Genetic Diversity of Hard Ticks (Acari: Ixodidae) in the South and East Regions of Kazakhstan and Northwestern China

        Yicheng Yang,Jin Tong,Hongyin Ruan,Meihua Yang,Chunli Sang,Gang Liu,Wurelihazi Hazihan,Bin Xu,Sandor Hornok,Kadyken Rizabek,Kulmanova Gulzhan,Zhiqiang Liu,Yuanzhi Wang 대한기생충학열대의학회 2021 The Korean Journal of Parasitology Vol.59 No.1

To date, there is no report on the genetic diversity of ticks in these regions. A total of 370 representative ticks from the south and east regions of Kazakhstan (SERK) and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR) were selected for molecular comparison. A fragment of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (cox1) gene, ranging from 631 bp to 889 bp, was used to analyze genetic diversity among these ticks. Phylogenetic analyses indicated 7 tick species including Hyalomma asiaticum, Hyalomma detritum, Hyalomma anatolicum, Dermacentor marginatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Rhipicephalus turanicus and Haemaphysalis erinacei from the SERK clustered together with conspecific ticks from the XUAR. The network diagram of haplotypes showed that i) Hy. asiaticum from Almaty and Kyzylorda Oblasts together with that from Yuli County of XUAR constituted haplogroup H-2, and the lineage from Chimkent City of South Kazakhstan was newly evolved; and ii) the R. turanicus ticks sampled in Israel, Almaty, South Kazakhstan, Usu City, Ulugqat and Baicheng Counties of XUAR were derivated from an old lineage in Alataw City of XUAR. These findings indicate that: i) Hy. asiaticum, R. turanicus and Ha. erinacei shared genetic similarities between the SERK and XUAR; and ii) Hy. marginatum and D. reticulatus show differences in their evolution.

SOX11-dependent CATSPER1 expression controls colon cancer cell growth through regulation the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway

        Huang Yang,Wang Yicheng,Wu Zhongmei,Li Tao,Li Shupei,Wang Chan,Ao Jine,Yang Changming,Zhou Yu 한국유전학회 2022 Genes & Genomics Vol.44 No.11

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common malignant tumors and the fourth leading cause of cancer death worldwide. Constitutive activation of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway is a hallmark of colon tumor growth. CATSPER1 gene encodes a pore-forming and pH-sensing subunit of the CatSper Ca2+-permeable channel, a sperm-specific calcium channel essential for hyperactivated motility and male fertility. However, the function of CATSPER1 outside the male reproductive system is unclear. Objective: This study was designed to explore whether CatSper exerted its functional role in the progress of CRC, and investigate the possible mechanisms. Methods: Microarray data (GSE146587) from 6 patients diagnosed with stage III CRC post-surgery was analyzed by Limma R package. The Kaplan Meier plotter (KM plotter) database was used to assess the relevance of CATSPER1 mRNA expression to the overall survival (OS) rates in CRC. Western blot, real-time PCR and luciferase reporter assays were used to determine the SOX11-CATSPER1 axis in CRC cells. Clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)-based gene editing was used to generate CATSPER1 knockout (KO) CRC cells. The proliferation of CRC cells was determined by BrdU incorporation and colony formation assays. The effect of CATSPER1 on CRC tumor growth in vivo was investigated in a mice tumor xenograft model. Results: Here, we show that CATSPER1 expression was significantly up-regulated in CRC and elevated CATSPER1 was associated with poor overall survival (OS). Moreover, the transcription factor SOX11 (SRY-related high-mobility-group (HMG) box 11) activated CATSPER1 transcription in CRC cells. Functionally, we showed that CATSPER1 promoted CRC cells proliferation both in vitro and in vivo. At the molecular level, we demonstrated that CATSPER1 might maintain CRC malignant process partly through the activation of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. Conclusion: Increased CATSPER1 expression facilitates CRC cells proliferation, suggesting that targeting CATSPER1 might represent a promising strategy for colon cancer treatment.

