        집단모래놀이치료가 여자중학생의 자기통제력과 자아정체성 표현에 미치는 효과

        본 연구의 목적은 집단모래놀이치료가 여자중학생의 자기통제력과 자아정체성 표현에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 데 있다. 중학생들은 사회화와 다양한 사회적 상황에 대한 적응을 통해 자신의 경계와 역할을 실험하고, 바람직한 사고방식을 습득하면서 정체감을 형성하기 시작한다. 이 과정에서 자기통제력은 중학생들이 다양한 상황에서 적절하게 대응하고 행동할 수 있도록 하는 중요한 역할을 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 집단모래놀이치료에 참여한 여자중학생의 행동과 상호작용을 통해 자기통제력 및 자아정체성에 대한 이해를 높이고, 참여자 개인의 독특성을 반영하기 위해 양적연구와 질전 사례연구 방법을 적용하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면, 집단모래놀이치료가 여자중학생의 자기통제격을 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 단순과제선호, 위험추구성, 육체활동선호, 자기중심성 등 자기통제력의 하위영역에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 집단 모래놀이치료 과정에서 연구참여자들의 이야기를 수집하고 분석하여 자아정체성 형성에 대해 공통적으로 표현된 주제들을 확인하였다. 이는 또 다른 ‘나’와 마주함, ‘나’를 촉진하는 보이지 않는 동력, ‘나로서기’를 위한 고군분투, 신성한 ‘나’로 태어남의 4가지 대주제로 분류되었디. 결과적으로 집단모래놀이치료는 연구참여자들에게 신성한 새로운 자아정체성 형성을 경험을 제공하였다. 이를 통해 이전의 ‘나’보다 성숙해지고, 있는 그대로 자신을 드러낼 수 있었으며, 자기통제력을 향상시킬 수 있었다. This study explores the impact of group sandplay therapy on the self-control and ego-identity of female middle school students. During middle school, students begin to form a sense of identity as they experiment with their boundaries and roles through socialization and adaptation to various social situations, and acquire desirable behaviors and ways of thinking. Self-control plays an important role in this process, enabling them to respond and act appropriately in various situations. Therefore, this study utilized quantitative research and qualitative case study methods to develop an understanding of self-control and ego-identity through the behaviors and interactions of middle school girls participating in group sand play therapy, and to reflect the individual uniqueness of each participant. The findings indicate that group sandplay therapy effectively improves self-control among female middle school students. Specifically, it positively influences subfactors of self-control such as simple task preference, risk-taking, physical activity preference, and egocentricity. Additionally, through the collection and analysis of participants’ stories in group sandplay therapy sessions, we identified recurring themes related to ego-identity formation. The four major themes were: facing another “I”, Invisible power that promotes “I”, struggle to “stand as intact I”, and being born as a divine “I”. Ultimately, group sandplay therapy offers participants a sacred and transformative experience. That allowing them to express their true selves, transcend previous limitations, and cultivate improved self-control.

        모의 양육행동과 놀이신념이 자녀의 언어발달에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 어머니의 놀이 신념과 양육 스타일이 영아기 자녀의 언어 발달에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 영아용 순차적 언어 척도(김영태 외, 2003), 부모 양육 스타일 설문지(Bornstein, et al., 1996; 이형민 외, 2008), 그리고 부모 놀이 신념 척도(Fogle, 2003; Lee, 2008)를 사용하여 6개월에서 24개월 사이의 영아기 자녀를 키우는 243명의 어머니로부터 자료를 수집하였고, SPSS V.22.0과 Process Macro를 통해 분석되었다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자녀의 월령, 자녀의 성별, 어머니의 양육행동, 그리고 어머니의 놀이지지 신념은 자녀의 언어발달에 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 어머니의 양육행동이 자녀의 언어발달에 미치는 영향력의 관계에서 어머니의 놀이지지 신념은 유의한 매개효과를 보였다. 본 연구의 결과는 어머니들이 아동들이 놀이에서 실험하고 탐색할 수 있도록 허용하면서 놀이를 힘께 즐길 수 있을 때 자녀의 언어발달이 더욱 촉진될 수 있음을 시사한다. The aim of this study is to examine the influence of mothers’ beliefs about play and their parenting style on the language development of their children. Data were collected from 243 mothers with children aged between 6 and 24 months using the Sequenced Language Scale for Infants (Kim et al., 2003), the Parental Style Questionnaire (Bornstein et al., 1996: Lee et al., 2008), and the Parent Play Beliefs Scale (Fogle, 2003: Lee, 2008). Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS 22.0 and Process Macro. The findings can ge summarized as follows: Firstly, children’s monthly age, gender, mothers’ parenting style, and beliefs about play had notable impacts on their children’s language development. Secondly, mothers’ beliefs that support play had significant mediating effects on the developmental levels of their children’s language with the main effects of mothers’ parenting style. The findings suggest that when mothers allow their children to experiment and explore during play, while enjoying play together, and set positive limits, children’s language development can be further facilitated.

