      • Analysis of the Threats abusing IPv6 Fragment Header

        The security issues related to IPv6 protocol have been focused on by many researchers and engineers. Especially, extension headers of IPv6 protocol provide various functionalities such as IP security, mobile IP, and in principle, it is said to give much more effective network services than the previous protocol, IPv4. In this paper, the cases are surveyed in which fragment header, that is one of many extension headers in IPv6 protocol, is abusedand made to be the sources of threats. Prevention mechanisms are also surveyed to countermeasure the threats.

        Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Heterocyclic Ring-substituted Chalcone Derivatives as Novel Inhibitors of Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase 1B

        Protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) is a key factor in negative regulation of the insulin pathway, and is a promising target for the treatment of type-II diabetes, obesity and cancer. Herein, compound (4) was first observed to have moderate inhibitory activity against PTP1B with an IC50 value of 13.72 ± 1.53 μM. To obtain more potent PTP1B inhibitors, we synthesized a series of chalcone derivatives using compound (4) as the lead compound. Compound 4l (IC50 = 3.12 ± 0.18 μM) was 4.4-fold more potent than the lead compound 4 (IC50 = 13.72 ± 1.53 μM), and more potent than the positive control, ursolic acid (IC50 = 3.40 ± 0.21 μM). These results may help to provide suitable drug-like lead compounds for the design of inhibitors of PTP1B as well as other PTPs.

        High sensitivity thermometry and optical heating Bi-function of Yb3+/Tm3+ Co-doped BaGd2ZnO5 phosphors

        Yb3þ/Tm3þ co-doped BaGd2ZnO5 phosphors have been effectively synthesized by traditional sol-gel method. The graph of X-ray diffraction (XRD) exhibited that the obtained phosphors were pure orthorhombic phase. The morphology and composition of the samples were obtained by field emissionscanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) and the energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS). From upconversion luminance (UCL) emission spectra, the two strong blue emissions were obviously observed at 478 and 485 nm under the excitation of 980 nm. The possible energy diagram and UC mechanism were explained in detail. Optical temperature (T) sensing performances were evaluated in the temperature ranging 313 K - 573 K. And the highest sensor sensitivity calculated was 0.0055 K『1 at 323 K. Additionally, the laser excitation heating effect was also explored. The results indicated that Yb3þ/Tm3þ codoped BaGd2ZnO5 phosphors could be applied on optical temperature sensors and optical heater.

        Effects of osmolytes on the refolding of recombinant <i>Pelodiscus sinensis</i> brain-type creatine kinase

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The protective effects of osmolytes on the renaturation of <I>Pelodiscus sinensis</I> brain-type creatine kinase (P-CKB) were determined in this study. The P-CKB gene was cloned and was heterologously expressed in <I>Escherichia coli</I> BL21 (DE3). The purified recombinant protein was subjected to 6 M urea denaturation and further applied with six different osmolytes (glycine, proline, sorbitol, DMSO, betaine, and trehalose). Our results demonstrated that the addition of glycine or DMSO could contribute toward the reactivation of unfolded P-CKB and prevent aggregation. Interestingly, 25 mM glycine was found to be the best concentration to reactivate denatured P-CKB, while high-concentration glycine led to the opposite effect as monitored by a red shift in the intrinsic fluorescence spectra and the aggregation of protein, which probably could be attributed to an additional inactive protein complex that formed during the fast refolding reaction. Docking simulation results showed the osmolyte docking energies to be relatively low and clustering groups were spread on the surface of P-CKB, indicating that osmolytes directly protected the surface of P-CKB.         Excellent anti-fouling performance of PVDF polymeric membrane modified by enhanced CaA gel-layer

        Calcium alginate gel-layer polymeric membranes with excellent anti-fouling ability were developed viadip-coating method through sodium alginate and calcium chloride to form gel-layers onto differentpolyvinylidenefluoride membranes. SEM, FT-IR, DCA and mechanical properties were operated forcharacterization. Comprehensive investigation of anti-fouling ability including PWF, FRR%, long-termperformances with fouling resistances were conducted. Results showed a significant improvement aftercross-linking, in which recovery rate reached to 99.2% and kept steady while contact angle decreasedremarkably. Enhanced gel-layer with MWCNTs-COOH was also developed and applied in the commercialPVDF MF membrane and applied in fresh milk emulsion concentration.

