        Cultural Connotation and Developmental Status of Chinese Boccaro Tea Set

        Boccaro Teapot is one of the main carriers of tea culture in China. This paper introduces the material and its applied characteristics, modelling, development history, appreciation, and cultural connotation of boccaro tea sets.This article mainly introduced some classical works of Chinese boccaro artists. The production characteristics, display form and artistic connotation are recommended. Chinese boccaro teapots are both practical tea sets and works of art, they fully conveys the culture connotation of tea culture. The author thinks the main connotation of tea culture is to respect and tolerate, hopes people’s the positive attitude and wishes to create a harmonious happy life together. Since the advent of boccaro teapots, they are popular all over the world, especially loved and collected by people from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan and Southeast Asian countries

        Effect of Codonopsis pilosula polysaccharide on the quality of sheep semen preservation at 4℃

        Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of Codonopsis pilosula polysaccharide (CPP) on the motility, mitochondrial integrity, acrosome integrity rate, and antioxidant ability of sheep sperm after preservation at 4℃. Methods: Semen from healthy adult rams were collected and divided into four groups with separate addition of 0, 200, 400, and 1,000 mg/L CPP. Sperm motility was analyzed using the Computer-Assisted Semen Analysis software after preservation at 4℃ for 24, 72, 120, and 168 h. Sperm acrosome integrity rate was analyzed by Giemsa staining at 24, 72, and 120 h, and mitochondrial membrane integrity was analyzed by Mito-Tracker Red CMXRos. The total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC) and malondialdehyde (MDA) content of spermatozoa were measured after 120 h of preservation. Results: The sperm viability and forward-moving sperm under 200 mg/L CPP were significantly higher than that in the control group at 72 h (61.28%±3.89% vs 52.83%±0.70%, 51.53%±4.06% vs 42.84%±1.14%), and 168 h (47.21%±0.85% vs 41.43%±0.37%, 38.68%±0.87% vs 31.68%±0.89%). The percentage of fast-moving sperm (15.03%±1.10% vs 11.39%±1.03%) and slow-moving sperm (23.63%±0.76% vs 20.29%±1.11%) in the 200 mg/L group was significantly higher than control group at 168 h. The mitochondrial membrane integrity of the sperm in the group with 200 mg/L CPP was significantly higher than those in the control group after storage at 4℃ for 120 h (74.76%±2.54% vs 65.67%±4.51%, p<0.05). The acrosome integrity rate in the group with 200 mg/L (87.66%±1.26%) and 400 mg/L (84.00%±2.95%) was significantly higher than those in the control group (80.65%±0.16%) after storage for 24 h (p<0.05). CPP also increased T-AOC and decreased the MDA concentration after preservation at 4℃ (p<0.05). Conclusion: Adding CPP could improve the T-AOC of sperm, inhibit lipid peroxidation, and facilitate semen preservation.

        Analysis and Optimization of an Internal Feedback Hydrostatic Turntable Oil Pad Power Consumption Based on Finite Difference Method

        The hydrostatic turntable is a critical component of numerous CNC machine tools, as it performs a supporting function and enables precise rotary motion. To ensure that high-precision CNC machines can operate under heavy loads, it is imperative to minimize power consumption. The power consumption of a hydrostatic turntable is affected by various factors, such as oil viscosity, initial oil film thickness, and oil pad structure. This study focuses on investigating a hydrostatic turntable with internal feedback. The Reynolds equation of the sector oil pad is solved using the finite difference method to establish the pressure distribution model. Subsequently, the study examines the power consumed by the axial oil pad at different initial oil film thickness, lubricating oil viscosity, and sealing edge width. To minimize power consumption caused by the axial oil pad, this paper employs the genetic algorithm to identify optimal design parameters within specified constraints. Additionally, the load-bearing performance of the optimized axial oil pad is checked to ensure that the load-bearing capacity and stiffness meet the requirements. Finally, the use of simulation software for oil pads in finite element simulation can preliminarily demonstrate the reliability of the proposed method.

        FIV response analysis of cylinder with hollow section placed in tandem at the rear of upstream cylinder by numerical simulation

        The flow-induced vibration of a circular cylinder with a hollow section that is mounted at the rear is investigated in this work via numerical simulation. The Reynolds number was limited in the range of 6918-1511 by using reduced velocity that corresponds to Ur = 2-12. Five typical center-to-center distance ratios L/D of 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 and three hollow section positions of left bias, up bias, and middle of cylinder were selected. The displacement time history curve and short-time Fourier transform diagram show that when L/D = 3 and Ur = 3, the cylinder with the hollow position in the middle initially entered the main frequency vibration for 5.64 s, but when L/D = 4 and Ur = 6, the drag coefficient time history curve of the cylinder biased to the left and up at the hollow position demonstrated a "beating" phenomenon, and multiple frequency peaks appeared on the fast Fourier transform diagram.

        Hypoglycemic effect of Gynostemma pentaphyllum saponins by enhancing the Nrf2 signaling pathway in STZ-inducing diabetic rats

        Gynostemma pentaphyllum (GP) is a natural plant resources for diabetes therapy, however, there is little research on the mechanisms of GP. The present study was undertaken to characterize if G. pentaphyllum saponins (GPs) is the principal active compound of GP responsible for anti-diabetes, and to examine the relativity between blood glucose modulate and antioxidation. The GPs-treated streptozotocin diabetic rats had a more effective hypoglycemic status than those of diabetic control rats, which also ameliorate dyslipidemia. GPs has increased SOD and GSH-px activities, and the spleen and thymus indexes in diabetic rats. The insulin levels in the GPs-treated groups were significantly higher than diabetic control group. Our finding provides a new insight into the application of GPs for the treatment of oxidative stress related diseases.