        A psychological and legal analysis of the figurines in the sand picture of a 12-year-old girl induced into a “marriage” with a man in his late 40’s

        This article seeks to explore the symbolism of Sandplay figurines in relation to a 12-year-old girl who was induced into a child “marriage” with a man in his late forties. By analysing the Sandplay figurines, this article aims to shed light on the psychological and physical impact of child “marriage” on the child. The narrative expressed through the placement of figurines emphasizes the vulnerability and loss of childhood felt by the child, while also highlighting the involvement of archetypal key figures such as the stepmother, father, step sisters, close relatives and neighbours in the arrangement and the cajoling of the child into “marriage”. These archetypal figures tap into the collective unconscious and are represented in fairytales such as Cinderella and in the opera Madame Butterfly. The role of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) which all African countries have ratified, will be considered. While the UNCRC does not specifically refer to Child “Marriage”, some of the articles can be used to condemn Child “Marriage” and protect child victims from what is a paedophiliac practice. In contrast, the African Convention on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC), article 21(2), explicitly refers to child marriage, deems it to be illegal and makes several recommendations on how governments can protect and support child victims of this practice.

        이혼가정 아동의 모래놀이치료 과정에서 나타나는 상징에 대한 연령별 고찰

        This study focused on the sandplay therapy process of 8 children of divorced families by age and analyzed these cases by applying the qualitative case study method according to Stake's(1995) reactive evaluation. We found, first, among the children of divorced families, that the symbol revealed in the sandpictures of the youngest (7-year-old) children was a negative maternal symbol. Second, the symbol revealed in the sandpictures of the next oldest (9-year-old) children was alchemical purification and transformation. Third, the symbol revealed in the sandpictures of children at the end of childhood (11 years old) was self-arrangement and struggle. Fourth, the symbol revealed in the sandpictures of children aged 12 to 13, the early age of adolescents, was the appearance of the paternal circle. The results revealed the development of a masculine consciousness that overcame dependence on motherhood and transitioned into a patriarchal world. In this way, the children of divorced families re-experienced relationships through symbols in the process of sandplay therapy to achieve self-development by age, deconstructing the mental structures, and reaching the stage of self-arrangement, revealing their progress toward growth.

        모래놀이치료가 우간다 길거리 아동들의 외상 후 스트레스 증상과 회복탄력성에 미치는 효과

        Poverty has forced over a million children in Uganda to live on the streets. These children often come from families where they suffered violence and sexual abuse. Besides starvation and unhygienic conditions, street children face physical and sexual abuse. The perpetrators range from adults such as the police to other street children. For our study, we recruited sixteen former street children, eight boys and eight girls. They were living in a child welfare facility at the time of research. We used the mixed research method for our research design. For quantitative research, we used two measures: CRIES-13 (Children’s Revised Impact of Event Scale-13), CYRM-28 (Child & Youth Resilience Measure). We used a qualitative case research method to analyze the themes in the sandplay process. The quantitative results indicated that the group sandplay therapy improved PTSD Symptoms and resilience. The qualitative results revealed several common themes such garbage, salvation and big project.