Sliding Friction and Wear Behavior of C/C Composites Against 40 Cr Steel

        Yicheng Ge,Maozhong Yi,Huijuan Xu,Ke Peng,Lin Yang 한국탄소학회 2009 Carbon Letters Vol.10 No.2

In this work, effects of carbon matrix on sliding friction and wear behavior of four kinds of C/C have been investigated against 40 Cr steel ring mate. Composite A with rough lamination carbon matrix (RL) shows the highest volume loss and coefficient of friction, while composite D with smooth lamination/resin carbon matrix (SL/RC) shows the lowest volume loss. The worn surface of composite A appears smooth, whereas that of composite C with smooth lamination carbon (SL) appears rough. The worn surface of composite D appears smooth under low load but rough under high load. Atomic force microscope images show that the size of wear particles on the worn surface is also dependent on the carbon matrix.

Finite-time Synchronization of a Class of Coupled Memristor-based Recurrent Neural Networks: Static State Control and Dynamic Control Approach

        Chao Yang,Yicheng Liu,Fangmin Li,Yangfan Li 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2021 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.19 No.1

This paper investigates the problem of the finite-time synchronization of a class of coupled memristorbased recurrent neural networks (MRNNs) with time delays. Based on the drive-response concept and differentialinclusions theory, several sufficient assumptions are given to ensure the finite-time synchronization of MRNNs. In order to realize the finite-time synchronization between the drive system and the response system, we designthree classes of novel control rules such as static state controller, static output controller, dynamic state controller. Using the theory of differential inclusion, a generalized finite-time convergence theorem and Lyapunov method, theconditions herein are easy to be verified. Moreover, the upper bounds of the settling time of synchronization areestimated and the designed dynamic state controllers have good anti-interference capacity. Finally, two numericalexamples are presented to illustrate the effectiveness and the validity of theoretical results.

Hierarchical Resource Management Framework and Multi-hop Task Scheduling Decision for Resource-Constrained VEC Networks

        Xi Hu,Yicheng Zhao,Yang Huang,Chen Zhu,Jun Yao,Nana Fang 한국인터넷정보학회 2022 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.16 No.11

In urban vehicular edge computing (VEC) environments, one edge server always serves many task requests in its coverage which results in the resource-constrained problem. To resolve the problem and improve system utilization, we first design a general hierarchical resource management framework based on typical VEC network structures. Following the framework, a specific interacting protocol is also designed for our decision algorithm. Secondly, a greedy bidding-based multi-hop task scheduling decision algorithm is proposed to realize effective task scheduling in resource-constrained VEC environments. In this algorithm, the goal of maximizing system utility is modeled as an optimization problem with the constraints of task deadlines and available computing resources. Then, an auction mechanism named greedy bidding is used to match task requests to edge servers in the case of multiple hops to maximize the system utility. Simulation results show that our proposal can maximize the number of tasks served in resource constrained VEC networks and improve the system utility.

Effect of material mechanical differences on shear properties of contact zone composite samples: Experimental and numerical studies

        Weiqi Wang,Yicheng Ye,Qihu Wang,Xiaoyun Liu,Fan Yang,Wenkan Tan 국제구조공학회 2020 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.76 No.2

Aiming at the mechanical and structural characteristics of the contact zone composite rock, the shear tests and numerical studies were carried out. The effects of the differences in mechanical properties of different materials and the normal stress on shear properties of contact zone composite samples were analyzed from a macro-meso level. The results show that the composite samples have high shear strength, and the interface of different materials has strong adhesion. The differences in mechanical properties of materials weakens the shear strength and increase the shear brittleness of the sample, while normal stress will inhibit these effect. Under low/high normal stress, the sample show two failure modes, at the meso-damage level: elastic-shearing-frictional sliding and elastic-extrusion wear. This is mainly controlled by the contact and friction state of the material after damage. The secondary failure of undulating structure under normal-shear stress is the nature of extrusion wear, which is positively correlated to the normal stress and the degree of difference in mechanical properties of different materials. The increase of the mechanical difference of the sample will enhance the shear brittleness under lower normal stress and the shear interaction under higher normal stress.

