Stereo Matching Based on Least Square
Yu Haihao,Fang Yurun,Kong Leilei,Wang Xin 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.10 No.2
Least Square method is widely adopted in stereo matching owing to it high precision, but the fact that transformation parameters is obtained by solving linear equations leads to the instability of its solutions and the process of matching oscillates and decreases convergence speed. To overcome this disadvantage, improve convergence speed and keep high precision, this paper provides gradient method to resolve stereo matching. The experiments show that the algorithm is valid and practical.

Purpose: To develop a simple and reliable rat model of in situ reversible obstructive jaundice with low morbidity and mortality rates. Methods: Rats were divided into 4 groups with 8 rats each: the sham-operated (SH) group only underwent laparotomy, the control internal drainage (ID-C) group underwent choledochoduodenostomy, the new internal drainage (ID-N) group and the long-term internal drainage (ID-L) group underwent choledochocholedochostomy. Common bile duct ligation was performed in all the drainage groups 7 days before reversal procedures. All rats were sacrificed for samples 7 days after the last operation except rats of the ID-L group that survived 28 days before sacrifice. Body weight, liver function, histopathological changes, morbidity and mortality were assessed. Results: One rat died and 2 rats had complications with tube blockage in the ID-C group. No death or complications occurred in the ID-N and ID-L groups. The drainage tube remained patent in the long-term observation ID-L group. Body weight showed no significant difference between the ID-C and ID-N groups after 7 days drainage. Liver function was not fully recovered in the ID-C and ID-N groups after 7 days drainage, but statistical differences were only observed in the ID-C group compared with the SH and ID-L groups. Periportal inflammation and bile duct proliferation showed severer in the ID-C group than in the ID-N group. Conclusion: The present study provided an efficient, simple, and reliable rat model that is especially suitable for long-term or consecutive studies of reversible obstructive jaundice.
Robust back‑stepping sliding mode control for LCL‑type grid‑connected inverters in weak grids
Xin Ding,Junyang Liang,Shangping Lu,Fannie Kong,Yanming Chen 전력전자학회 2023 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.23 No.5
Gird impedance variations in a weak grid can easily lead to the instability of grid-connected inverters with an LCL filter. In this paper, a robust back-stepping sliding mode control strategy for the LCL-type grid-connected inverter is proposed to ensure local asymptotic stability. First, due to its nonlinear switching problem, the model is transformed into the Brunovsky canonical form of a linear system, using the exact feedback linearization theory. Then, to ensure global stability and rapid dynamic performance, a back-stepping sliding mode control strategy is recursively derived. Furthermore, under the premise of asymptotic stability, a robust scheme is developed to obtain appropriate parameters against grid impedance variations. Hence, the expected stability performance can be achieved and the dynamic performance can be improved in a weak grid. Finally, a 2 kW prototype is constructed, and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller when compared with the conventional back-stepping scheme.

Objectives: To explore the impact of low- vs conventional-dose chemotherapy via transcatheter arterial chemo-embolization (TACE) on serum fibrosis indicators and treatment efficacy of hepatocellular cancer patients (HCC). Materials and Methods: Patients fulfilling the eligibility criteria were assigned to TACE in Group A (with low-dose chemotherapy) or Group B (conventional-dose chemotherapy). Four serum fibrosis related indicators, hyaluronic acid(HA), human pro-collagen type-III (hPC-III), laminin (LN), and collagen type-IV(IV-C) before TACE were compared with the values 7 days after TACE. The response rate and survival time were also compared between the two groups. Results: Fifty patients with HCC were enrolled in this study, including 25 in Group A and 25 in Group B. No significant differences were detected between the two groups in the four indicators before TACE. After TACE, the value of the four serum indicators increased significantly in Group B. However, no significant differences regarding these four indicators were found in Group A after TACE. Significant differences were demonstrated between the two groups after TACE, but median survival time and 1 or 2 year overall survival rates did not differ (P>0.05). Conclusions: Low-, compared with conventional-dose chemotherapy exerts the same impact on the variation of fibrosis related indicators and has no influence on median survival time and survival rate after TACE in HCC patients.

Salinity is a considerable factor to the survival and distribution for a majority of marine organisms, the drawbacks of which are becoming a serious issue of aquaculture. DNA methylation, an extensively studied epigenetic modification in eukaryotes, plays a significant role in the regulation of gene expression in responding to environmental changes and triggering evolutionary consequences. The Pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas, as a eurythermal and euryhaline species, is considered to be tolerant to salinity fluctuation. In this study, fluorescent-labeled methylation-sensitive amplified polymorphism (F-MSAP) analysis was used to investigate the frequency and variation of DNA methylation in C. gigas under different salinity and time. The results showed that total methylation level was generally on a downward trend. At lower salinity, the total methylation level decreased at the earlier process and then increased during experiment process, but continued to shrink at the rest salinity. Fully methylation tended to better reflect the dynamics of total methylation. Recovery treatment showed that the extent and pattern of DNA methylation were difficult to return to the normal level in this research. The sequencing and BLAST analysis indicated that in salt stress most of the selected bands were closely related to the metabolism of nucleic acids and proteins, tropomyosin, and cellular transport, effecting on different biological processes of C. gigas. This work provides useful data to further elucidate the molecular mechanisms of salt stress response and tolerance in invertebrates.