        집단모래놀이치료가 중국 거주 조선족 아동의 또래관계 질과 행동문제에 미치는 효과

        This study is to investigate the effectiveness of group sandplay therapy on quality of peer relationship and behavioral problems of Korean-Chinese children in China and to interpret meaning of sandpictures made by them. Utilizing a mixed-method design, twelve participants (mean age=11.50 years, 50% females) were assigned to three experiment groups with four participants in each group and another 12 children (mean age=13.50 years, 50% females) were assigned to the control group. A total of 8 sessions of group sandplay therapy were provided 2~3 times per week for 80 minutes per session. The quantitative results indicated that the group sandplay therapy improved quality of peer relationship and decreased behavioral problems. The qualitative results revealed several common themes such as emptiness, disconnection/separation, concealment, hinderance/obstruction, connection, upbringing, integration/adaptation.         This study explores the bell’s attributes as a representation of wholeness, analyzed through the lens of analytical psychology. Encompassing its production, religious significance, and literary references, our aim is to uncover the profound meaning behind the bell. The bell’s transformative journey parallels the internal struggles of individuals grappling with emerging energies while bringing unconscious thoughts into awareness. As a potent symbol, the bell possesses the unique power to bridge and harmonize opposing elements. It plays a dual role as both a religious emblem and a literary motif, embodying spirituality as a conduit for divine communication, while also safeguarding against malevolent spirits and natural perils. Additionally, it symbolizes the intricate balance between feminine and masculine forces. The resonating sound of the bell serves to awaken consciousness, initiating a cyclical process alternating between awareness and the unconscious, facilitating the experience of death and rebirth. Operating as an alarm, it illuminates existence, stirring the psyche toward an altered state of awareness and eventual conscious realization. Therefore, the bell acts as a catalyst, facilitating creative transformation that integrates disparate aspects into unity, embodying the essence of wholeness within an individual’s psyche. Through this exploration, we shed light on the bell’s pivotal role in profound psychological transformation.

        모래놀이치료가장애아동 어머니의 우울과 양육스트레스에 미치는 효과

        This study applied sandplay therapy to mothers with disabled children and had them express emotions suppressed while rearing their children, thereby intending to improve their power to cope with stress through internal reinforcement that may relieve psychological recession. In order to verify the above study issues, 28 mothers were selected as subjects and equally divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group received sandplay therapy for 40 minutes once per week, for a total of 10 weeks, and a test on the scale of depression and stress from child rearing was conducted prior to and after each session of sandplay therapy. The results of this study showed that sandplay therapy was effective in decreasing depression and stress from child rearing in mothers with disabled children. This study’s results are considered to provide basic data that can be utilized as a psychological therapeutic approach for seeking the stability of depressed ego resulting from depression and stress in mothers with disabled children, and also improvement in the quality of care of disabled children.

        자스민(Jasmine): 소금의 지혜로 관계하는 치유의 여성성 -모래놀이치료를 중심으로-

        This study examined the symbolism of Jasmine, a character in Disney’s Aladdin films, whose archetype emerged as a compensation for what was lacking in a child’s consciousness through sandplay therapy. To understand the symbolism of Jasmine, this study was conducted regarding Jasmine’s origin and background by watching two films and reading related stories before analyzing the client’s sandpictures. A 7-year-old girl with symptoms of separation anxiety was the client in this study. The symbol of Jasmine, or the feminine healing qualities that help form a relationship through the wisdom of salt, emerged in the client’s sandpictures as the possibility of growth, light of consciousness, healing power, harmony with masculine energy, and a new image of family. The feminine principles that engage in relationships through the wisdom of salt is a value, encompssing us, that penetrates the times. The wisdom is discovered as an outcome of the pain that lead to growth. The sandplay process healed the client’s psychological difficulties while the Jasmine symbol gave her the strength and courage that she needed to form a relationship with the world through a new wisdom of life.

        가족의 문제를 공유하고 있는 6세 여아의 모래놀이치료 사례: ‘심리적 변환’

        This is a case study of sandplay therapy with a six-year-old girl with anxiety. It concerns her journey of overcoming emotional wounds and experiencing growth. We conducted 20 sessions with the client over 10 months from September 2018 to July 2019. We found that her unconscious processed family problems that nobody expressed in language. The client expressed this through symbolic play in her sand trays. Through the sandplay process, she started to overcome her psychological difficulties. We noted the link between the healing power of the unconscious and her psychological transformation. Thus, our study shows that even if only one child has sandplay therapy, it is possible to deal with family problems or members through it.
