        Modelling of Acoustic Waves Propagating in Nesting Fibonacci Super-Lattice Phononic Crystal

        Herein, we report construction of one kind of nesting-Fibonacci-super-lattice phononic crystal, in whichthe super-lattice cell is a well-defined Fibonacci generation sequence. We present a comparative study onband-gap structures of acoustic waves propagating in one-dimensional, nesting Fibonacci-periodic structureand simple-periodic structure. We find that there are more band gaps in nesting Fibonacci super-latticemodels, and that they present behavior different from the split-up of band gaps with different generationnumbers. With the increase of generation number, more band gaps split and occur. Additionally, whengeneration number becomes larger, Bragg scattering becomes more significant: the characteristic curvesbecome flatter and band gaps become wider. Furthermore, we study the effect of various parameters suchas density, thickness and defects on band-gap structures. Our work is significant both for understandingthe intrinsic physical properties of nesting Fibonacci sequences and for providing flexible choices to meetreal engineering requirements.

        Unconfined compressive strength of PET waste-mixed residual soils

        Plastic wastes, particularly polyethylene terephthalate (PET) generated from used bottled water constitute a worldwide environmental issue. Reusing the PET waste for geotechnical applications not only reduces environmental burdens of handling the waste, but also improves inherent engineering properties of soil. This paper investigated factors affecting shear strength improvement of PET-mixed residual soil. Four variables were considered: (i) plastic content; (ii) plastic slenderness ratio; (iii) plastic size; and (iv) soil particle size. A series of unconfined compression tests were performed to determine the optimum configurations for promoting the shear strength improvement. The results showed that the optimum slenderness ratio and PET content for shear strength improvement were 1:3 and 1.5%, respectively. Large PET pieces (i.e., $1.0cm^2$) were favorable for fine-grained residual soil, while small PET pieces (i.e., $0.5cm^2$) were favorable for coarse-grained residual soil. Higher shear strength improvement was obtained for PET-mixed coarse-grained residual soil (148%) than fine-grained residual soils (117%). The orientation of plastic pieces in soil and frictional resistance developed between soil particles and PET surface are two important factors affecting the shear strength performance of PET-mixed soil.

      • Bayesian Network Model for XML Document Ranking

        As more and more data is described, stored, exchanged and represented by XML, the abilities of information retrieval for XML document become increasingly important. However, the retrieval results to users are quite large. This paper gives a Bayesian network‐based model for ranking these large results. Each XML document is modeled through a Bayesian network, which can handle both structure and content for the document. And then this paper presents the inference for the probability of each document on the given query. Finally documents are ranked according to the probabilities in descent.

        Parametric Research on Underactuated Tendon-Driven Grasping Mechanism for Space Capture Operation

        Space objects always stay in rotation mode with various nutation according to their different inertia parameters during free flying. It is hard for designing a grasping mechanism to capture a rotating target with unknown velocity and unknown size. An under-actuated tendon-driven grasping mechanism is designed and researched in this paper, and which could handle the uncertainties during the capturing using its structural flexibility and strong adaption to space unknown rotating objects for taking the advantage of under-actuation. The under-actuated grasping mechanism consists of four fingers, and each finger has four joints, but driven by only one tendon and four pre-designed springs, which make it a typical under-actuated mechanism. The partial feedback linearization method is modified for the control with time varying constraints and the parametric design method is proposed to complete the tracking control of multiple joint angle using a single driven tendon, and which is validated by the simulation of the whole capturing procedure.

      • Research on Gateway Deployment Solving Model Applied in the Wireless Mesh Network

        In order to solve gateway deployment of geometry K center in the wireless network and improve the service quality of network, this paper proposes the gateway deployment solving model and algorithm. This paper transforms center problem of the geometric K into center problem of node K and solves problem. This paper proposes a gateway node alternative selection algorithm combination of network topology properties and maximum cover area related theory, and according to the relevant features select an alternative area, each alternative area abstract for a virtual node and is inserted into the original network topology structure, thus forming the new network topology. Solving new problem of the network topology and looking for the optimal deployment scheme use the improved genetic algorithm. The experimental results show that the model and algorithm proposed in this paper can well solve the wireless network gateway deployment problem of geometric K center and improve the network service quality.

        Investigation of defects in SiCp/A356 composites made by a stir casting method

        A stir casting method is one of the most competitive methods for fabricating SiC particle reinforced aluminum matrix composites because of its low cost with competitive quality. However, defects formed in the composites during the fabrication process will deteriorate their properties. Different kinds of defects such as black inclusions related to agglomerated SiC, silver spots related to Al-Fe-Si phases, white inclusions related to Al2O3 and porosity related to gas and SiC agglomeration are investigated in this paper. Based on these investigations, a technique for improving the quality of SiCp/A356 composites fabricated by a stir casting method is proposed. A SiCp/A356 composite with few defects and good properties was fabricated with the improved stir casting process.         A new ferulic acid ester, 1'-methyl-2'-hydroxyethyl ferulate (1), together with methylcaffeate (2), 4- hydroxy cinnamic acid (3), ferulic acid (4), caffeic acid (5), diosmetin (6), luteolin (7), 5,3',4'-trihydroxy- 3,7-dimethoxyflavone (8), eriodictyol (9), kaempferol (10), quercetin (11), acacetin-7-Oglcopyranoside (12), 4-(β-glucopyranosyloxy) benzoic acid (13), luteolin-7-O-(6''-feruloyl) glucopyranoside (14), luteolin-7-O-glucopyranoside (15), kaempferide-3-O-rhamnopyranoside (16), quercitrin (17), kaempferol-3-O-glucopyranoside (18), prunasin (19), quercetin-7-O-glucopyranoside (20), quercetin-3-O-glucopyranoside (21), plantaginin (22), linarin (23), luteolin-7-O-rutinoside (24), and chlorogenic acid (25) were isolated from the aerial parts of Dacocephalum peregrinum. The structure of 1 was elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic and HR-ESI-MS analyses. In addition, compound 1 exhibited mild inhibitory effect on NO production in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells.

        본 논문은 뉴미디어 시리즈 게임을 연구대상으로 하여 프로이드의 정신분석학과 매슬로우의 심리학을 주요 방법론으로 삼아 뉴미디어 시리즈게임의 심리적 기능을 논의하였다. 아울러 현대사회에서 후현대사회로의 변화에 따라, 또한 컴퓨터 기술의 발전과 갱신으로 뉴미디어 시리즈게임을 포함한 게임류가 매우 용이하게 심리적 기능에 영향을 준다는 것이다. 즉 억압, 해방, 팽창이다. 여기에는 후현대사회의 파편화와 욕망화의 특징이 있을 뿐만 아니라, 동시에 컴퓨터 기술의 갱신에 따른 더 나은 게임 체험을 할 수 있기 때문이다. 이 모든 것들은 게임 체험자의 심리적 기능에 영향을 주는 매우 중요한 요인이다. This paper considers new media serious games as the study object, and Freudian psychology and Maslow``s psychics theory as methodology. Research purpose of this paper is study psychological function for new media serious games, especially with the post-modern society is gradually into the modern society and updating of computer technology, the games which including new media serious games is extremely to cause depression, release and swelling. Fragmentation and desire are the feature of post-modern society, while also updating computer technology brings a powerful gaming experience features, these are important factors which formed the psychological function of gaming experiencer.
