<P><B>Stützt ohne zu stören</B>: Das Aufbringen einer porösen SiO<SUB>2</SUB>‐Schicht auf Pt‐modifizierte TiO<SUB>2</SUB>‐Nanofasern ergibt einen sinterbeständigen Katalysator (siehe Bild). Die Pt‐Nanopartikel sinterten bei Temperaturen bis 750 °C an Luft nicht, weil die SiO<SUB>2</SUB>‐Schicht die Oberflächenwanderung physikalisch behindert; wegen der Porosität der Beschichtung behielt das System seine katalytische Aktivität aber bei.</P>

<P>Using a macroscopic ensemble of highly enriched (6,5) single-wall carbon nanotubes, combined with high signal-to-noise ratio and time-dependent differential transmission spectroscopy, we have generated vibrational modes in an ultrawide spectral range (10–3000 cm<SUP>–1</SUP>). A total of 14 modes were clearly resolved and identified, including fundamental modes of A, E<SUB>1</SUB>, and E<SUB>2</SUB> symmetries and their combinational modes involving two and three phonons. Through comparison with continuous wave Raman spectra as well as calculations based on an extended tight-binding model, we were able to identify all the observed peaks and determine the frequencies of the individual and combined modes. We provide a full summary of phonon frequencies for (6,5) nanotubes that can serve as a basic reference with which to refine our understanding of nanotube phonon spectra as well as a testbed for new theoretical models.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/nalefd/2014/nalefd.2014.14.issue-3/nl404536b/production/images/medium/nl-2013-04536b_0005.gif'></P>
Influenza Virus의 마우스 폐장 계대 통과가 체온하강에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

Through mouse lung passages (up to the 7th) of egg-adapted line of influenza virus type A PR 8 strain (A/PR/8/34 (H_0N_1)) in Balb/C mice at 3 days intervals, the developments of hypothermia, lung virus titers and lung lesions were followed. The results are summarized as follows: 1. There observed concomitant increases in the extents of both hypothermia and lung lesions as the levels of mouse lung passages of egg-line virus were increased. 2. It was confirmed that time of occurrence and degree of hypothermia in the mice inoculated with mouse-passaged virus was closely related to the extent of pulmonary lesions. 3. Though there occurred a little change in the virus titers of mouse lungs through serial passages, a significant increase was observed in LD_50 of mouse-passaged virus in comparison with egg-line virus.

<P>In this paper, a plastic organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) with high mobility formed on the polymeric gate dielectrics is presented. Flexible organic LEDs (OLEDs) operated by an OTFT are fabricated with a novel lamination method and the results are also presented. Fabrication method and the performances of white (consisting of R, G, and B) OLEDs with high efficiency, stability, and good color purity are discussed.</P>
