at a constant pressure (low pressure) with mold fabricated using pattern master, then UV irradiation, hardening resins, and then pulling away and transcription. This method is simpler and more efficient than the thermal ILP technology, which requires high temperature and high pressure. Thus, in this study, the UV-ILP for various pattern formulation was conducted, and the UV curing resin developed was used with environment-friendly acrylic resin. The resin does not contain fluorine, making it difficult to develop hydrophobic properties. Thus, by different mold surface patterns through the imprint process, acrylic resin also showed the super-hydrophobic surface characteristics. To evaluate the physical characteristics of UV curing resins developed, the surface properties, hardness, contact angle, and thermal characteristics were conducted. In conclusion, water-contact angle of honeycomb pattern film has shown the super-hydrophobic property over than 120 degree compared to the flat type pattern film.

        Improvement in Long-Term Stability and Photovoltaic Performance of UV Cured Resin Polymer Gel Electrolyte for Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell

        We introduced a new UV-cured resin polymer gel as an electrolyte for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) that is cured with UV irradiation to form a thin film of UV-cured resin polymer gel in the cells. The gel film was characterized and its potential for use as an electrolyte in DSSCs was investigated. This new UV-cured resin polymer gel was successfully applied as a gel polymer electrolyte in DSSCs overcoming the problems associated with the liquid electrolytes in typical DSSCs. The effect of ${\gamma}$-butylrolactone (GBL) on the long-term stability and photovoltaic performance in DSSCs using this UV-cured resin polymer gel electrolyte was also investigated. The results of the energy conversion efficiency, ionic conductivity and Raman spectra of the UV-cured resin polymer gel electrolyte with the addition of 6 wt % GBL to the UV-cured resin polymer electrolyte showed good long-term stability and photovoltaic performance for the DSSCs with the UV-cured polymer gel electrolyte.

      • Synthesis of UV-curable resin containing carboxylic ester acrylate and their properties for laminated glass application

        The UV-curing technology has been widely used in industrial coatings owing to many advantages, including no emission of volatile organic compounds, low energy consumption, low process costs, high chemical stability, ultrafast curing rate and ambient temperature operation. In this study, carboxylic ester acrylate oligomers were synthesized by the reaction between anhydride and acrylate containing hydroxyl group. In order to develop the durable laminated glass filled with UV-curing resin, various base resin containing carboxylic ester acrylate oligomer were prepared and photopolymersized by UV radiation. The viscosity, specific gravity, refractive index, and Tg of synthesized oligomers were characterized. The laminated glass specimens filled with UV-curing resin containing carboxylic ester acrylate oligomers showed higher adhesive strength, light resistance, thermal stability, impact resistance than that of Monomer specimen composed of acrylic acid and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate.

      • Influence of the composition of the UV-curing resin on the mechanical properties of the microfibrillated cellulose composites

        It seems that because microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) sheet with the resin compound such as phenol-formaldehyde(PF) resin and UV-curing acrylic resin is easy to show reinforced mechanical properties by the heat and/or photo-radical polymerization process, various kinds of studies concerning fibrillation of the fiber surface to improve MFC composite strength have been widely carried out. However, the study concerning influence of the resin characteristic such as network structure and strength on the mechanical properties of MFC composite has not fully reported yet. In this study, to investigate how network structure of the cured resin affects the mechanical properties of the final composites, the several kinds of the UV-curing resins having different network strurcture were prepared. It was evaluated relationship between characteristic of the cured resin and mechanical properties of MFC composite.

        Fabrication of Microscale Wrinkles on a Curved Surface Using Weak-Polymerization and Thermal Curing Process

        In this study, we proposed an effective and simple way to directly generate wrinkle patterns on a curved surface. A curved surface was prepared using a 3D printer and an UV (Ultraviolet)-lighting system was utilized to weakly polymerize the UV-curable thin resin layer coated on the surface, resulting in a gradient of material properties in the layer thickness. Subsequently, a thermal curing process was conducted to generate microscale wrinkles by compressive forces that were generated during complete curing. Wrinkle shapes from 5, 15, 25 sec of UV-light exposure were compared. With increasing UV-exposure, the line-width of wrinkles became thicker due to much higher strength of skin zone. The results indicated that the proposed fabrication process could be utilized for surface modification in diverse research fields.

      • Synthesis and properties of carboxylic ester acrylate oligomers for UV-curing resin system

        Photopolymerization technology has attracted a significant amount of attention due to its various industrial applications, such as coatings, paints and printing inks, adhesives, composite and dental remedial materials. In particular, UV-curing system has many advantages like as good chemical and dimensional stability, high productivity in term of cost, quick production rate in small place of work and curing at low temperature. We synthesized a series of carboxylic ester acrylate oligomers as base materials for UV curing resin. The chemical structure of carboxylic ester acrylate oligomers was identified by FT-IR and 1H-NMR measurements. The resin mixtures containing carboxylic ester acrylate oligomer, acrylate monomers and other additive were prepared and their physicochemical properties, such as viscosity, miscibility and glass transition temperature, were investigated. The adhesive properties, thermal stability, transparency as a function of time were also investigated.

