Earthquake-related Crush Injury versus Non-Earthquake Injury in Abdominal Trauma Patients on Emergency Multidetector Computed Tomography: A Comparative Study

        Tian-wu Chen,Zhi-gang Yang,Zhi-hui Dong,Zhi-gang Chu,Si-shi Tang,Wen Deng 대한의학회 2011 Journal of Korean medical science Vol.26 No.3

The aim of this study was to investigate features of abdominal earthquake-related crush traumas in comparison with non-earthquake injury. A cross sectional survey was conducted with 51 survivors with abdominal crush injury in the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, and 41with abdominal non-earthquake injury, undergoing non-enhanced computed tomography (CT) scans, serving as earthquake trauma and control group, respectively. Data were analyzed between groups focusing on CT appearance. We found that injury of abdominalwall soft tissue and fractures of lumbar vertebrae were more common in earthquake trauma group than in control group (28 vs 13 victims, and 24 vs 9, respectively; all P <0.05); and fractures were predominantly in transverse process of 1-2 vertebrae among L1-3 vertebrae. Retroperitoneal injury in the kidney occurred more frequently in earthquake trauma group than in control group (29 vs 14 victims, P < 0.05). Abdominal injury in combination with thoracic and pelvic injury occurred more frequently in earthquake trauma group than in control group (43 vs 29 victims, P < 0.05). In conclusion, abdominal earthquake-related crush injury might be characteristic of high incidence in injury of abdominal-wall soft tissue, fractures of lumbar vertebrae in transverse process of 1-2 vertebrae among L1-3 vertebrae, retroperitoneal injury in the kidney, and in combination with injury in the thorax and pelvis.

RON and MET Co-overexpression Are Significant Pathological Characteristics of Poor Survival and Therapeutic Targets of Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer

        Tian-Hao Weng,Min-Ya Yao,Xiang-Ming Xu,Chen-Yu Hu,Shu-Hao Yao,Yi-Zhi Liu,Zhi-Gang Wu,Tao-Ming Tang,Pei-Fen Fu,Ming-Hai Wang,Hang-Ping Yao 대한암학회 2020 Cancer Research and Treatment Vol.52 No.3

Purpose Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is highly malignant and has poor prognosis and a high mortality rate. The lack of effective therapy has spurred our investigation of new targets for treating this malignant cancer. Here, we identified RON (macrophage-stimulating 1 receptor) and MET (MET proto-oncogene, receptor tyrosine kinase) as a prognostic biomarker and therapeutic targets for potential TNBC treatment. Materials and Methods We analyzed RON and MET expression in 187 primary TNBC clinical samples with immunohistochemistry. We validated the targeted therapeutic effects of RON and MET in TNBC using three tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs): BMS-777607, INCB28060, and tivantinib. The preclinical therapeutic efficacy of the TKIs was mainly estimated using a TNBC xenograft model. Results Patients with TNBC had widespread, abnormal expression of RON and MET. There was RON overexpression, MET overexpression, and RON and MET co-overexpression in 63 (33.7%), 63 (33.7%), and 43 cases (23.0%), respectively, which had poor prognosis and short survival. In vivo, the TKI targeting RON ant MET inhibited the activation of the downstream signaling molecules, inhibited TNBC cell migration and proliferation, and increased TNBC cell apoptosis; in the xenograft model, they significantly inhibited tumor growth and shrank tumor volumes. The TKI targeting RON and Met, such as BMS-777607 and tivantinib, yielded stronger anti-tumor effects than INCB28060. Conclusion RON and MET co-overexpression can be significant pathological characteristics in TNBC for poor prognosis. TKIs targeting RON and MET have stronger drug development potential for treating TNBC.

Node Incentive Mechanism in Selfish Opportunistic Network

        ( Hao-tian Wang ),( Zhi-gang Chen ),( Jia Wu ),( Lei-lei Wang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2019 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.13 No.3

In opportunistic network, the behavior of a node is autonomous and has social attributes such as selfishness. If a node wants to forward information to another node, it is bound to be limited by the node's own resources such as cache, power, and energy. Therefore, in the process of communication, some nodes do not help to forward information of other nodes because of their selfish behavior. This will lead to the inability to complete cooperation, greatly reduce the success rate of message transmission, increase network delay, and affect the overall network performance. This article proposes a hybrid incentive mechanism (Mim) based on the Reputation mechanism and the Credit mechanism. The selfishness model, energy model (The energy in the article exists in the form of electricity) and transaction model constitute our Mim mechanism. The Mim classifies the selfishness of nodes and constantly pay attention to changes in node energy, and manage the wealth of both sides of the node by introducing the Central Money Management Center. By calculating the selfishness of the node, the currency trading model is used to differentiate pricing of the node's services. Simulation results show that by using the Mim, the information delivery rate in the network and the fairness of node transactions are improved. At the same time, it also greatly increases the average life of the network

