        간호대학생의 핵심기본간호술 수행자신감 영향요인: 간호전문직관과 자기효능감을 중심으로

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors with nursing students’s confidence in performing fundamental nursing skills. The focus was on professionalism and self-efficacy. Method: For the sample 258 fourth graders of nursing students were recruited in two universities located in Gyeongnam or Ulsan. Data were analyzed using t-test, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: The mean score for confidence in performing fundamental nursing skills was 3.71±0.58. Nursing professionalism and self-efficacy were positively correlated with confidence in performing fundamental nursing skills. Analysis using multiple regression showed that 27% of factors predicting confidence in performance of fundamentals of nursing practice (F=16.43, p<.001) included nursing professionalism (β=.37, p<.001), self-expression (β=.15, p=.009), and self-efficacy (β=.14, p=.029). Conclusion: Findings show that nursing professionalism is one of the major factors influencing confidence in performing fundamental nursing skills. In order to improve the confidence in performing fundamental nursing skills, it is necessary to establish effective educational strategies that firmly enhance nursing professionalism and improve self-efficacy in nursing students.

        기본간호학회지 게재 논문 분석을 통한 연구 동향 탐구

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze articles published in the Journal of Korean Academy of Fundamental Nursing from 2001 to 2007. Method: Three hundred articles were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The focus was on research type, methodolgy and keywords. Results: Thirty percent of the research was supported financially. Ninety-four percent was quantitative research and of these the majority were surveys (73.2%). The rate of adoption for hypotheses in experimental studies were 55.07% but only 3% of the research included conceptual framework. The most common settings for data collection were clinical settings (51.99%), followed by community settings (43.71%). For data analysis, descriptive statistics (27.5%), t-test (17.1%), ANOVA (15.3%) and chi-square (7.9%) were most frequently used. Keywords were categorized into four nursing metaparadigms : human-beings, health, nursing, and environment. The most frequently used domain was health. Conclusion: The number of research papers published in the Journal of Korean Academy of Fundamental Nursing has increased and the quality has improved compared with articles published before 2001 year. Research topics varied and were mostly conducted on the basis of logical positivism.

        일 대학 간호학생의 자기효능감, 실습만족도 및 기본간호수기술과의 관계

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among self-efficacy, satisfaction with practice and fundamentals of nursing practicum in student nurses. Method: The participants were 185 first year students at K College of Nursing in Jeonbuk Province who were taking a practicum for Fundamentals of Nursing and agreed to participate in the study. Data collection was done from November 19 to 30, 2007. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire on self-efficacy, satisfaction with practice and fundamentals of nursing practicum. Data were analyzed by SPSS-PC ver 12.0. Results: Self-efficacy and fundamentals of nursing practicum were significantly different depending on satisfaction with major and school life. Satisfaction with practice was significantly different depending on relationship with schoolmates and school life. Self-efficacy showed a significantly positive correlation with satisfaction with practice and fundamentals of nursing practicum. Also, satisfaction with practice showed a significantly positive correlation with fundamentals of nursing practicum. Conclusion: This study suggests that self-efficacy helps student nurses to plan a self-directed nursing performance, improves their ability to solve problems and helps to perform fundamentals of nursing practicum well.

        기본간호학실습 수업의 문화기술지 연구

        Purpose: Objectives of this study were to identify and describe cultural meaning for nursing students in the class in fundamental nursing practice. Methods: Data were collected from November 2016 to May 2017 included focus group interviews and participants observation. The key informants in this study included 23 nursing students divided into 3 focus groups who had taken the course in fundamental nursing practice in university U and university S in Kyungpook, and university D in Jeonnam. Interviews continued until no new information could be identified from transcripts. Data were analyzed using the taxonomic analysis method developed by Spradley. Results: Based on the data acquired from the interviews, cultural domains in the class “fundamental nursing practice” were classified as ‘community oriented activities’, ‘learning and playing space’, ‘relationship of difference and discrimination’, ‘time for present and future’. Conclusion: The culture in the class “fundamental nursing practice” could be summarized as ‘non-standardized learning with team dynamics’. Also nursing students learned about a small society whose members are becoming nurses. Results indicate that it is critical for professors to understand students’ values, beliefs and their attitude in order to aid in adjustment to class.

