      • Active Disturbance Rejection Control for Fluidized Bed Combustor

        Zhenlong Wu,Donghai Li,Yali Xue,Lingmei Wang,Jing Wang 제어로봇시스템학회 2016 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2016 No.10

Active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) is applied in fluidized bed combustor (FBC) facing some control difficulty. By analyzing the difficulties, ADRC controllers are designed for the power loop and the bed temperature loop of FBC system. The simulation demonstrates both loops with ADRC have a better tracking speed and a stronger robustness, the power loop can inhibit the input and output disturbance quickly and the temperature loop has a slight advantage in disturbance rejection. Besides, manipulated variables is analyzed by the phase diagrams.

One Step Fabrication of Micro-hole on SiCp/Al Cambered Surface by Micro-EDM and Mechanical-reaming Combined Machining

        Sirui Gong,Han Wang,Xiaolong He,Zhenlong Wang,Yukui Wang 한국정밀공학회 2023 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.10 No.4

SiCp/Al, as a new material, is widely used for its excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance and other properties. Micro-holes are important but difficult to obtain on this ceramic material especially in curved surface. In this paper, taking micro bearing bush as an example, a micro-EDM and in-situ micro-reaming method is put forward for preparing micro through holes and micro eccentric holes on SiCp/Al cambered surface, without secondary clamping or tool change. High machining efficiency, low wear and no recasting layer can be achieved by this method. Here, machining characteristics is studied in hole micro-EDM on SiCp/Al, small taper and high efficiency machining is realized by comparing four electrical discharge drilling technique. Carbon deposition and tool wear are related to electrical parameters according to experimental exploration. After determining the discharge gap, taper and recast layer thickness, a segmented tool is designed, which can use the lower part to perform micro-EDM with the taper of 1.04°, MRR is 0.069 mm3/min, and the TWR is 3.22%. Then only needs to continue feeding the tool, the upper part of the tool can be used to achieve reaming, which can fully remove the recast layer, and decreases the roughness of hole wall from Ra 1.452 μm to Ra 0.803 μm.

RBPJ contributes to acquired docetaxel resistance in prostate cancer cells

        Li Xue,Zhenlong Wang,Hecheng Li,Zhaolun Li,Qi Chen,Peng Zhang,Haiwen Chen,Ziming Wang,Tie Chong,T. Chong 대한독성 유전단백체 학회 2017 Molecular & cellular toxicology Vol.13 No.3

Our previous work has shown that depletion of recombination signal-binding protein J (RBPJ) results in reduced cell growth in prostate cancer cells. In this study, we aimed to investigate the function of RBPJ in the chemoresistance of prostate cancer. The expression of RBPJ was quantified in docetaxel-resistant and parental prostate cancer cells. Loss- and gainof- function experiments were conducted to explore the regulatory role of RBPJ in prostate cancer sensitivity to docetaxel. The pro-apoptotic effect of RBPJ silencing was checked in docetaxel-resistant prostate cancer cells. We found that docetaxel-resistant PC3-DR and DU145- DR cells expressed 3-5-fold high levels of RBPJ than parental PC3 and DU145 cells. Short hairpin RNAmediated knockdown of RBPJ inhibited cell proliferation and colony formation and reversed docetaxel resistance in docetaxel-resistant prostate cancer cells. In contrast, overexpression of RBPJ promoted cell growth, colony formation, and docetaxel resistance in parental prostate cancer cells. Downregulation of RBPJ induced apoptosis in docetaxel-resistant cells, which was accompanied by enhanced cleavage of caspase-3. In addition, RBPJ silencing or overexpression markedly modulated the expression of the Bcl-2 family members including Bcl-2, Bcl-xL, Mcl-1, Bax, and Bak. Altogether, RBPJ contributes to acquisition of docetaxel resistance in prostate cancer cells and may thus represent a potential target for overcoming chemotherapeutic resistance in this malignancy.

