A Context-aware Task Offloading Scheme in Collaborative Vehicular Edge Computing Systems

With the development of mobile edge computing (MEC), some late-model application technologies, such as self-driving, augmented reality (AR) and traffic perception, emerge as the times require. Nevertheless, the high-latency and low-reliability of the traditional cloud computing solutions are difficult to meet the requirement of growing smart cars (SCs) with computing-intensive applications. Hence, this paper studies an efficient offloading decision and resource allocation scheme in collaborative vehicular edge computing networks with multiple SCs and multiple MEC servers to reduce latency. To solve this problem with effect, we propose a context-aware offloading strategy based on differential evolution algorithm (DE) by considering vehicle mobility, roadside units (RSUs) coverage, vehicle priority. On this basis, an autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model is employed to predict idle computing resources according to the base station traffic in different periods. Simulation results demonstrate that the practical performance of the context-aware vehicular task offloading (CAVTO) optimization scheme could reduce the system delay significantly.
High-Speed Pseudo-CMOS Circuits Using Bulk Accumulation a-IGZO TFTs

<P>We propose a way to achieve high-speed circuits with dual-gate (DG) bulk-accumulation back-channeletched (BCE) amorphous indium-gallium-zinc-oxide (a-IGZO) thin-film transistors (TFTs) using the pseudo-CMOS structure. The DG BCE a-IGZO TFTs exhibit field-effect mobility (μ<SUB>FE</SUB>), threshold voltage (Vth), and subthreshold swing of 30 ± 3 cm<SUP>2</SUP>/Vs, 2 ± 0.5 V, and 120 ± 30 mV/decade, respectively. For input voltage (V<SUB>DD</SUB>) of 20 V, seven-stage pseudo-CMOS ring oscillators implemented with the BCE bulk-accumulation a-IGZO TFTs show oscillation frequency of 6.51 MHz, which corresponds to a propagation delay time of 11 ns/stage and is faster than the 17 ns/stage delay of the fastest single-gate-driven ratioed coplanar a-IGZO TFT circuits.</P>

[(CH3)2NH2][M3(BTC)(HCOO)4(H2O)].H2O (M–BTC, M = Mn, Ni, Co) were prepared under hydrothermal conditions and used as highly efficient catalysts for cycloaddition of CO2 with epichlorohydrin (ECH). The microstructure and physicochemical properties of the compounds were determined by PXRD, FT-IR, XPS, N2-adsorption, TG–DSC, NH3–TPD and CO2–TPD. 98.01% conversion of ECH and 96.05% selectivity to chloropropene carbonate was obtained over the Mn–BTC under the optimized reaction conditions (105 °C, 3.0 MPa, 9 h, 1.5 wt.% of ECH). Besides, the recyclability result exhibited the Mn–BTC compound can be utilized as least three times with a slight reduction in its catalytic ability. In addition, cycloaddition of CO2 with other epoxides and DFT calculation were also performed. The result exhibited the yield followed the order: ECH > 1, 2-epoxybutane > propene oxide > Allyl glycidyl ether, which was mainly determined by the energy of reaction.

<P>As clock signals are usually supplied by external rigid ICs, they may limit mechanical flexibility of devices fabricated on plastic. Reported in this letter is a full-swing clock generating circuit that is integrated on a plastic substrate. The clock signal is generated by a 13-stages ring oscillator (RO), which is implemented by n-type-only dual-gate amorphousindium-gallium-zinc-oxide thin-film transistors. By combining bootstrapping and pseudo-CMOS inverting, an output peak-peak voltage (Vp-p) that reaches the supply voltage (V-DD) and a high speed, reaching an output frequency of 360 kHz, are achieved. In addition, a phase modulating capacitor is implemented in the RO to increase the high voltage level holding time and the addition of a buffer in the circuit is also studied for the achievement of two antiphase outputs.</P>

HYERS-ULAM STABILITY OF DERIVATIONS IN FUZZY BANACH SPACE: REVISITED

Lu et al. [27] dened derivations on fuzzy Banach spaces and fuzzy Lie Banach spaces and proved the Hyers-Ulam stability of derivations on fuzzy Banach spaces and fuzzy Lie Banach spaces. It is easy to show that the denitions of derivations on fuzzy Banach spaces and fuzzy Lie Banach spaces are wrong and so the results of [27] are wrong. Moreover, there are a lot of seroius problems in the statements and the proofs of the results in Sections 2 and 3. In this paper, we correct the denitions of biderivations on fuzzy Banach algebras and fuzzy Lie Banach algebras and the statements of the results in [27], and prove the corrected theorems.

Purpose: This study aimed to develop a simple nomogram based on the Mayo Adhesive Probability (MAP) score combined with the RENAL nephrometry score (RNS) to predict intraoperative complications before partial nephrectomy (PN) in Asian populations. Materials and Methods: This study retrospectively collected patients undergoing PN at three medical centers. Each component of the MAP score and the RNS (6 variables) was evaluated to assess its association with intraoperative complications by multivariable logistic regression with backward elimination. Results: A total of 46 cases (7.2%) with intraoperative complications were identified among 637 patients. After backward elimination, three variables, including tumor diameter (4–7 cm vs. ≤4 cm: odds ratio [OR], 4.339; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.943–9,692; ≥7 cm vs. ≤4 cm: OR, 8.434; 95% CI, 1.225–58.090), nearness to the collecting system (4–7 mm vs. ≥7 mm: OR, 2.988; 95% CI, 1.293–6.907; ≤4 mm vs. ≥7 mm: OR, 21.394; 95% CI, 6.122–74.756), and perirenal fat stranding type (type 1 vs. no stranding: OR, 3.119; 95% CI, 1.079–9.017; type 2 vs. no stranding: OR, 18.722; 95% CI, 6.757–51.868), were retained. The predictive power (measured by area under the curve [AUC]) of the nomogram was observed to be superior to the RNS or MAP score alone (RNS: 0.686, MAP score: 0.729, the nomogram: 0.837), but comparable to their combination (0.813). Conclusions: The simple nomogram contains fewer components than the combination of the RNS and MAP scores yet demonstrates equivalent predictive power for intraoperative complications.

<P>This paper describes a new simultaneous emission AMOLED pixel circuit to achieve high brightness. Unlike the previous simultaneous emission scheme, the proposed one allows the programming operation to take place at the same time with the emission of OLEDs, which leads to high brightness. The proposed hybrid pixel circuit consists of programming and driving parts. The programming part compensates for the threshold voltage variation by means of a voltage programming scheme and the driving part is updated from the programming part through the internal current programming scheme. The SPICE simulation ensures that the proposed scheme dramatically reduces the average current error to 1.5% and 4.0% as to the threshold voltage variations of ±0.2 V and ±0.5 V, respectively. In addition, because approximately the whole frame time can be secured for the emission period, the output luminance loss is alleviated substantially compared with the previous method.</P>