        일 대학 간호학생의 기본간호학 실습교육 인식에 다른 실습교육 전 후 간호가치관과 간호전문직 태도에 관한 연구

        Purpose: This study was to examine nursing values and attitudes toward nursing professions after fundamental nursing practice education. Method: The participants were 166 first-year students. Values and professional attitude were measured. Results: Nursing values increased to 4.49 (±.42) after 1st semester and 4.64 (±.35) after 2nd semester from 4.32 (±.47) before the education(t=7.71, p=.000). Nursing professional attitude also increased to 3.95 (±.49) after 1st semester and 4.20 (±.45) after 2nd semester(t=9.1, p= .000). While voluntary applicants have showed a significant difference in nursing values since they started college education(t=3.34, p=.001), partially voluntarily applicants showed after finishing the 1 st semester(t=-3.02, p=.002). Regarding nursing professional attitude of voluntary applicants, there was a significant difference between starting college education(t=2.35, p=.020) and finishing the 1st semester(t=-2.66, p= .008). Interest in fundamental nursing practice had a significant correlation with satisfaction(r=.301, p=.000) and nursing values(r=.163, p=.035). Nursing values had a significant correlation with nursing professional attitude(r=.590, p=.000). Conclusion: The fundamental nursing practice is effective in changing nursing values and nursing professional attitude in students taking the course.

        간호대학생의 건강관련생활양식과 건강상태와의 관계

        Purpose: This study was done to investigate the relationship between health related lifestyle and health status. Method: A survey was conducted with a questionnaire. Participants were 220 student nurses who were selected from G College, Incheon, Korea. ANOVA, t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient were used to analyze the data on health related lifestyle and health status. Results: First year student nurses had significantly higher score on health related lifestyle than senior students. But the social health status of senior students was significantly higher than that of first year students. Social health status was shown to be high for the students who had never been ill, who lived in their own house, and whose economic status was at the median level. There was a statistically significant correlation between health related lifestyle and health status (physical, emotional and social), Conclusion: Health related lifestyle has a significant influence on physical, emotional and social health. Also health conception, disease experience and economic status are related to physical, social health, and where the student lives has an effect on health related lifestyle.

        사례기반학습이 간호대학생의 임상 의사결정 능력과 간호수행 능력에 미치는 효과

        Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine the effects of case-based learning (CBL) on clinical decision making and nursing performance. Methods: This research was conducted between September, 2011 and January, 2012 as a nonequivalent comparison group design. The participants were 55 third year nursing students who were enrolled in a college of nursing in a university in Korea. The intervention was the CBL procedures which involved role-play practice videoed by camera and watched on the computer by the students. Questionnaires were used before and after the intervention to measure clinical decision-making. Nursing performance tests were done after the intervention. Results: Statistically significant group differences were observed in clinical decision-making. Nursing performance was significantly higher in the CBL group than in the control group. Conclusion: CBL focused on the solving problem process and clinical cases which are based on clinical setting allowing students to develop efficiency in clinical practice and adaptation to the clinical situation.

        간호대학생의 기본간호수기 수행능력의 영향요인

        Purpose: This research was conducted to identify major factors that influence competency for nursing students in basic nursing skills. Method: Data were collected by questionnaires from 290 first year students in one college of nursing. The instrument tools included motivation for admission to nursing, concern about fundamentals of nursing, perceived importance of fundamentals of nursing, level of active participation in fundamentals of nursing, number of times to use open Lab, Lab class satisfaction, self-efficacy, self-evaluation and student attitude. Results: There was no significant correlation between competency in basic nursing skills and motivation for admission to nursing, concern about fundamentals of nursing, perceived importance of fundamentals of nursing, or number of times to use open Lab. Competency in basic nursing skill in these students showed a significantly positive correlation to Lab class satisfaction, self-efficacy, self-evaluation, student attitude and level of active participation in fundamentals of nursing. The major factors that influenced competency in basic nursing skills for nursing students were student attitude, self-efficacy and number of times to use open Lab. These factors explained 15.5% of the variance in competency. Conclusion: Basic nursing skill practice education programs should be developed to improve self-efficacy and active participation.

        간호대학생의 핵심기본간호술 수행자신감 영향 요인

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the learning style, learning efficacy, transfer of learning, and confidence in performance competence of Core Basic Nursing Skills (CBNS) and factors influencing confidence in performance competence of CBNS by nursing students. Methods: A descriptive study design was used. Participants were 148 nursing students. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 for descriptive statistics, ANCOVA, correlation and regression. Results: Learning styles of the participants were assimilator 33.11%, accommodator 26.35%, diverger 23.65%, and converger 16.89%. Learning efficacy was significantly different according to learning styles, however, transfer of learning and confidence in performance competence of CBNS were not significantly different according to learning styles. Confidence in performance competence of CBNS positively correlated with transfer of learning and learning efficacy. Transfer of learning was a significant predictor of confidence in performance competence of CBNS. Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that transfer of learning influences confidence in performance competence of CBNS. Thus, nursing faculty should develop educational strategies to enhance and improve transfer of learning, and development of effective confidence in performance competence of CBNS programs.
