Metallothioneins are ubiquitously-expressed metal-binding proteins. Despite their potential ecological relevance, no prior reports have identified any metallothioneins in Ostrinia furnacalis or other Lepidoptera species. A better understanding of the molecular characteristics and regulatory dynamics of metallothionein genes in O. furnacalis under heavy metal stress conditions would enable future studies of the roles played by these proteins in the context of heavy metal detoxification. Herein, we identified and characterized two metallothionein (OfMT) genes in O. furnacalis, including the 147 bp OfMT1 gene encoding a 48 amino acid protein containing 10 cysteine residues, and the 141 bp OfMT2 gene encoding a 46 amino acid protein containing 12 cysteine residues. The expression of OfMT2 was found to be related to Cu and Cd concentrations in a dose-dependent manner but was unaffected by Zn exposure. Overall, these results indicate that OfMT genes likely encode metal-binding proteins consistent with their potential role in the maintenance of heavy metal homeostasis.

Compared to conventional linear and circular segments, the parametric curve has advantages in approximating and machining, guaranteeing higher machining precision and better machining quality. Therefore, in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) systems, parametric toolpath has become more and more popular for its high-performance in practical machining and the performance of the parametric interpolator has become a standard to illustrate the advanced CNC systems. In this paper, adaptive-feedrate planning and the iterative interpolator have been developed to generate sampling points with respect to error and higher order kinematic constraints. Firstly, a jerk-limited feedrate profile and look-ahead algorithm are utilized to provide reachable feedrate at critical points. Afterwards, normal jerk (i.e. the jerk in a normal direction) are limited to improve machining precision and quality. In theory, it is proved that the normal jerk limitations have relationship with curvature derivative and a novel iterative interpolator is proposed to ensure the normal jerk limitation by considering the corresponding constraints at curvature derivative extreme points. Finally, simulation and experiments are conducted to demonstrate the efficiency and contour performance of the proposed method compared to conventional method and time-optimal method.

Tunnels excavated through weak rock masses using the Shallow Tunneling Method (STM) call for rigid lining support to withstand and constrain the mobility of the unstable rock where its performance needs to be assessed with field measured data in case of potential failure. For fear of any further hazards after the occurrence of a rock fall at chainage km 86,685 m in the Longsheng Tunnels, the monitoring plan was specially modified to accurately obtain the relative vertical and horizontal displacements of the steel rib component in the arch-shaped composite rigid primary lining that was simply placed on the heading. In this paper, the weak rock masses’ interaction with the rigid lining is treated as unknown distributed loads divided into radial and tangential directions, where the influence line theory is applied to better understand the response of the lining so as to facilitate a displacement-based back analysis for unknown rock mass loads and the resultant stress outcome. By comparing the back analyzed stress outcome with the measured one, the proposed performance assessing method for the unclosed arch-shaped lining was proven to be time efficient with acceptable accuracy, which is of considerable application potential and can provide a reference for similar engineering.

The europium sorption on Tamusu clay was investigated by batch sorption experiments and spectroscopic study under the condition of strong ionic strength. The results demonstrated that europium sorption on Tamusu clay increased rapidly with pH value, but decreased with the ionic strength of solution increased. The europium sorption also increased in the presence of humic acid, especially at low pH value. The sorption could be fitted by Freundlich isotherm model and the europium sorption on clay was spontaneous and endothermic reaction. Besides, the result indicates that ion exchange was the main process at low pH value, while inner-sphere surface complexation dominated the sorption process at high pH value. The Backscatter electron scanning/Energy Dispersive Spectrometer(BSE/EDS) and the effect of Na for europium sorption results further suggested that europium sorption on Tamusu clay mainly competed with Na at low pH value. Overall, the results in this research were of significance to understand the sorption behavior of europium on the geological media under high ionic strength.
Influence of JD Platform Return Reverse Logistics Service Quality on Customers' Repurchase Intention

Purpose: This research adopts the SERVQUAL and LSQ frameworks to examine the correlation between return reverse logistics service quality of the JD platform and customer satisfaction, as well as the linkage between consumer satisfaction and repurchase intention. Research design, data and methodology: A comprehensive literature review on both domestic and international logistics service quality has been conducted. Considering the unique aspects of JD's return reverse logistics services, an evaluation framework with 5 dimensions and 21 indicators is formulated, including communication, information, return process, empathy, and convenience. A conceptual model exploring the influence of JD's reverse logistics service quality on customer repurchase intention is developed, proposing six hypotheses. For this investigation, 358 valid questionnaires were collected, processed, and analyzed using SPSS 22.0. The structural equation modeling was conducted and validated through AMOS 21.0 software. Results: Following a thorough analysis of data, it reveals that: (1) Information quality, return process quality, and empathy significantly enhance customer satisfaction. (2) Customer satisfaction positively impacts repurchase intention. Conclusion:Based on these findings, three strategic recommendations are offered for e-commerce platforms with in-house logistics systems. The research also discusses limitations and future research directions.

The regeneration of Candida glycerinogenes protoplasts is a major step following genetic manipulations such as fusion and DNA-mediated transformation. An investigation of protoplast formation and cytological examination was used to gain further insight into the loss of protoplast viability in osmotically stabilized support media. Protoplasts with the highest regeneration frequency (98.6% protoplasts/mL) were isolated, using lysozyme dissolved in 1M sorbitol osmoticum. The commercial enzyme preparations, osmotic stabilisers, and growth phase were effective in raising the protoplast yield. Sodium chloride was effective for protoplast preparation; however, sugars and sugar alcohols were better for protoplast regeneration. Sorbitol at a concentration of 1 M was used in regeneration agar for further studies. Regeneration of colonies from protoplasts was maximal (11 ~ 15%) when protoplasts were incorporated in cooled agar containing 0.5% glucose, supplemented with 1M sorbitol as osmotic stabilizer. C. glycerinogenes strain was highly sensitive to zeocin, so transformation of protoplasts and PEG-mediated was achieved with an improved transformation system, using plasmid pURGAP-gfp containing zeocin gene driven by a PCgGAP promoter from C. glycerinogenes to express gfp gene and be transformed into the 5.8S rDNA site of C. glycerinogenes in order to test the system for studying the yeast osmoregulation. We developed an efficient method for transformation of C. glycerinogenes, and parameters involved in transformation efficiency were optimized. Expressions of gfp at different levels were conducted under osmotic stress containing NaCl, KCl, sorbitol or glycerol for the recombinant strains. These improved procedures for protoplast isolation, regeneration and transformation proved to be useful applications in genetic studies for other Candida species and industrial yeast.

In this paper, we will prove the second main theorem for holomorphic curves intersecting the moving hypersurfaces in subgeneral position with index on an angular domain. Our results are an extension of the previous second main theorems for holomorphic curves with moving targets on an angular domain.