ANNs on Co-occurrence Matrices for Mobile Malware Detection

( Xi Xiao ),( Zhenlong Wang ),( Qi Li ),( Qing Li ),( Yong Jiang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2015 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.9 No.7

Android dominates the mobile operating system market, which stimulates the rapid spread of mobile malware. It is quite challenging to detect mobile malware. System call sequence analysis is widely used to identify malware. However, the malware detection accuracy of existing approaches is not satisfactory since they do not consider correlation of system calls in the sequence. In this paper, we propose a new scheme called Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) on Co-occurrence Matrices Droid (ANNCMDroid), using co-occurrence matrices to mine correlation of system calls. Our key observation is that correlation of system calls is significantly different between malware and benign software, which can be accurately expressed by co-occurrence matrices, and ANNs can effectively identify anomaly in the co-occurrence matrices. Thus at first we calculate co-occurrence matrices from the system call sequences and then convert them into vectors. Finally, these vectors are fed into ANN to detect malware. We demonstrate the effectiveness of ANNCMDroid by real experiments. Experimental results show that only 4 applications among 594 evaluated benign applications are falsely detected as malware, and only 18 applications among 614 evaluated malicious applications are not detected. As a result, ANNCMDroid achieved an F-Score of 0.981878, which is much higher than other methods.

      • CFD Simulation of Effect of Vortex Ring for Squid Jet Propulsion And Expeiments on a Bionic Jet Propulsor

        Li Jian,Zhao Jianing,Wang Zhenlong 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of u- and e- Service, Scienc Vol.9 No.5

Using jet propulsion, squid can swim at high speed or at low speed with good maneuverability, which makes them quiet valuable to be studied for biomimetic purposes. Vortex rings usually occur in the highly-unsteady jet flow in squid, and they play quite important roles in the jet propulsion of squid. This paper tries to investigate the squid jet structure by computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis. A simplified squid body model was established. The mantle motion during jet locomotion was explicitly included into the simulations by using a deforming mesh. By solving the 2D-axisymmetric, incompressible, laminar, unsteady Navier.Stokes equations, different vortex evolution behaviors were observed depending on different mantle contraction velocities and nozzle diameters. An important parameter, the formation number of the vortex rings, L/D, which decide the propulsive efficiency of jet propulsion directly, was also discussed in this paper. The numerical results show that adult squid propel themselves by long jet flows with a large formation number, L/D. The results also prove that smaller squid have larger relative funnel diameter. Interaction of vortex rings was simulated in two jet process, which might interpret squid increase their contraction frequencies with elevated swimming speed. To validate the force generated in the simulation, a bionc squid mantel jet propulsor is investigated and tested.

Experimental study and prediction model of the cleaning effect induced by self-resonating cavitating waterjet

        Yunan Yao,Hua Wang,Zhenlong Fang,Deng Li,Bin Wang 대한기계학회 2022 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.36 No.10

Self-resonating cavitation waterjet (SRCW) has rapidly developed and been widely used in cleaning fields due to its non-thermal and environmentally friendly machining. However, its fuzzy relationship between cleaning effect and working parameters is a significant limit to cleaning quality improving and extensive application of SRCW. Addressing this issue, an evaluation method of cleaning effect induced by SRCW was proposed in this paper, which includes two evaluation parameters, cleaning rate (R c , mm 2 /s) and primer damage rate (R d ). Using this method, experiments on the effects of four working parameters (pressure, traverse rate, standoff distance and impact angle) on the cleaning effect were carried out, and the results showed that R c and R d is proportional to pressure, with the decrease of attacking angle or the increase of traverse rate and standoff distance, R d always decreases while R c increases first and then decreases. A prediction model of SRCW cleaning effect considering pressure, traverse rate, standoff distance and impact angle was established with the use of GA-BP neural network. The prediction results indicate that the model has better adaptive ability and high prediction accuracy of over 95 %. And according to the prediction and different optimization objectives, the working parameters of SRCW were obtained. The study provided a new method to evaluate the cleaning effect of SRCW, and the working parameters were predicted and optimized by reliably modeling, which is of great significance to guide the practical application of SRCW.