        Comparison of Face Width and Frame Design between Korean and Chinese Spectacle Wearers

        목적 : 본 연구는 한국과 중국 성인 남녀의 안면 크기와 동공 간 거리를 조사하고, 현재 착용하고 있는 안경테의 크기 및 디자인 형상에 대해 비교를 하고자 하였다. 방법 : 경북 경산에 위치한 안경원을 방문한 20~30대 성인 남녀 각각 100명, 중국 지린성에 위치한 안경원을 방문한 20~30대 성인 남녀 각각 100명, 총 400명에 자료를 전향적 방법으로 수집하였다. 대상자들의 안면 크기 는 모바일 애플리케이션(Eye measure 1.21, Dotty Digital 2018, USA)을 이용하여 측정하였으며, 동공 간 거 리는 수동식 동공 간 거리계(PD-5, TOPCON, Japan)를 이용하여 원용과 근용 각각의 동공간 거리를 측정하였 다. 착용하고 있는 안경테에 대한 크기는 boxing system에 준하여 측정하였고, 안경테의 종류는 모양(원형, 타원 형, 직사각형), 림의 형태(온테, 반무테, 무테), 재질(플라스틱, 금속, 콤비)로 구분하여 분류하였다. 결과 : 안면 크기 측정범위는 149.73±6.28 mm(중국 여성)~152.29±14.71 mm(한국 남성)이었으나, 그룹 간 통계적 유의성은 없었다(p=0.147). 원용 및 근용 동공 간 거리 측정에서는 모두 그룹 간 통계적 유의성이 있었 다(p<0.001). 안경테의 크기 측정인 렌즈 삽입부의 크기(eye size), 연결부의 길이(bridge size) 그리고 수직 길이 (vertical height)에서 모두 그룹 간 통계적 유의성이 있었다(p<0.001). 한국과 중국의 남녀 대상자들의 착용 중 인 안경테에서 콤비 재질을 제외하고(p=0.790), 모든 항목에서 통계적 유의성이 있었다. 결론 : 본 연구는 한국과 중국 성인 남녀 간의 안면 크기는 차이는 없었지만, 동공 간 거리는 차이가 있었다. 착용 중인 안경테의 크기는 한국과 중국 착용자 간의 차이가 뚜렷하게 나타났으며, 한국 성인은 상대적으로 원형 테를 많이 착용하고 있지만, 중국은 직사각형의 안경테를 더 많이 착용하고 있었다. 따라서 나라 간 선호도가 다 름을 이해하고, 기호에 맞는 제품을 추천할 수 있어야 하고, 수출을 위한 안경 디자인을 할 때 안면의 형상 및 현 지인의 기호를 고려해야 할 것이다. Purpose : This study aimed to compare the face width and pupillary distance between Korean and Chinese adults and to compare the frame size and design shape of the currently worn spectacle frame. Methods : Data were collected in a prospective manner for 100 adult men and women in their 20s and 30s, and 100 adult men and women in their 20s and 30s, respectively, who visited the Optometry office in Jilin Province China, Gyeongsan Korea. The face width was measured using a mobile application and PD meter was used to for far and near PD. The frame size was measured according to the Boxing system, and the frames design was e classified into shapes (round, oval, rectangle), rim shapes (full rim, half rim, no rim) and materials (plastic, metal, and combinations). For the analysis, one-way ANOVA for comparison among groups, Chi-Square analysis for frequency, Z-test for ration difference. Results : Range of face width was 149.73±6.28 (Chinese woman) ~ 152.29±14.71 <단위 앞 mm (Korean male), but there was no statistical significance between groups (p=0.147). There was statistical significance between groups in both far and near PD (p<0.001). There were statistical significance between groups for all of frame measurement (eye size, bridge size, vertical height) (p<0.001). There was statistical significance in all frame design except for the combination material (p=0.790). Conclusion : This study showed that there was no face width difference between Korean and Chinese adult, but there was a difference in PD measurement. Frame size from Korean and Chinese wearers were clearly different showing that more Korean worn round shape of frame while rectangle shape was preferred by Chinese. Therefore when Chinese customer visit optometric practice in Korea, practitioner should be able to understand the different preference of frame design. When designing frame for overseas market, it will be necessary to consider face shape and local preference.