      • Hypoxia-inducible Factor 1 Alpha (HIF-1α) as a Prognostic Indicator in Patients with Gastric Tumors: A Meta-analysis

Zhang, Zhi-Gang,Zhang, Qiu-Ning,Wang, Xiao-Hu,Tian, Jin-Hui Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.7

Background and Objective: Though researched for years, the prognostic role of hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha (HIF-$1{\alpha}$) in gastric cancer is still controversial. We thus undertook a systematic review to assess the relationship. Method: A systematically literature search of Pubmed, Embase, Web of Science, China Biological Medicine Disc and Cochrane Library was undertaken in February 2013, and the reference lists of articles were retrieved. Results: 12 trials (1,555 participants) were included to assess the association between HIF-$1{\alpha}$ expression and survival. Summary hazard ratios (HRs) were calculated. HIF-$1{\alpha}$ expression was significantly correlated with poor overall survival of gastric cancer patients (HR=1.34, 95%CI: 1.13-1.58; P=0.0009), but not with poor disease free survival of gastric cancer patients (HR=1.67, 95%CI: 0.99-2.82; P=0.06). Conclusion: HIF-$1{\alpha}$ was associated with poor OS, but not DFS, especially for Asian patients. But studies evaluating relationships of HIF-$1{\alpha}$ with OS and DFS in non-Asian gastric cancer patients appear needed.

Identification of candidate odorant‐degrading enzyme genes in the antennal transcriptome of Aphidius gifuensis

        Kang Zhi‐Wei,Liu Fang‐Hua,Xu Yong‐Yu,Cheng Jia‐Hui,Lin Xiao‐Li,Jing Xiang‐Feng,Tian Hong‐Gang,Liu Tong‐Xian 한국곤충학회 2021 Entomological Research Vol.51 No.1

Odorant‐degrading enzymes (ODEs) have been found in insect antennae and play a critical role in signal chemical degradation once the message is conveyed. Significant progress has been made in characterizing ODEs in a variety of pests but very little is known in their natural enemies. We have carried out an antennae‐ and sex‐specific transcriptome of Aphidius gifuensis, a natural enemy of aphid, to identify the candidate ODEs. Based on the antennae‐ and sex‐specific transcriptome, a total of 100 putative ODEs were identified including one aldehyde oxidase (AOX), four alcohol dehydrogenases (ADs), eight UDP‐glucuronosyltransferases (UGTs), 45 cytochrome P450 (P450s), nine glutathione S‐transferases (GSTs) and 40 carboxylesterases (CCEs or CXEs). Additionally, we used RT‐qPCR to determine the expression profiles of these genes in tissues of both sexes. Based on the phylogenic analysis and tissue‐expression patterns, AgifEstE4, AgifCXE3, AgifCCE4, AgifCCE7, and AgifCCE18 were suggested as key ODEs in A. gifuensis. In addition, the female or male specifically enriched genes, such as AgifCCE17, AgifEstB1, AgifCYP18a1, AgifUGT2C2, were also considered to involve in the chemosensory processing in A. gifuensis. This study not only identified the candidate ODEs in A. gifuensis but also provided source for further exploration of the molecular mechanisms of chemical signal transductions in A. gifuensis, as well as other hymenopteran species.

Vibration analysis of new drill string system with hydro-oscillator in horizontal well

        Jia-lin Tian,Zhi Yang,You Li,Lin Yang,Chun-ming Wu,Gang Liu,Chang-fu Yuan 대한기계학회 2016 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.30 No.6

With the growth of oil and gas resource demand, the hydro-oscillator is widely used to enhance the Rate of penetration (ROP) and improve the efficacy in drilling various wells. The vibration model is the key issue of dynamics analysis and optimization of downhole tools. For the vibration analysis of the new drill string system with hydro-oscillator in the horizontal well, based on the design of the new hydro-oscillator and its operation conditions, the kinematics expressions are presented. Combined with the vibration force calculation results of the hydro-oscillator, the dynamics model of the new drill string system is established. Furthermore, the important features of vibration frequency, displacement, velocity and acceleration are discussed in the numerical example calculation results. By comparing the results of the calculation and experiment test, we can verify the correctness of the analysis model. With the hydro-oscillator vibration effect, the static friction between the drill string and wellbore is changed to the dynamic friction, so it can result in a significant increase in run length. At the same time, the ROP can be enhanced with the vibration effect. Moreover, with the parameters’ adjustment according to the operation conditions, the analysis method and model can also provide references to the study of similar downhole tools dynamics or mechanical properties.