Cf/C-Cu- New Sliding Electrical Contact Materials

        Liping Ran,Maozhong Yi,Ke Peng,Lin Yang,Yicheng Ge 한국탄소학회 2009 Carbon Letters Vol.10 No.2

[ Cf/C-Cu ]composites were fabricated by infiltrating molten Cu into different Cf/C preforms prepared by chemical vapor infiltration, resin impregnation and carbonization. The microstructure and properties of the composites were investigated. The results show that Cu in the composites filled the pores and showed network-like distribution. Compared with homemade J204 brush material and certain grade pantograph slider from abroad, the composites have higher flexural strength and better electrical conductivity. The friction and wear properties of the composites are better than that of J204, and closed to that of the abroad material.

Study on Residual Stress Releasing of 316L Stainless Steel Welded Joints by Ultrasonic Impact Treatment

        Xiao-Dong Hu,Chongbin Ma,Yicheng Yang,Qingliang Zeng 한국강구조학회 2020 International Journal of Steel Structures Vol.20 No.3

In this paper, the eff ect of ultrasonic impact treatment (UIT) on the residual stress of 316L welded butt-joint was investigated. Firstly, the temperature fi eld distribution in the welded joint was simulated based on the double-ellipsoidal heat source model, and the residual stresses were calculated by a sequential coupling thermo-mechanical fi nite element method. Subsequently, based on the theory of transient contact mechanics, the eff ects of UIT on releasing of the welding residual stress was analyzed. The microstructure of the weld metal before and after the UIT treatment was compared to study the infl uence of UIT. The results show that the maximum residual stresses in the weld metal and heat aff ected zones are released due to the dislocation multiplication during the UIT, and this eff ect on the weld metal is more remarkable than that on the heat aff ected zones. The results of numerical simulation of UIT are consistent with the corresponding experimental results. After UIT, the transverse and longitudinal tensile stresses near the fusion line are changed to compressive stresses.

Impact of NR1I2, adenosine triphosphate-binding cassette transporters genetic polymorphisms on the pharmacokinetics of ginsenoside compound K in healthy Chinese volunteers

        Zhou, Luping,Chen, Lulu,Wang, Yaqin,Huang, Jie,Yang, Guoping,Tan, Zhirong,Wang, Yicheng,Liao, Jianwei,Zhou, Gan,Hu, Kai,Li, Zhenyu,Ouyang, Dongsheng The Korean Society of Ginseng 2019 Journal of Ginseng Research Vol.43 No.3

Background: Ginsenoside compound K (CK) is a promising drug candidate for rheumatoid arthritis. This study examined the impact of polymorphisms in NR1I2, adenosine triphosphate-binding cassette (ABC) transporter genes on the pharmacokinetics of CK in healthy Chinese individuals. Methods: Forty-two targeted variants in seven genes were genotyped in 54 participants using Sequenom MassARRAY system to investigate their association with major pharmacokinetic parameters of CK and its metabolite 20(S)-protopanaxadiol (PPD). Subsequently, molecular docking was simulated using the AutoDock Vina program. Results: ABCC4 rs1751034 TT and rs1189437 TT were associated with increased exposure of CK and decreased exposure of 20(S)-PPD, whereas CFTR rs4148688 heterozygous carriers had the lowest maximum concentration ($C_{max}$) of CK. The area under the curve from zero to the time of the last quantifiable concentration ($AUC_{last}$) of CK was decreased in NR1I2 rs1464602 and rs2472682 homozygous carriers, while $C_{max}$ was significantly reduced only in rs2472682. ABCC4 rs1151471 and CFTR rs2283054 influenced the pharmacokinetics of 20(S)-PPD. In addition, several variations in ABCC2, ABCC4, CFTR, and NR1I2 had minor effects on the pharmacokinetics of CK. Quality of the best homology model of multidrug resistance protein 4 (MRP4) was assessed, and the ligand interaction plot showed the mode of interaction of CK with different MRP4 residues. Conlusion: ABCC4 rs1751034 and rs1189437 affected the pharmacokinetics of both CK and 20(S)-PPD. NR1I2 rs1464602 and rs2472682 were only associated with the pharmacokinetics of CK. Thus, these hereditary variances could partly explain the interindividual differences in the pharmacokinetics of CK.