      • Adaptation of murine anaplastic thyroid cancer cell line from hybrid to inbred C57BL/6 mice

        Background: Immuno-competent mouse model is indispensable for the study of tumor immune microenvironment. TBP-3743 cell line is derived from anaplastic thyroid cancer arising in immune-competent B6129SF1 mouse with thyroid-specific BrafV600E/WT and deletion of Trp53. Aim of this study is to adapt TBP-3743 cell line to C57BL/6 stain, widely used mouse strain which has same MHC haplotype with that of B6129SF1. Methods: TBP-3743 cell line was subcutaneously injected into C57BL/6 mice. The mouse with the rapidest tumor growth was sacrificed for primary culture and the cultured cells were injected into naive C57BL/6 mice. This serial of processes, called adaptation, has been performed three times. The concentration-dependent growth analysis is performed by comparing the tumor growth of 1x107-injected and 5x106-injected group. Furthermore, Original TBP-3743 cells and adapted TBP-3743 cells were treated with BRAFV600E inhibitor(PLX-4032, 1uM) in vitro and cell proliferation was measured by luminometric detection. For Immunotherapy, mice were treated 10mg/kg of PLX-4032 on daily basis, 15mg/kg of anti-CD47 every other day, 10mg/kg of anti-PD-L1 every other day Results: In the course of adaptation, the lag phage of tumor growth shortened and tumor growth rate had dramatically increased. In vitro growth of Both TBP-3743 and adapted TBP-3743(TBP-3743B6) were effectively BRAFV600E-selective inhibitor (PLX-4032). In vivo treatment of PLX-4032 with anti-CD47 and/or anti-PD-L1 reduced tumor volume in mice injected with TBP-3743B6 and prolonged their survival compared to control Conclusions: We established a novel immunocompetent murine anaplastic thyroid cancer model available in C57BL/6 inbred mice. TBP-3743B6 grows rapidly and stably in immunocompetent C57BL/6 mice. This mouse model can save unnecessary time, cost and labor for the research of tumor immune microenvironment. Also, this newly established cell line will be a useful resource to expand the feasibility of basic research as well as drug screening for potential therapeutic effects on anaplastic thyroid cancer.

        Novel Lanthanide Coordination Polymers Prepared by Microwave Heating: [Ln(L)3(H2O)2](H2O)3 (Ln = Eu, Tb, Gd; L = trans-(3-py)–CH=CH–COO)

        Three isostructural lanthanide coordination polymers, [Ln(L)3(H2O)2](H2O)3 {Ln = Eu (1), Tb (2), Gd (3); L = trans-3-(3-pyridyl)acrylate, (3-py)–CH=CH–COO}, were prepared from HL, lanthanide nitrate, and NaOH in H2O by microwave heating. In all coordination polymers, the metal is bonded to eight oxygen atoms, and all pyridyl nitrogen atoms do not coordinate to the metals. All polymers have a 1-D loop-connected chain structure. The hydrogen atoms in the aqua ligands and lattice water molecules all participate in the hydrogen bonds of the O–H···O or O–H···N type. The hydrogen bonds connect the 1-D chains to create a 2-D network. Polymer 1 exhibited red luminescence in the solid state at room temperature.

        Phosphoric Acid Modified Nb2O5: A Selective and Reusable Catalyst for Dehydration of Sorbitol to Isosorbide

        Niobium oxide (Nb2O5) and phosphated Nb2O5 were synthesized and used as catalysts for sorbitol dehydration to isosorbide. The characterization results of N2 adsorption, XRD and NH3-TPD revealed that the phosphoric acid modification could well prevent the crystallization of Nb2O5. And the amorphous phosphated Nb2O5 catalysts kept the relatively large surface area and stable acidity at high calcination temperature. The catalytic results showed that the selectivity to isosorbide could be dramatically enhanced over phosphated Nb2O5. The excellent catalytic performance with 100.0% sorbitol conversion and 62.5% isosorbide selectivity were obtained over the .8P/NBO-400 catalyst. Comparing with Nb2O5 catalysts, phosphated Nb2O5 catalysts regenerated through a simple calcination process showed no significant activity loss after recycling three runs.