Background Although numerous measures have been used to improve the outcome of lung cancer patients, lung cancer, as the second most common diagnosed cancer, is still the main cause of cancer death. It becomes increasingly urgent for us to deeply deplore the molecular mechanism of lung cancer and to discover the potential therapeutic targets. In our study, we are dedicated to discovering the role of MIB2 in lung cancer development. Methods The public databases were used to compare the expression level of MIB2 in cancer and non-cancer tissue. We analyzed the expression of MIB2 in lung cancer samples by performing Rt-PCR and western blot. We carried out CCK8 and clone assays to study the influence of MIB2 in lung cancer proliferation. The transwell assays and wound healing assays were implemented to study the function of MIB2 in metastasis and invasion. Proteins of cell cycle control pathways are detected to verify the potential mechanism of MIB2 in lung cancer progression. Results MIB2 is up regulated in lung cancer tissue compared to adjacent normal lung tissue according to both public databases and our clinical lung cancer samples. Knockdown of MIB2 inhibits proliferation, metastasis, and invasion of lung cancer cell lines. Cyclins and cyclin dependent kinases (CDK) including CDK2, CDK4, and cyclinB1 were down regulated in MIB2 knockdown cells. Conclusion Our results prove that MIB2 acts as a driver in NSCLC tumorigenesis by regulating cell cycle control pathways.
Optical Model of a Human Eye’s Crystalline Lens based on a Three-layer Liquid Lens
Meimei Kong,Xin Chen,Yang Yuan,Rui Zhao,Tao Chen,Zhongcheng Liang 한국광학회 2019 Current Optics and Photonics Vol.3 No.2
Based on liquid-lens technology and our previous findings on the optical model of the Chinese eye, the liquid lens is applied in the research of the crystalline-lens optical model. Theoretical models of three-layer liquid lenses are built with COMSOL software, and the effect of voltage on the shape of the interface between two liquids is analyzed. By polynomial fitting, different equations describing the interface shape are set up under different voltages. Finally, the optical system of the human eye with a three-layer liquid lens is built and analyzed with Zemax optical design software, and moreover the optical system models of emmetropia, myopia, and hyperopia are presented. This method to build a model of the human eye with a variable-focus liquid lens can provide a novel idea for more practical human-eye models for clinical regulation and control in the future.

Auricularia auricula-judae is a traditional edible fungus that is cultivated widely in China. In this study, a genetic linkage map for A. auricula-judae was constructed using a mapping population consisting of 138 monokaryons derived from a hybrid strain (A119-5). The monokaryotic parent strains A14-5 and A18-119 were derived from two cultivated varieties, A14 (Qihei No. 1) and A18 (Qihei No. 2), respectively. In total, 130 simple sequence repeat markers were mapped. These markers were developed using the whole genome sequence of A. auricula-judae and amplified in A14-5, A18- 119, and the mapping population. The map consisted of 11 linkage groups (LGs) spanning 854 cM, with an average interval length of 6.57 cM. A testcross population was derived from crossing between the monokaryon A184-57 (from the wild strain A184 as a tester strain) and the mapping population. Important agronomic trait-related QTLs, including mycelium growth rate on potato dextrose agar for the mapping population, mycelium growth rate on potato dextrose agar and sawdust for the testcross population, growth period (days from inoculation to fruiting body harvesting), and yield for the testcross population, were identified using the composite interval mapping method. Six mycelium growth raterelated QTLs were identified on LG1 and LG4, two growth period-related QTLs were identified on LG2, and three yieldrelated QTLs were identified on LG2 and LG6. The results showed no linkage relationship between mycelium growth rate and growth period. The present study provides a foundation for locating genes for important agronomic characteristics in A. auricula-judae in the future.

Xiao-ming Kong,Xin-hui Xie,Shu-xian Xu,Yang Chen,Chen Wang,Hong Hong,Yan Sun 대한신경정신의학회 2019 PSYCHIATRY INVESTIGATION Vol.16 No.6
To examine the feasibility of low-charge electrotherapy (LCE) in treating geriatric major depressive disorder (MDD) patients. Bi-temporal LCEs (approximately 25 mC) were performed with an electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) instrument three times per week. We used the Hamilton Depression Scale 17 (HAMD-17) and the Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) to assess the effects of LCE and the Mini- Mental State Examination (MMSE) to evaluate the cognitive function change before and after LCE. Six visits occurred at the baseline, after LCE sessions 3, 6, and 9, after the last session, and at the end of the one-month follow-up period. Four patients were enrolled in the study. Two patients completed all LCE sessions. Two patients withdrew during the trial, one due to the adverse event of uroschesis potentially caused by atropine and the other due to her own will. All four patients completed the follow-up sessions. The HAMD-17 and HAMA scores were reduced significantly at the last LCE session and the end of the follow-up period compared with the scores at the baseline. As measured by the MMSE, cognitive impairment showed no significant changes at the last LCE session and the end of the follow- up period compared with that at the baseline. In this case series, LCE showed potential as an alternative current-based treatment for treating geriatric MDD patients. Further research is needed to assess the efficiency and safety of LCE.