        Oxygen vacancies assisted LaFeO3 derived from metal organic frameworks endows a practical HCHO sensor with excellent sensing characteristics

        Perovskite oxide semiconductors have attracted tremendous interest in gas sensing due to their promisingproperties of tunable active sites, excellent catalytic ability and good structural stability. Nevertheless, the rapid synthesis of perovskite oxides and controlled regulation of their surface oxygenvacancies remains a great challenge. Herein, we report a novel metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) selftemplatestrategy for the rapid and large-scale preparation of LaFeO3 nanoparticles (MLaFeO3) withabundant oxygen vacancies. Benefit from the introduction of oxygen vacancies, the resultantMLaFeO3 gas sensor exhibit excellent formaldehyde (HCHO) sensing performance at a low operatingtemperature of 160 C, including high sensitivity (Rg/Ra = 8.9 @ 100 ppm), fast response/recovery rate(53 s/32 s), low detection limit (1 ppm) and excellent selectivity. Comprehensive density functional theory(DFT) calculation and spectral characterizations reveal that oxygen vacancies play a vital role in promotingthe adsorption and activation of O2 and HCHO molecules, and accelerate the chemical reaction onthe sensing materials surface. Most importantly, it proves the promising application of MLaFeO3 sensorin food safety assessment. This work not only provides a simple strategy for constructing oxygen vacanciesenriched LaFeO3, but also demonstrates the application potential of LaFeO3-based gas sensors in thefield of formaldehyde detection.

        Elemental mercury removal from syngas at high-temperature using activated char pyrolyzed from biomass and lignite

        Activated char obtained by the co-pyrolysis of a mixture of lignite and biomass impregnated with ZnCl2 solution was found to be effective for the high-temperature capture of mercury from syngas. The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Hg-thermal programmed desorption as well as Brunauer- Emmett-Teller analysis. The results show that activated char exhibits a large surface area as well as abundant micropores and C-Cl, C=O, and COOH functional groups. During the chemisorption of mercury, gaseous Hg0 is first oxidized by C-Cl to HgCl2; HgCl2 which acts as the intermediate product then reacts with the C=O and COOH functional groups on the surface of activated char to generate Hg-OM. At high adsorption temperatures, Hg-OM on the adsorbent surface can further decompose and generate HgO. The C-Cl group is important for the first oxidation step of gaseous Hg0, and the formation of HgCl2 is the rate-determining step for the entire process of adsorption.

        Expression Patterns of Circular RNAs from Primary Kinase Transcripts in the Mammary Glands of Lactating Rats

        Purpose: Circular RNAs (circRNAs), a novel class of RNAs, perform important functions in biological processes. However, the role of circRNAs in the mammary gland remains unknown. The present study is aimed at identifying and characterizing the circRNAs expressed in the mammary gland of lactating rats. Methods: Deep sequencing of RNase R-enriched rat lactating mammary gland samples was performed and circRNAs were predicted using a previously reported computational pipeline. Gene ontology terms of circRNA-producing genes were also analyzed. Results: A total of 6,824 and 4,523 circRNAs were identified from rat mammary glands at two different lactation stages. Numerous circRNAs were specifically expressed at different lactation stages, and only 1,314 circRNAs were detected at both lactation stages. The majority of the candidate circRNAs map to noncoding intronic and intergenic regions. The results demonstrate a circular preference or specificity of some genes. DAVID analysis revealed an enrichment of protein kinases and related proteins among the set of genes encoding circRNAs. Interestingly, four protein-coding genes (Rev3l, IGSF11, MAML2, and LPP) that also transcribe high levels of circRNAs have been reported to be involved in cancer. Conclusion: Our findings provide the basis for comparison between breast cancer profiles and for selecting representative circRNA candidates for future functional characterization in breast development and breast cancer.

        Madecassic acid protects human periodontal ligament fibroblasts against hydrogen peroxide-induced cell damage by maintaining mitochondrial membrane potential

        Background Oxidative stress is involved in the pathogenesis of various inflammatory diseases, such as periodontitis. When periodontitis occurs, reactive oxygen species (ROS) are overproduced and cannot be balanced by the antioxidant defense system, resulting in tissue damage. Madecassic acid (MA), an abundant triterpenoid in Centella asiatica (L.) Urban, has been used as a wound healing, antiinflammatory, and anticancer agent. Moreover, recent studies have shown that MA has an antioxidative effect, but the underlying mechanism remains unclear. Objective Here, we established an effective oxidative stress model induced by hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ) in human periodontal ligament fi broblasts (hPDLFs) to investigate the antioxidant and protective effects of MA against cell damage and its underlying mechanism of action. Results Pretreatment with MA inhibited cell apoptosis and promoted cell invasion and migration against oxidative injury induced by H 2 O 2 . In addition, MA was able to maintain mitochondrial membrane potential (ΔΨm) under oxidative stress. Notably, we found that MA restored redox balance by reducing intracellular ROS production. Furthermore, we investigated apoptosis-related proteins and found that the levels of anti-apoptosis markers Bcl-xL and Bcl-2 were remarkably upregulated, whereas that of the pro-apoptotic marker Bax was strikingly downregulated. Conclusions Collectively, these findings suggest that MA inhibits H 2 O 2 -induced oxidative stress and apoptosis of hPDLFs by reducing intracellular ROS production to maintain ΔΨm stability.
