This study is a descriptive survey research to identify factors affecting the nursing intention of nursing college students who will nurse COVID-19 patients. This study was analyzed through convenience sampling for freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior attending the Department of Nursing at E University in Gyeonggi-do from May 17 to August 11, 2022. As a result, it was found that the intention to care for COVID-19 patients increased by 20% every time the knowledge score on COVID-19 increased by 1 point . If the average score for each item in the moral sensitivity question increased by 1 point, the nursing intention increased significantly by 5.21 times, and it was found that the nursing intention for COVID-19 patients increased significantly by 6.93 times each time the average score for each behavioral belief item increased by 1 point. Based on the results of this study, it was confirmed that the higher the knowledge, moral sensitivity, and behavioral beliefs of nursing students, the higher the intention to care for new infectious disease patients. Based on the results of this study, it was confirmed that It is necessary to develop and apply educational and psychological intervention programs and integrated nursing ethics programs.
Cell Death-Associated Ribosomal RNA Cleavage in Postmortem Tissues and Its Forensic Applications

Estimation of postmortem interval (PMI) is a key issue in the field of forensic pathology. With the availability of quantitative analysis of RNA levels in postmortem tissues, several studies have assessed the postmortem degradation of constitutively expressed RNA species to estimate PMI. However, conventional RNA quantification as well as biochemical and physiological changes employed thus far have limitations related to standardization or normalization. The present study focuses on an interesting feature of the subdomains of certain RNA species, in which they are site-specifically cleaved during apoptotic cell death. We found that the D8 divergent domain of ribosomal RNA (rRNA) bearing cell death-related cleavage sites was rapidly removed during postmortem RNA degradation. In contrast to the fragile domain, the 5' terminal region of 28S rRNA was remarkably stable during the postmortem period. Importantly, the differences in the degradation rates between the two domains in mammalian 28S rRNA were highly proportional to increasing PMI with a significant linear correlation observed in mice as well as human autopsy tissues. In conclusion, we demonstrate that comparison of the degradation rates between domains of a single RNA species provides quantitative information on postmortem degradation states, which can be applied for the estimation of PMI.

본 논문에서는 전륜 현가장치의 종류인 맥퍼슨 스트럿과 유사 맥퍼슨 스트럿의 실차 성능 비교에 관하여 서술하였다. 실차성능을 비교하기 위해 각각의 현가장치가 적용된 2대의 대상차량(Chevrolet Aveo – 맥퍼슨 스트럿, Renault社 Clio - 유사맥퍼슨)을 선정하여 진행하였으며, 동일한 조건의 Steering Input을 인가하기 위해 자동조향로봇 시스템을 적용하여 실차시험을 진행하였다. 실차시험 항목으로는 Handling 기준의 Slalom, J-Turn(Step Steer), DLC(Double Lane Change)와 Steering 기준의 On-Center Handling을 진행하였으며, 실차시험 결과 데이터를 이용하여 Handling 특성 및 Steering 특성을 분석하기 위해 스페인 IDIADA社에서 개발한 dynasoft를 이용하여 비교 분석을 진행하였다.
Disaster preparedness for earthquakes in hemodialysis units in Gyeongju and Pohang, South Korea

In 2016 and 2017, there were earthquakes greater than 5.0 in magnitude on the Korean Peninsula, which has previously been considered an earthquake-free zone. Patients with chronic kidney disease are particularly vulnerable to earthquakes, as the term “renal disaster” suggests. In the event of a major earthquake, patients on hemodialysis face the risk of losing maintenance dialysis due to infrastructure disruption. In this review, we share the experience of an earthquake in Pohang that posed a serious risk to patients on hemodialysis. We review the disaster response system in Japan and propose a disaster preparedness plan with respect to hemodialysis. Korean nephrologists and staff in dialysis facilities should be trained in emergency response to mitigate risk from natural disasters. Dialysis staff should be familiar with the action plan for natural disaster events that disrupt hemodialysis, such as outages and water treatment system failures caused by earthquakes. Patients on hemodialysis also need to be educated about disaster preparedness. In the event of a disaster situation that results in dialysis failure, patients need to know what to do. At the local and national government level, long-term preparations should be made to handle renal disaster and patient safety logistics. Moreover, Korean nephrologists should also be prepared to manage cardiovascular disease and diabetes in disaster situations. Further evaluation and management of social and national disaster preparedness of hemodialysis units to earthquakes in Korea are needed.

Objective Early detection and proper management of mental illness can help to prevent severe deterioration. However, with limited financial and human resources of community mental health services, it is not practical to carry out all conventional screening tools simultaneously. In this study, we aimed to develop and validate a brief but comprehensive screening questionnaire for four common mental illnesses of the elderly. Methods The brief screening for four mental illnesses of elderly (BS4MI-elderly) is a 14-item binary response questionnaire that covers dementia, depressive disorder, sleep disorder, and hwa-byung. To test validity, we compared conventional scale scores for three groups of participants classified using the BS4MI-elderly. The sensitivity, specificity, predictive value of positive test, likelihood ratio of positive test and internal consistency of the BS4MI-elderly were assessed. Finally, a correlation analysis between the BS4MI-elderly and general mental health scales was conducted. Results A total of 254 participants aged over 65 years were recruited. The BS4MI-elderly showed moderate to high sensitivity for the test that distinguishes the normal group from the risk and disorder groups (dementia: 0.61, depressive disorder: 0.88, sleep disorder: 0.85, hwa-byung: 0.94) and high specificity for the test that distinguishes the disorder group from the normal and risk groups (dementia: 0.91, depressive disorder: 0.93, hwa-byung: 0.84, sleep disorder: 0.84). The BS4MI-elderly also exhibited good internal consistency and significant correlations with general mental health scales. Conclusion The BS4MI-elderly, a brief but comprehensive screening tool, could be a useful instrument for screening the elderly in community mental health services.

In this paper, the contents and the results of the tests performed to analyze the influence of environmental factors on ADAS are shown. RTK GPS is installed on the subject vehicle and target vehicles to calculate the position, speed, and TTC between the two vehicles. Environmental factors include general road conditions, rain, high temperature, gravel night and fog conditions. In the test, CCRs and CCRm test conditions for the Car-to-Car FCW are defined and performed so that the ADAS function can focus on the environmental influence. The influence analysis target is the TTC and distance calculated from the RTK GPS when the FCW function is activated.
