This study aimed to compare the pharmacokinetic (PK) and safety profiles of 2 fenofibric acid formulations under fasting and fed conditions. The reference was a 135 mg capsule, while the test was a 110 mg enteric-coated tablet. This randomized, open-label, two-sequence, two-period crossover phase 1 clinical trial was conducted in healthy Korean men. Sixty participants were enrolled in each of the fasting and feeding groups. Blood samples were collected 72 hours after drug administration. PK parameters were calculated using a noncompartmental method with Phoenix WinNonlin ® . A total of 53 and 51 participants from the fasting and feeding groups, respectively, completed the study. The geometric mean ratio and 90% confidence intervals of the maximum concentration (C max ) and area under the concentration-time curve to the last measurable plasma concentration were 0.9195 (0.8795–0.9614) and 0.8630 (0.8472–0.8791) in the fasting study and 1.0926 (1.0102–1.1818) and 0.9998 (0.9675–1.0332) in the fed study, respectively. The time to reach C max of the enteric-coated tablet compared to that of the capsule was extended by 1 and 3 hours under fasting and fed conditions, respectively. In conclusion, enteric-coated tablets have a higher bioavailability than capsules. In addition, the enteric-coated tablet was smaller than the capsule, making it easier for patients to swallow.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We introduce a reusable energy harvesting system that can recover discarded thermal energy by utilizing temperature variation of the environment. The system consists of two different phase change materials (PCMs); poly ethylene glycol (PEG) and 1-tetradecanol (1-TD), and a cell of N and P type semiconductor. Since a large amount of heat energy is absorbed during phase transition, PCMS are generally utilized to maintain isothermal temperature on the opposite sides of the N and P type semiconductor as long as possible. The resulting temperature difference between two sides of semiconductor induces an electric current during the heating and cooling process. It is important for the phase change material (PCM) to possess a good shape stability without significant loss of latent heat. A 3D porous graphene aerogel is selected for the pure phase change material to infiltrate into the aerogel and to increase the shape stability and thermal conductivity of the PCM composite. The thermal conductivity of PEG and 1-TD composites is significantly increased to 0.4268 W/m∙K, and 0.3408 W/m∙K, respectively. Thermal and electrical analyses are performed to predict the energy harvested by the device. The electrical energy is generated in the harvesting system due to the Seebeck effect. The maximum value of the electric current reaches 10 mA in both heating and cooling processes and an LED lamp was turned on successfully. Additionally, the energy harvesting system is modelled by using the finite element method (FEM) and the numerical prediction is in good agreement with the experimental results.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> The PCM composites sustain the solid state over the melting temperature. </LI> <LI> Thermal conductivity of the PCM composite is increased significantly. </LI> <LI> Both PCMs experience nearly isothermal conditions during the phase transition. </LI> <LI> Temperature difference between N P type surfaces generates the electrical current. </LI> <LI> Numerical simulation has similar results to the measured electric current. </LI> </UL> </P>

Metabolite profiles of seven commercial vinegars and two traditional vinegars were performed by gas chromatography time-of-flight mass spectrometry with multivariate statistical analysis. During alcohol fermentation, yeast, nuruk, and koji were used as sugars for nutrients and as fermentation substrates. Commercial and traditional vinegars were significantly separated in the principal component analysis and orthogonal partial least square discriminant analysis. Six sugars and sugar alcohols, three organic acids, and two other components were selected as different metabolites. Target analysis by ultra-performance liquid chromatography quadruple-time-of-flight mass spectrometry and liquid chromatographyion trap-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry were used to detect several metabolites having antioxidant activity, such as cyanidin-3-xylosylrutinoside, cyanidin-3-rutinoside, and quercetin, which were mainly detected in Rural Korean Black raspberry vinegar (RKB). These metabolites contributed to the highest antioxidant activity measured in RKB among the nine vinegars. This study revealed that MS-based metabolite profiling was useful in helping to understand the metabolite differences between commercial and traditional vinegars and to evaluate the association between active compounds of vinegar and antioxidant activity.

하이퍼 프리젠테이션은 기존의 순차적인 멀티미디어 연출에 하이퍼 미디어의 개념을 도입함으로써 비순차적인 연출을 지원하고 있다. 이러한 동기화 기법은 사용자로 하여금 보다 다양한 멀티미디어 연출을 가능하게 하지만 이러한 동기화 방법에 의해 혼합된 여러 프리젠테이션들간에 일관성 문제가 발생할 수 있다는 문제점을 갖는다. 따라서, 하이퍼 프리젠테이션 명시 프로그램을 Petri Net으로 모델링하여 주어진 하이퍼프리젠테이션의 연출가능성을 미리 판단하고자 한다.
유아의 기질과 어머니의 양육태도가 유아의 낙관성에 미치는 효과: 어머니의 부정적 정서표현을 매개로

