Recently, traffic light detection and classification systems have been studied and developed to build an autonomous car by many research institutes, universities, and companies. However, the results of existing traffic light detection systems are still not stable under day and night conditions. It is difficult to detect the location of traffic light due to their small size. Moreover, traffic lights’ shapes are also similar to advertisement lights in a city road. Therefore, this paper proposed a new approach to improve the performance of existing traffic light detection systems by using the benefits of hand-crafted features and deep learning techniques. Experimental results show that the proposed system obtained the detection rate of 80% under night conditions, while the color-based density method only got the detection rate of 50.43% under night conditions.
Characterization of composted chicken manures discharged from farms in South Korea

In this study, the characteristics as well as the maturity and stability of chicken manure collected from nine chicken farms in South Korea during the summer and winter seasons of 2014 are evaluated. The physicochemical parameter values of the manure, such as BOD, NO₃-N and PO₄-P etc. were determined using the Korea Standard test Method, HPLC, and APHA standard methods. The results showed that the alkalinity content and COD concentration in winter chicken manure were higher than those of summer chicken manure. The moisture content of summer manure was positively correlated with almost all of the other parameters of the manure, whereas it was negatively correlated with almost all of the other parameters in the winter manure. According to the criterion of C/N ratio, chicken manure indicated good quality compost. However, composted chicken manure showed immature and unstable compost when considering the criteria of the NH₄-N/NO₃-N ratio and NH₄-N concentrations.
Magnetoresistance Effect in La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 Thin Films Fabricated by Using Pulsed Laser Deposition

La0:7Sr0.₃MnO₃ thin films were fabricated onto (100) n-Si substrates by using pulsed laser deposition (PLD). The thickness of the lms was controlled from 30 nm to 100 nm by varying deposition time. The deposited lms were then annealed at 600℃ for 5 h. Room-temperature X-ray patterns verifed that the lms had a La0:7Sr0:3MnO3 single phase as did the target. The crystalline orientation of the lms was in uenced by the lms thickness. Thinner lms were more oriented in the (104) direction. The Magnetoresistance (MR) measured at 300 K for all the lms exhibited a pure DE behavior that depended on the films thickness. A nonlinear eld dependence of the magnetoresistance was observed in the temperature region far below TC. This obtained result could not be explained by the DE mechanism. Fitting experimental data to the spin polarized tunneling model, we attributed the dominated low-field MR below TC to spin polarized tunneling between grain boundaries. Characterization of Composted Chicken Manures Discharged from Farms in the Southern Korea

A number of researches have studied related to chicken manure. Chicken manure is one of the best animal manure as fertilizer because of its high nutrient content. In this research, the samples of broiler chicken manure and layer chicken manure were collected from nine farms located in southern Korea in summer and winter seasons in 2014. These parameters, including BOD<sub>5</sub>, COD, NO<sub>3</sub>-N, NH<sub>3</sub>-N, T-N, PO<sub>4</sub>-P, T-P were analysed. The results showed that the concentration of BOD<sub>5</sub> in broiler chicken manure was higher than that of in layer chicken manure. It in summer broiler manure and summer layer manure were higher than that of winter broiler manure and winter layer manure, respectively. COD concentration in both of the summer broiler manure and summer layer manure was lower than the concentration of COD in winter broiler manure and winter layer manure. The nutrients concentrations in broiler and layer chicken manure were high. This research also mentioned some successful compost application rate to improve soil properties as well as regulations related to maximum amount of nitrogen and phosphorus supply using compost of some countries in the world.

Objectives: Vibrio parahaemolyticus is a major foodborne pathogen in aquatic animals and a threat to human health worldwide. This study investigated the prevalence, antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial resistance genes (ARGs), and biofilm formation of V. parahaemolyticus strains isolated from fish mariculture environments in Cat Ba Island, Vietnam.Methods: In total, 150 rearing water samples were collected from 10 fish mariculture farms in winter and summer. A polymerase chain reaction assay was used to identify V. parahaemolyticus, its virulence factors, and ARGs. The antimicrobial resistance patterns and biofilm formation ability of V. parahaemolyticus strains were investigated using the disk diffusion test and a microtiter plate-based crystal violet method, respectively.Results: Thirty-seven V. parahaemolyticus isolates were recovered from 150 samples. The frequencies of the tdh and trh genes among V. parahaemolyticus isolates were 8.1% and 21.6%, respectively. More than 90% of isolates were susceptible to ceftazidime, cefotaxime, and chloramphenicol, but over 72% were resistant to ampicillin, tetracycline, and erythromycin. Furthermore, 67.57% of isolates exhibited multidrug resistance. The presence of ARGs related to gentamicin (aac(3)-IV), tetracycline (tetA) and ciprofloxacin (qnrA) in V. parahaemolyticus isolates was identified. Conversely, no ARGs related to ampicillin or erythromycin resistance were detected. Biofilm formation capacity was detected in significantly more multidrug-resistant isolates (64.9%) than non-multidrug-resistant isolates (18.9%).Conclusion: Mariculture environments are a potential source of antibiotic-resistant V. parahaemolyticus and a hotspot for virulence genes and ARGs diffusing to aquatic environments. Thus, the prevention of antibiotic-resistant foodborne vibriosis in aquatic animals and humans requires continuous monitoring.
Novel Carrier PWM Technique with Extension Range For 4-Switch Inverter

Three-phase 4-switch voltage source inverters are advantageous for reduced number of power switches. For these topologies, space vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVM) methods have been commonly used for controlling the circuit. This paper presents a novel carrier based PWM method for 4-switch inverters, which is simple and flexible. Linear overmodulation will be also investigated. The proposed method will be mathematically analyzed and demonstrated by simulation and experimental results.
Electromigration with enhanced green emission in the titanium dioxide nanotube/graphene composite

One of the most studied photoluminescence emission peaks of anatase titanium dioxide (TiO2) is green, located at about 520 nm, which is assigned to the radiative recombination between a mobile electron in the conduction band and oxygen vacancy defect as a trapped hole in the bandgap. Composite materials of TiO2 with graphene are normally shown by the gradual quenching of photoluminescence intensity as a result of carrier lifetime extension, which is important to enhance photocatalytic activity. Herein we report an observation of the intensity enhancement of the green PL emission in a composite TiO2 nanotube (TNT) and graphene produced through facile hydrothermal synthesis. The heterojunction formation of graphene and TNT makes the excited photoelectrons easy to diffuse from TNT to graphene. Hence, the recombination rate of mobile electrons in graphene and trapped holes located on the nanotube surface is enhanced due to the high mobility of electrons in graphene.
A Novel Chitosan-Gossypol Based Nanocarrier for Anticancer Curcumin Drug Delivery

Gossypol chitosan (GPCS) nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized at the size of 20-40 nm through amidation process to forming base shift of polymer chains of chitosan using gossypol as a crosslinking agent. Their structure was confirmed by Fourier Transformed Infra Red (FT-IR) spectra. Morphology, stability, loading and releasing efficiency of GPCS and Cur/GPCS (Cur stands for curcumin) were thoroughly investigated by Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), FT-IR, Ultra Violet-Visible spectrophotometry (UV-Vis) and High Resolve Photoluminescence System (HRPLS). The obtained nanocarrier exhibited an excellent solubility for Cur anticancer drug as well as high stability for in vitro studies. An intensive fluorescence, allowing drug monitor/delivery, was achieved. Drug release profile was also studied. GPCS, therefore, could be considered to be a potential drug carrier for therapeutic treatment.
