      • Investment Climate Analysis of China and South Korea: Based on Grading Method

        Purpose - This study analyzes the investment environment of South Korea by using the rating scale of Robert B Stobaugh, Jr, and draws conclusion implication. Research design, data, and methodology - The study conducted a survey on according to the political stability, capital repatriation, foreign ownership allowed, discrimination and controls, foreign vs domestic businesses, currency stability, willingness to grant tariff protection, availability of local capital, and annual inflation for last 5 years. The score of these eight aspects will be given based on the current situation in South Korea and the sum of the scores will be calculated. Result - China-Korea economic and trade relations are in a stage of transformation and upgrading, and the level of economic and trade cooperation in various fields is reaching a new level. It is hoped that Chinese enterprises will grasp business opportunities, strengthen research and analysis of the Korea market and achieve mutually beneficial cooperation. Conclusion - The investment environment of South Korea is superior according to the political stability, capital repatriation, foreign ownership allowed, discrimination and controls, foreign vs domestic businesses, currency stability, willingness to grant tariff protection, availability of local capital, and annual inflation for last 5 years.

      • Effects of Multiple-target Anti-microRNA Antisense Oligodeoxyribonucleotides on Proliferation and Migration of Gastric Cancer Cells

        Backgrounds: To investigate the inhibiting effects of multi-target anti-microRNA antisense oligonucleotide (MTg-AMOs) on proliferation and migration of human gastric cancer cells. Methods: Single anti-microRNA antisense oligonucleotides (AMOs) and MTg-AMOs for miR-221, 21, and 106a were designed and transfected into SGC7901, a gastric cancer cell line, to target the activity of these miRNAs. Their expression was analyzed using stem-loop RT-PCR and effects of MTg-AMOs on human gastric cancer cells were determined using the following two assay methods: CCK8 for cell proliferation and transwells for migration. Results: In the CCK-8 cell proliferation assay, $0.6{\mu}mol/L$ was selected as the preferred concentration of MTg-AMOs and incubation time was 72 hours. Under these experimental conditions, MTg-AMOs demonstrated better suppression of the expression of miR-221, miR-106a, miR-21 in gastric cancer cells than that of single AMOs (P = 0.014, 0.024; 0.038, respectively). Migration activity was also clearly decreased as compared to those in randomized and blank control groups ($28{\pm}4$ Vs $54{\pm}3$, P <0.01; $28{\pm}4$ Vs $59{\pm}4$, P < 0.01). Conclusions: MTg-AMOs can specifically inhibit the expression of multiple miRNAs, and effectively antagonize proliferation and migration of gastric cancer cells promoted by oncomirs.

        Text Mining of South Korea YouTube Comments on Sidewalk Autonomous Delivery Robots

        Sidewalk autonomous delivery robots (SADRs) are set to commence formal operations in South Korea, allowing the general public to encounter and interact with them in public spaces. Consequently, understanding the opinions of the populace regarding SADRs has become imperative, and one viable approach is the analysis of user-generated online comments. This research involved the analysis of 6,598 comments from nine YouTube videos to uncover the perspectives of South Korean YouTube users on SADRs. The text mining was executed through word frequency analysis and LDA topic modeling. Word frequency analysis revealed that, beyond search terms like "delivery" and "robot," the most frequently occurring words included "human," "fee," "delivery rider," "good," "sidewalk," and "use." The LDA topic modeling categorizes the identified themes into three: (1) SADRs replacing traditional manual delivery; (2) SADRs' operational technology; and (3) the real-world challenges and prospects of SADRs. This study has captured the sentiments of South Korean YouTube commenters towards SADRs, encompassing their positive feedback, concerns, and insights. It provides valuable direction for companies engaged in robotic innovation. Furthermore, it underscores the significance of leveraging YouTube video comments as a textual database in the field of robotics.

        Modification of activated carbon from agricultural waste lotus leaf and its adsorption mechanism of beryllium

        With the wide application of beryllium globally, industrial wastewater has rapidly increased. Previously, adsorption was effective in treating this issue. However, most adsorbents have a poor removal rate, primarily in the low adsorption capacity. To remove Be from industrial wastewater and overcome the disadvantages of low adsorption capacity and poor removal rate of existing adsorbents, typical agricultural waste lotus leaf was used to prepare Al-activated carbon (Al-AC) by the impregnation-calcination modification of Al(NO3)3. The theoretical maximum adsorption capacity of Al-AC was 32.86 mg/g. Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin models were used to thermodynamically analyze Al-AC, and adsorption thermodynamics demonstrated that the adsorption reaction of Al-AC was endothermic. Through characterization analysis, the specific surface area of the modified AC increased from 4.3573 to 155.87 m2/g. This study provides a new approach to preparing and modifying AC and a new method for removing Be from industrial wastewater.