Isolation and Characterization of Cold- Adapted PGPB and Their Effect on Plant Growth Promotion

( Mingyuan Li ),( Jilian Wang ),( Tuo Yao ),( Zhenlong Wang ),( Huirong Zhang ),( Changning Li ) 한국미생물 · 생명공학회 2021 Journal of microbiology and biotechnology Vol.31 No.9

Cold-adapted plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) with multiple functions are an important resource for microbial fertilizers with low-temperature application. In this study, culturable coldadapted PGPB strains with nitrogen fixation and phosphorus solubilization abilities were isolated. They were screened from root and rhizosphere of four dominant grass species in nondegraded alpine grasslands of the Qilian Mountains, China. Their other growth-promoting characteristics, including secretion of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), production of siderophores and ACC deaminase, and antifungal activity, were further studied by qualitative and quantitative methods. In addition, whether the PGPB strains could still exert plant growth-promoting activity at 4°C was verified. The results showed that 67 isolates could maintain one or more growth-promoting traits at 4°C, and these isolates were defined as cold-adapted PGPB. They were divided into 8 genera by 16S rRNA gene sequencing and phylogenetic analysis, of which Pseudomonas (64.2%) and Serratia (13.4%) were the common dominant genera, and a few specific genera varied among the plant species. A test-tube culture showed that inoculation of Elymus nutans seedlings with cold-adapted PGPB possessing different functional characteristics had a significant growth-promoting effect under controlled low-temperature conditions, including the development of the roots and aboveground parts. Pearson correlation analysis revealed that different growth-promoting characteristics made different contributions to the development of the roots and aboveground parts. These cold-adapted PGPB can be used as excellent strain resources suitable for the near-natural restoration of degraded alpine grasslands or agriculture stock production in cold areas.

An experimental investigation on the pressure characteristics of high speed self-resonating pulsed waterjets influenced by feeding pipe diameter

        Deng Li,Yong Kang,Xiaolong Ding,Xiao-Chuan Wang,Zhenlong Fang 대한기계학회 2016 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.30 No.11

The destructive power of a continuous waterjet issuing from a nozzle can be greatly enhanced by generating self-resonance in the nozzle assembly to produce a Self-resonating pulsed waterjet (SRPW). To further improve the performance of SRPW, effects of feeding pipe diameter on the pressure characteristics were experimentally investigated by measuring and analyzing the axial pressure oscillation peaks and amplitudes. Four organ-pipe nozzles of different chamber lengths and three feeding pipes of different diameters were employed. Results show that feeding pipe diameter cannot change the feature of SRPW of having an optimum standoff distance, but it slightly changes the oscillating frequency of the jet. It is also found that feeding pipe diameter significantly affects the magnitudes of pressure oscillation peak and amplitude, largely depending on the pump pressure and standoff distance. The enhancement or attenuation of the pressure oscillation peak and amplitude can be differently affected by the same feeding pipe diameter.

Genistein activates endothelial nitric oxide synthase in broiler pulmonary arterial endothelial cells by an Akt-dependent mechanism

        Yang, Ying,Nie, Wei,Yuan, Jianmin,Zhang, Bingkun,Wang, Zhong,Wu, Zhenlong,Guo, Yuming Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Bion 2010 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.42 No.11

Deregulation of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) plays an important role in the development of multiple cardiovascular diseases. Our recent study demonstrated that genistein supplementation attenuates pulmonary arterial hypertension in broilers by restoration of endothelial function. In this study, we investigated the molecular mechanism by using broiler pulmonary arterial endothelial cells (PAECs). Our results showed that genistein stimulated a rapid phosphorylation of eNOS at $Ser^{1179}$ which was associated with activation of eNOS/NO axis. Further study indicated that the activation of eNOS was not mediated through estrogen receptors or tyrosine kinase inhibition, but via a phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/Akt-dependent signaling pathway, as the eNOS activity and related NO release were largely abolished by pharmacological inhibitors of PI3K or Akt. Thus, our findings revealed a critical function of Akt in mediating genistein-stimulated eNOS activity in PAECs, partially accounting for the beneficial effects of genistein on the development of cardiovascular diseases observed in animal models.