본 연구의 목적은 유아의 기질, 어머니의 양육태도가 어머니의 부정적 정서표현을 매개로 유아의 낙관성에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 만 5세 유아와 그들의 어머니 170명을 대상으로 하였으며, 유아에게는 낙관성 검사를 어머니에게는 어머니 부정적 정서표현, 유아 기질, 어머니 양육태도에 대한 설문을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 경로분석과 Sobel 검증법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아의 기질인 적응성, 기분상태, 반응강도와 어머니의 온정/애정, 공격성/적대감, 구별되지 않는 양육태도는 어머니의 부정적인 정서표현에, 어머니의 온정/애정, 공격성/적대감, 구별되지 않는 양육태도는 유아의 낙관성 중 심리적 특질에, 어머니의 공격성/적대감, 구별되지 않는 양육태도와 부정적인 정서표현은 유아의 낙관성 중 생물적 특질에 직접적인 효과가 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 부정적 정서표현을 매개로 하여 유아의 기질인 적응성과 어머니의 공격성/적대감, 구별되지 않는 양육태도는 유아의 낙관성인 생물적인 특질에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과와 논의를 통해 유아의 낙관성을 고려할 때 어머니의 부정적 정서표현이 유아의 기질과 어머니의 양육태도를 매개하는 주요한 역할을 임을 시사한다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of mother``s negative emotional expression when looking at the effects of young children``s temperament and maternal parenting attitude effect on young children``s optimism. The subjects consisted of 170 five-year-old children and their mothers. For data collection, children took the optimism test, while their mothers completed questionnaires on the emotional expression, their child temperament, and maternal parenting attitude. Data were analyzed using path analysis and the Sobel test. The results of this study were as follows. First, adaptability, quality of mood and threshold of responsiveness of young children``s temperament and mother``s warmth/affection, aggressive/hostility, and undifferentiated of attitude directly affected the mother``s negative emotional expression, while the mother``s warmth/affection, aggressive/hostility, and undifferentiated of parenting attitude directly affected the psychological trait of young children``s optimism. The mother``s aggressive/hostility, undifferentiated parenting attitude, and negative emotional expression directly affected the biological trait of young children``s optimism. Second, the effects of adaptability of young children``s temperament, mother``s aggressive/hostility, and undifferentiated of maternal attitude on the biological trait of young children’s optimism were mediated by mother’s negative emotional expression. The results of this study indicate that on young children’s optimism both mother``s negative emotional expression mediate the effects of young children``s temperament and maternal parenting attitude.
고등학교 가정계열 선택과목 「식품안전과 건강」교육과정의 운영 효과

본 연구는 고등학생 대상 「식품안전과 건강」의 교육과정 운영 효과를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이에 충북, 경기, 대전, 세종지역의 6개 고등학교에서 「식품안전과 건강」교육과정의 일부가 시범 운영되었고, 수업에 참여한 학생으로부터 수집된 1,199부를분석하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 「식품안전과 건강」수업은 고등학생의 ‘식품안전과 건강’ 지식 총점 및 각 영역별 점수향상에 유의한 효과가 있었다. 사전검사에 비해 사후검사 정답률은 전체적으로 7.99%p 높였으며, 해당 영역을 상대적으로 많이교육한 학교의 향상 점수가 높게 나타났다. 또한 「식품안전과 건강」수업은 고등학생의 식생활 행동을 긍정적으로 변화시켰고, 여러 가지 음식을 골고루 먹는 식습관을 가지게 하는 데 유의한 효과가 있었다.「식품안전과 건강」수업에 참여했던 고등학생들은수업에 대하여 매우 긍정적으로(4.27/5) 평가하였으며, 수업 내용이 흥미롭고, 이해하기 쉬웠으며, 실제 식생활에 도움이 된다고답하였다. 개방형 질문에 대한 답을 분석한 결과, 수업에서 좋았던 점은 식품관련 지식 습득, 실생활에 도움이 되었다는 의견이많았으며, 아쉬운 점으로 코로나로 인하여 수업이 온라인으로 진행되어 실습이나 모둠 활동을 못한 점 등을 꼽았다. 본 연구는고교학점제에 대비하여 가정계열 선택과목 편성 확대 및 고등학생의 과목 선택권 확대에 의의가 있다. The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the curriculum implementation of 「Food Safety and Health」, a Home Economics elective course, for high school students. Accordingly, several units of the 「Food Safety and Health」curriculum were piloted in six high schools in Chungbuk, Gyeonggi, Daejeon, and Sejong, and 1,199 questionnaires collected from students who participated in the classes were analyzed. The results are as follows. The 「Food Safety and Health」class had a significant effect on improving the total score of ‘food safety and health’ knowledge of high school students and scores for sub-dimensional area. Compared to the pre-test, the overall rate of correct answers for the post-test has increased by 7.99%p, and schools that implemented the relevant unit class relatively more had higher improvement scores. In addition, the 「Food Safety and Health」class has positively changed the eating behavior of high school students, and had a significant effect on having a habit of eating a variety of foods evenly. High school students who participated in the 「Food Safety and Health」class evaluated their classes very positively (4.27 out of 5 points), and responded that the content of the class was interesting, easy to understand, and helpful for their diet in daily life. According to the responses to the open-ended questions, students responded that the class was helpful in acquiring food-related knowledge in their real lives, while there were so many limitations for experiencing lab class and group activities due to COVID 19. In preparation for the high school credit system, this study is meaningful that it has expanded the elective courses in home economics area, as well as the right to choose subjects for high school students.