Rock-breaking analysis model of new drill bit with tornado-like bottomhole model

        Jia-lin Tian,Chang-fu Yuan,Lin Yang,Chuan-hong Fu,Gang Liu,Zhi Yang,Chun-ming Wu 대한기계학회 2015 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.29 No.4

For improving the rock-breaking efficiency of oil and gas drill bits, a new drill bit is presented with tornado-like bottomhole model(named swirling cutting bit). The new drill bit cutter breaks rock with shocking and cutting effect during the drilling process, and theelements on largest ring cross the borehole center with high speed. It can effectively improve the center rock-breaking efficiency. Meanwhile, for all cutters on different rings breaking rock at the same time, it can optimize the rock-breaking volume of each element andimprove the bit service life. To analyze the interaction features between cutters and rock, the position equations are established by thecylindrical coordinates and complex movement principles, and then the velocity and acceleration equations can be obtained. Based on thenumerical example results, this paper analyzes the bottomhole model, the contact section, and the distribution features of velocities andaccelerations on different rings. By analyzing the acceleration results, we can study the failure mechanism of cutters. At the same time, lab experiments test the bottomhole model and rock-breaking features, and it verifies the accuracy of calculation method and equations. Moreover, the analysis method and models are also applicable to other types of bits or composite bits, and the inputting parameters needcorresponding adjustment for different type of bits.

CHISELED NICKEL HYDROXIDE NANOPLATES GROWTH ON GRAPHENE SHEETS FOR LITHIUM ION BATTERIES

        LEI-LEI TIAN,XIAN-YONG WEI,QUAN-CHAO ZHUANG,CHAO WU,RUI-LUN XIE,ZHI-MIN ZONG,YONG-LI CUI,SHI-GANG SUN 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2013 NANO Vol.8 No.6

The morphologies and structures of Ni(OH)2–graphene hybrid materials were tailored by using different mineralizers in this work. It was revealed that the synergic effects of the highly oxidized graphene sheets and the mineralizers played a crucial role in controlling the morphology and structure of the nanocomposites, and Na2CO3 is a very effective mineralizer for growing chiseled 2D nanoplates of Ni(OH)2 on graphene sheets. When produced with NaOH, fragmental Ni(OH)2 crystals with irregular shapes erratically decorated on graphene sheets. In contrast, chiseled Ni(OH)2 hexagonal nanoplates grown on graphene sheets were obtained when Na2CO3 was used as the mineralizer. These unique 2D–2D nanoarchitectures with higher contact area between the nanocrystals and graphene substrate can increase the interfacial interaction and then efficiently improve the structural stability of the composite material, thus exhibiting an enhanced Li storage capacity and excellent cycling performance of 562 mAh g-1 after the 36th cycle.

Multiobjective Optimization of Three-Stage Spur Gear Reduction Units Using Interactive Physical Programming

Huang Hong Zhong,Tian Zhi Gang,Zuo Ming J. The Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers 2005 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.19 No.5

The preliminary design optimization of multi-stage spur gear reduction units has been a subject of considerable interest, since many high-performance power transmission applications (e.g., automotive and aerospace) require high-performance gear reduction units. There are multiple objectives in the optimal design of multi-stage spur gear reduction unit, such as minimizing the volume and maximizing the surface fatigue life. It is reasonable to formulate the design of spur gear reduction unit as a multi-objective optimization problem, and find an appropriate approach to solve it. In this paper an interactive physical programming approach is developed to place physical programming into an interactive framework in a natural way. Class functions, which are used to represent the designer's preferences on design objectives, are fixed during the interactive physical programming procedure. After a Pareto solution is generated, a preference offset is added into the class function of each objective based on whether the designer would like to improve this objective or sacrifice the objective so as to improve other objectives. The preference offsets are adjusted during the interactive physical programming procedure, and an optimal solution that satisfies the designer's preferences is supposed to be obtained by the end of the procedure. An optimization problem of three-stage spur gear reduction unit is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
