KOLANDAN Subramaniam,PALTHAMBURAJ Kingston,RETNAM R Kalai Vilanggum Kanimoli,BASRI Azizul Qayyum,MD YASIR5 Ahmad Shah Hizam 한국유통과학회 2023 유통과학연구 Vol.21 No.12
Purpose: Business education is in high demand whereas knowledge is critical for an individual's professional development in general, and for teachers in particular. In this research, the effect of the distributions of teachers’ business knowledge on schools’ achievement were investigated. Research design, data and methodology: This study employs a quantitative method to investigate the level of business knowledge distributions of teachers on schools’ achievement. 155 business studies subject teachers were categorised into 66 respective schools to measure the correlation and regression between teachers’ business knowledge distribution and schools’ achievement. Results: The results of the study show that there is a significant relationship between school achievement from the aspect of teachers’ business knowledge distributions, with the score of, r = 0.345, p < 0.05. The value of R2 shows a moderate relationship between the teachers’ knowledge distributions on school achievement but still plays a role in determining the measurement of the school's level of achievement. Conclusions: It is concluded that the relationship between teacher’s business knowledge and school achievement in the subject of Business Studies is significant. This study proves that the teacher's knowledge about business is very important in guaranteeing the success of students who took this subject.
Fast Tone Mapping Operator for Display of High Dynamic Range Images

we propose a fast and effective tone reproduction method that preserves visibility, contrast, and natural impression of scenes for conventional low dynamic range display devices. The method is simple and easy to implement. A single parameter controls the overall contrast and visibility in an elegant manner. We use an s-function curve which takes into account the log-average of the image, as well as the luminance in the immediate neighbourhood of the concerned pixel by using a median filter. It is observed that the technique gives satisfactory results for variety of images avoiding common artifacts, such as halos, gradient reversals, and loss of local contrast.
Embolization of procedure-related upper gastrointestinal bleeding
Yasir Nouri,Ji Hoon Shin,Heung-Kyu Ko,Jong Woo Kim,Hyun-Ki Yoon 소화기인터벤션의학회 2019 Gastrointestinal Intervention Vol.8 No.2
Non-surgical procedure-related, upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB) is considered as one of the rarest of all UGIB causes, although it is a seri-ous complication when it occurs. It presented as hematemesis, melena or hemobilia in which is associated with hepatobiliary intervention. In most patients the bleeding resolves spontaneously and in those in which it does not, the majority respond to conservative management. Endoscopy is the first line of treatment if bleeding does not stop after medical management, although if it failed due to massive bleeding, in hemodynamically un-stable patients or in hepatobiliary procedure-related bleeding, endovascular or surgical intervention should be considered. In this manuscript we will discuss the endovascular diagnosis and treatment of non-surgical procedure-related UGIB.

Three yeast strains (designated SHA, SHC, and SHD)exhibiting strong inhibitory effects against soybean lipoxygenase were isolated from Korean nuruk and identified as Issatchenkia orientalis. Total 80 yeast isolates from two major Korean nuruk samples were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism and phylogenetic analysis. The most abundant yeast was identified as Pichia anomala, comprising 47 out of 80 strains, followed by 15 strains of I. orientalis. All 15I. orientalis strains showed significant inhibitory effects against soybean lipoxygenase, higher than that of Saccahromyces boulardii used as a positive control.

Conventional transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (c-TACE) is a widely used first-line palliative treatment for patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Despite the effectiveness of c-TACE, to date, technique and procedure scheduling has not yet been standardized. Drug-eluting microspheres (DEMs) were therefore introduced to ensure more sustained and tumor-selective drug delivery for permanent embolization. These DEMs can load various drugs and release them in a sustained manner over a prolonged period. This approach ensures the delivery of high concentrations of chemotherapeutic agents to tumors, without increasing systemic concentrations, and promote tumor ischemia and necrosis. This review summarizes the recent advances in the use of DEM-TACE to treat HCC.
Chitinophaga eiseniae sp. nov., isolated from vermicompost.
Yasir, Muhammad,Chung, Eu Jin,Song, Geun Cheol,Bibi, Fehmida,Jeon, Che Ok,Chung, Young Ryun Society for General Microbiology 2011 International journal of systematic and evolutiona Vol.61 No.10

A Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterial strain, YC6729(T), was isolated from vermicompost collected at Masan, Korea, and its taxonomic position was investigated by a polyphasic taxonomic approach. Strain YC6729(T) grew optimally at 30 °C and at pH 6.5-8.5. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain YC6729(T) belongs to the genus Chitinophaga in the family Chitinophagaceae. It was related most closely to Chitinophaga terrae KP01(T) (96.4???% 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity), Chitinophaga ginsengisegetis Gsoil 040(T) (96.1???%), Chitinophaga arvensicola IAM 12650(T) (96.1???%) and Chitinophaga pinensis DSM 2588(T) (93.3???%). Strain YC6729(T) contained MK-7 as the major menaquinone and homospermidine as the major polyamine. The fatty acids of strain YC6729(T) were iso-C(15???:???0), C(16???:???1)??5c, iso-C(17???:???0) 3-OH, C(16???:???0), anteiso-C(18???:???0) and/or C(18???:???2)??6,9c, iso-C(15???:???0) 2-OH and/or C(16???:???1)??7c, C(14???:???0), iso-C(15???:???0) 3-OH, iso-C(15???:???1) G, C(18???:???1)??5c, iso-C(15???:???1) I and/or C(13???:???0) 3-OH, C(13???:???0) 2-OH, C(16???:???0) 3-OH and unknown fatty acid ECL 13.565. The polar lipid profile contained phosphatidylethanolamine, unknown aminolipids and unknown lipids. The total DNA G+C content of strain YC6729(T) was 48.9 mol%. The phenotypic, chemotaxonomic and phylogenetic data showed that strain YC6729(T) represents a novel species of the genus Chitinophaga, for which the name Chitinophaga eiseniae sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is YC6729(T) (???=???KACC 13774(T) ???=???DSM 22224(T)).

Absolute immunity means that a State cannot exercise legislative, judicial or executive powers over another State due to the mere fact that the latter is sovereign. Today, it is rejected by a considerable number of States which represent various legal systems. States argue that private acts of a State performed jure gestionis, apart from the conducts performed jure impreii, are justiciable. It can be asserted that the current State practice embracing the restrictive approach is the direction in which international law has been evolving. That said, States’ interests which led to the adoption of State immunity still continue to induce legislative bodies and courts to be cautious in formulating a broad exception to immunity for employment contracts, causing them to refocus on the question of whether the employment relationship is destined for governmental, public, or sovereign purposes.
