The pump is an essential machine element for vehicles to supply lubricant oil. Recently, the electric oil pump(EOP) is used to reduce the energy consumption in a hybrid vehicle. Performance of the oil pump varies greatly depending on the profile design of the rotor. So, study the profile design and analysis of the performance of the pump are studied in the paper.

Hybrid vehicles, supply of oil is essential when driving. It is issue to make recently increasing efficiency. EOP is used to reduce the energy consumption in hybrid vehicles. Efficiency of the EOP is highly dependent on the shape of the pump rotor. Therefore we compare simulation the other two profile of the rotor.
Optimal Design of Gerotor Profile with Lemniscate Lobe Shape for Noise Reduction

Since gerotor oil pump has a simple structure and has a higher discharge per cycle than other types of pumps with the same size, it has advantage for miniaturization, so it is widely used as the source of lubricant for engine lubrication of automobiles or as the hydraulic source of automatic transmissions. In order to improve the fuel efficiency and reduce the noise of gerotor oil pumps, optimization of the tooth profile is required. Thus, in this study, 2-Ex_Lemniscates; 2-expanded lemniscates curve, was developed as a new lobe shape, and theoretical equations for generating a rotor profile used as the tooth profile of the outer rotor were derived. In addition, new algorithm has removed ‘cusp’ generated in outer rotor and made uniform clearance between outer and inner rotors by applying translational movement of the x and y axes along with the expansion and rotation, and using automatic design program, optimal profile was proposed based on the analysis of performance parameters for about 2.6 million tooth profiles. The experimental results showed that the developed 2-Ex_Lemniscates oil pump showed that the flow rate at 2500 rpm was increased by about 2.9%, and average SPL (2000–3000 rpm) and pressure irregularity were decreased by 3.3% and 16.9%, respectively.

A vane-type oil pump for ISG commercial vehicle has been developed to respond to the reinforced fuel economy regulations by reducing the driving power consumption. The pump has a construction of a single suction and two separate discharges to both low-pressure and high-pressure lines. In this paper, structural analysis of the vane pump has been carried out. The effect of the relative position of the vanes and the rotor in the fast-running pump on structural safety has been investigated. The maximum stress of the pump decreases as the thickness of the vane increases. If the length and thickness of the vane are constant, the maximum stress increases with the increasing ratio of protrusion length of the vane.
Construction of an Oil Pump Rotor Production Line with High Productivity

New product line with additional secondary operation of oil pump rotor was built in necessity of increasing capacity. This new line includes steam treatment process after sizing. The new line achieved 1.6 times higher performance compared with a conventional line.

The gerotor type volumetric displacement pump is suitable for oil or water hydraulics. For this reason, many researchers have been studied and widely used in various fields. In this study, we were optimized design rotor profile, based on an envelope of a family of curves, is proposed. The influence of the circular tooth radius and the eccentricity on the configuration of the pump has been explored in this paper. Throughout theoretical study, designed inner-rotor and outer-rotor.