        UV 경화성 수지를 이용한 가구용 옵티컬 일루젼 디자인 패턴 개발

        디자인 트렌드는 시대에 따라 변해왔으며, 최근 21세기의 디자인 트렌드는 환경 친화적인 디자인이 대세이다. 특히 디지털 컨버전스 시대로 불리는 최근에는 옵티컬 일루젼 디자인이라는 새로운 디자인 트렌드가 부상하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 환경 친화적인 UV 경화성 수지를 이용하여 가구용 옵티컬 일루젼 패턴을 디자인하였다. 디자인된 옵티컬 일루젼 미세 패턴을 포토리소그라피 반도체 미세패턴 공정으로 제조된 마이크로 몰드를 이용하여 제조하였 다. 옵티컬 일루젼 미세 패턴은 PET 필름 위에 UV 경화성 수지와 롤투롤 공정으로 제조되었다. 제조된 옵티컬 일루 젼 미세패턴 PET 필름은 홀로그램 효과를 나타내었으며, 필름 배면에 실시한 디지털 프린팅으로 금속 질감을 나타 내었다. 제조된 옵티컬 일루젼 디자인 패턴을 이용하여 emotional furniture로 부르는 새로운 디자인 개념의 가구를 제작하였다. 가구 제작에는 다양한 옵티컬 일루젼 디자인 패턴이 적용되었다. 이러한 UV 몰드에 의한 옵티컬 일루젼 디자인 패턴은 인테리어 디자인 소재의 새로운 트랜드가 될 것으로 전망된다. The design trend is changed with the times. The design trend of recent 21 century is eco-friendly design. The optical illusion design is a new trend of digital convergence era. In this study, optical illusion patterns were designed for furniture with eco-friendly UV-curable resin. The micro-patterns of optical illusion design were fabricated with the micro-mold which was mastered using a semiconductor micro-fabrication process by photolithography technique. The micro-patterns of optical illusion design were manufactured on PET film with a roll-to-roll process using a UV-curable resin. The manufactured PET film of optical illusion micro-pattern exhibits hologram effect, optical illusion effect, and texture of metal with the backside digital printing of metal tone. The furniture of new design concept so-called emotional furniture was manufactured with the various optical illusion design patterns. The optical illusion design patterns by UV mold prospect a new trend of interior design materials.

        광경화성 아크릴 수지의 경화특성에 관한 연구

        광경화성 수지인 아크릴레이트의 경화 특성과 메카니즘에 대하여 Photo-DSC와 FTIR, Raman spectrometer를 이용하여 조사하였다. 아크릴레이트 종류, 관능기 수, 광 세기 등에 따른 경화 속도에 관한 정보는 시간에 따른 Photo-DSC curve에서 계산하였고, FTIR과 Raman을 이용하여 경화 반응의 전환율과 반응 메카니즘을 조사하였다. 광경화 반응에서 산소의 영향을 알아보기 위하여 아크릴레으트 수지와 thiol-ene 수지의 경화과정을 비교하였는데, 공기 중 산소가 아크릴레이트의 라디칼 반응에서 금지제로 작용하여 아크릴레이트 수치는 80% 이하의 전환율을 보인 반면 thiol-ene 수지는 산소가 반응에 영향을 미치지 않는 것을 알 수 있었다. The curing mechanism and characteristics of UV curable acrylate resins were studied using Photo-DSC, FTIR, and Raman spectroscopy, Effects of chemical structures of acrylate, numbers of functional group, and UV intensity on curing kinetics were investigated with Photo-DSC. FTIR and Raman spectroscopy has been used to understand curing mechanisms and reaction conversion. In order to investigate the effect of oxygen on the photo-curing reaction, the curing process was compared between the acrylate and thiol-ene resins. The reaction conversion was found to be less than 80% for acrylate resins. The photo-curing reaction of the acrylate resin could not proceed to the end because of oxygen which acts as a reaction inhibitor while the thiol-ene resin was hardly affected from oxygen during the curing process.

        Photostabilization and Cure Kinetics of UV-Curable Optical Resins Containing Photostabilizers

        The photostabilization and cure kinetics of UV-curable, optical resins containing various formulations of photostabilizers were investigated to determine the system with the highest cure conversion and durability. Photo-DSC analysis revealed that increasing the concentration of a UV absorber (UVA) decreased both the crosslink density and the cure rate due to competition for the incident photons between the photoinitiator and the UVA, whereas including a hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) hardly affected either the cure conversion or the cure rate due to its very low absorption of 365 nm. This result was confirmed by FTIR-ATR spectroscopy and UV-visible spectroscopy analyses. QUV ageing experiments showed that the cure conversion and durability were the highest for the UVA/HALS formulation at a ratio of 1 : 2, which is due to their synergistic action.