        Association of a novel antisense lncRNA TP73-AS1 polymorphisms and expression with colorectal cancer susceptibility and prognosis

        Background: TP73-AS1 is a novel antisense long noncoding RNA and plays an important role in cell proliferation and cancer development. However, the link between TP73-AS1 and colorectal cancer (CRC) has not yet been reported. Objective: To explore the association of genetic variants in TP73-AS1 and its expression with CRC susceptibility and prognosis. Methods: A case-control study (including 507 CRC cases and 503 controls) and bioinformatics analysis were conducted. Results: rs9800 polymorphism was significantly related to higher risk in CRC [adjusted odds ratio (AOR) = 1.33, 95% confidence interval (CI) = 1.02-1.75, P = 0.034 in heterozygote codominant model]. There was no difference between TP73-AS1 polymorphisms and different tumor node metastasis (TNM) stages in the adjusted model. Moreover, TP73-AS1 expression level was positively related to different TNM stages. After adjusted for age, gender and TNM, higher TP73-AS1 expression levels were related to shorter recurrence-free survival time [hazard ratio (HR) = 1.66, 95% CI = 1.02-2.71, P = 0.043]. Conclusion: TP73-AS1 polymorphisms and expression may be associated with susceptibility and prognosis of CRC.

      • High Temperature Packaging of 50 ㎾ Three-Phase SiC Power Module

        Research on silicon carbide (SiC) power electronics has shown their advantages in high temperature and high efficiency applications. This paper presents a SiC JFET based, 200 ℃, 50 ㎾ three-phase inverter module and evaluates its electrical performance. With 1200 V, 100 A rating of the module, each switching element is composed of four paralleled SiC JFETs (1200 V/25 A each) and two anti-parallel SiC Shottky Barrier Diodes (SBDs). The substrate layout inside the module is designed to reduce package parasitics. Then, experimental static characteristics of the module are obtained over a wide range of temperature, and low on-state resistance is shown up to 200 ℃. A gate driver, with different turn-on, turn-off gate resistances and RCD network, is designed to optimize the switching performances. The module is verified to have low power loss, fast switching characteristics at 650 V dc bus voltage, 60 A drain current, in both simulation and experiments. Finally, switching time and losses, obtained from simulation and experiment, are compared.

        Next-generation sequencing of the mitochondrial genome of Dolichovespula panda (Hymenoptera: Vespidae) with a phylogenetic analysis of Vespidae

        For the first time the mitochondrial genome of a Dolichovespula species, D. panda Archer (Hymenoptera: Vespidae), was sequenced with a next-generation sequencing approach. The sequenced mitochondrial genome is 17137 bp long and consists of 13 protein-coding, 22 tRNA and two rRNA genes, as well as a partial A +T-rich region. Twenty-two of the genes are encoded on the majority strand and 15 genes on the minority strand. All protein-coding genes start with ATN codons and have a TAA termination codon, except for one with a TA codon. Compared with the putative ancestral arrangement of insects, the D. panda mitochondrial genome shows the shuffling of trnN and trnE, and of trnQ and trnM, the translocation of trnY to upstream of trnI, and of trnL1 to the region between trnS2 and nad1 and a reversal of trnS1. A phylogenetic tree within the Vespidae was reconstructed using the 13 protein-coding mitochondrial genes. This shows a sister group relationship between Dolichovespula and a clade formed by Vespa and Vespula. It also corroborated the position of Eumeninae as sister group of the clade Polistinae +Vespinae.

        Factors Influencing Behavioral Intention for Mobile Applications of Health Care Escort Service

        Mobile applications of health care escort services (MA-HCES) are applications for booking escorts that accompany patients and offer a range of services during medical visits, including home delivery, queue registration, and face-to-face consultations. Young single-person households are the users of MA-HCES, making it necessary to investigate their behavioral intention to use MA-HCES. This study aims to develop and validate a research model based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to identify factors influencing the behavioral intention of this group toward MA-HCES. The research model includes subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, attitude, emotional preference, behavioral intention, and privacy concerns. These factors respectively represent the social pressures felt by individuals when performing the behavior, their perceived ease or difficulty of the behavior, their overall evaluation of the behavior, the emotions that drive the behavior, the inclination to perform the behavior, and their concerns about the extent of personal privacy exposure to others. Data were collected through a survey of 322 young single-person households, and a structural equation model (SEM) was employed to test the research model. The results indicate that subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, attitude, and affective preference positively influence behavioral intention. Subjective norms and emotional preference also have positive influence on attitude. Privacy concerns have a negative influence on attitude but do not influence behavioral intention. This study establishes an innovative model that can predict the behavioral intention of young singleperson households to use MA-HCES, contributing to both practice and theory.
