Objectives : The purpose of this study is to explore the trends of Korean medical study on stress in the industrial worker. Methods : We received numbers of the studies about stress in the industrial worker from 6 Korean web databases, using key words such as ‘Industry AND Stress’, ‘Oriental medicine AND Stress’, ‘Worker AND Stress’, ‘Workplace AND Stress’. We received 12 research papers and they were analyzed and the journals, the authors, the contents of 3 classification of those research papers. Results : Among them, we had 6 reviews of Dept. of preventive medicine and Dept. of third medicine, college of Korean Medicine, Won-kwang University, and the rest of them were 6 reviews. We had 4 reviews of Korean Journal of Oriental Preventive Medical Society, 2 reviews of the Journal of Traditional Korean Medicine, 2 reviews of Journal of Oriental Neuropsychiatry and so on. According to the contents of reviews, we had 7 reviews of correlation of industrial worker and stress, 4 reviews of cause on the industrial worker’s stress and 1 case report. Conclusions : We reviewed the trends of Korean medical study on stress in the industrial worker. The stress in the industrial workers were related with the type of occupation, social psychology, drinking, smoking, the satisfaction of job, the harmony of organization.And we knew that the musculoskeletal pain was related to the industrial worker’s stress. In the future, abundant case studies, follow-up trials and RCTs should be done about the industrial worker’s stress.
Laparoscopic Choledochoduodenostomy in Complicated Conditions

Aims: Although the feasibility of biliary by-pass procedures for choledocholithiasis was decreased due to endoscopic or interventional treatment, it is still remained as an important treatment option in specific conditions. In era of laparoscopic surgery, laparoscopic choledochoduodenostomy(LCD) also was applied for difficult common bile duct stones (unresolved by ERCP or PTBD). The aim of this study was to analyze the outcomes of patients with complicated choledocholithiasis treated by laparoscopic choledochoduodenostomy. Methods: We reviewed our all LCDs done since 2015 in our hospital, documenting our preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative experience. A successful LCD was performed as a secondary treatment option on all 8 patients. Results: Four patients had previous episodes of gastrectomy and had been tried PTBD. Others had recurrent episode of choledocholithiasis even after multiple ERCP. We found female predominance (6/8), wide range of age (55-87 years), operative time (180-360min), median lengths of postoperative stay 10 (8- 30) days, and a median of 15 (1-35) months of follow-up. Only one patient had a postoperative leakage but spontaneously recovered. The hepatobiliary enzyme levels returned to normal in all of the patients. Conclusions: LCD with intraoperative cholangioscopic stone remove seems to be safe and effective treatment for patients with recurrent common bile duct stones failed by ERCP or PTBD. LCD is preferable biliary by-pass for choledocholithiasis and technically easier and faster. We suggest that this procedure can be a good option for patients with complicated conditions.

<P>Vertically aligned core-shell PbTiO3@TiO2 heterojunction nanotube arrays are fabricated on F:SnO2 (FTO) glass substrate via a unique three-step process: an electron beam vapor deposition of Ti thin film on FTO, anodic oxidation of the Ti film to TiO2 nanotubes, and finally formation of PbTiO3 perovskite layer at the inner wall of the TiO2 nanotubes. The PbTiO3@TiO2 nanotube array exhibits dramatically improved photoactivity relative to TiO2 nanotubes or PbTiO3/TiO2 composite powders in photoelectrochemical water splitting and photocatalytic isopropyl alcohol decomposition under visible light irradiation (>420 nm). In the core-shell heterojunction electrodes, PbTiO3 serves as a visible light responsive inorganic photosensitizer with its small band gap and forms a heterojunction with TiO2 for effective charge separation.</P>

Surface properties of gate insulators strongly affect the device performance of organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs). To improve the performance of OTFTs, we have developed photo-sensitive polyimide gate insulator with fluorine groups. The polyimide gate insulator film could be easily patterned by selective UV exposure without any photoinitiator. The polyimide gate insulator film, fabricated at 130<SUP>o</SUP>C, has a dielectric constant of 2.8 at 10kHz, and leakage current density of <1.6x10<SUP>-10</SUP>A/cm<SUP>2</SUP> while biased from 0 to 90V. To investigate the potential of the polyimide with fluorine groups as a gate insulator, we fabricated C<SUB>10</SUB>-BTBT TFTs. The field-effect mobility and the on/off current ratio of the TFTs were measured to be 0.76+/-0.09cm<SUP>2</SUP>/Vs and >10<SUP>6</SUP>, respectively.

<P>Radiation-induced skin injury can take the form of serious cutaneous damage and have specific characteristics. Asymptomatic periods are classified as the latent stage. The skin barrier plays a critical role in the modulation of skin permeability and hydration and protects the body against a harsh external environment. However, an analysis on skin barrier dysfunction against radiation exposure in the latent stage has not been conducted. Thus, we investigated whether the skin barrier is impaired by irradiation in the latent stage and aimed to identify the molecules involved in skin barrier dysfunction. We analyzed skin barrier function and its components in SKH1 mice that received 20 and 40 Gy local irradiation. Increased transepidermal water loss and skin pH were observed in the latent stage of the irradiated skin. Skin barrier components, such as structural proteins and lipid synthesis enzymes in keratinocyte, increased in the irradiated group. Interestingly, we noted sebaceous gland atrophy and increased serine protease and inflammatory cytokines in the irradiated skin during the latent period. This finding indicates that the main factor of skin barrier dysfunction in the latent stage of radiation-induced skin injury is sebaceous gland deficiency, which could be an intervention target for skin barrier impairment.</P>
북한 황강댐 운영에 따른 임진강 수계 하천유지유량 검토

본 연구는 북한 황강댐 운영으로 인한 임진강수계 기존댐 및 주요 수위관측소의 하천유지유량을 검토하고 하천유지유량 확보를 위한 방안을 제시하였다. 첫째, 임진강 수계의 일단위 관측자료롤 이용한 물수지분석 결과, 하천유량, 유역 유입량 및 댐 유출량이 타당하게 추정되었다. 둘째, 황강댐 운영 후 임진강 수계의 주요 수위 관측소의 흐름이 크게 감소하는 것으로 나타나 황강댐 운영이 남한 임진강 수계의 유량유입에 영향을 미쳤음을 확인하였다. 셋째, 임진강 수계의 하천유지유량 충족여부 분석 결과 모든 수위 관측소에서 하천유지유량이 지속적으로 충족되지 않는 것으로 확인되었다. 마지막으로 황강댐 운영으로 인해 하천유지유량의 총부족량과 부족기간이 각각 + 14,156% 및 16,800시간으로 증가했으므로, 황강댐 운영이 하천유지유량 부족의 주요 원인 중 하나로 분석되었다. 하처유지유량 확보를 위해 기존 댐 및 공유하천의 활용 계획을 제시하였다. 향후 중요성이 증가하는 하천유지유량을 확보하기 위해 다양한 장기적이고 계획된 방안들을 준비할 필요가 있다. This study evaluated the instream flow of the existing dams and major water-level stations in the Imjingang river basin by the operation of Hwanggang Dam in North Korea and proposed a solution for securing instream flows. First, stream flow, basin inflow, and dam releases were reasonably estimated by water balance analysis using daily averaged data in the Imjingang river basin. Second, streamflows at major water-level stations in the Imjingang river basin decreased significantly after the Hwaggang dam operation, which confirmed that the Hwanggang Dam in North Korea had a significant effect on the streamflows of the Imjingang river basin in South Korea. Third, the instream flow analysis for the Imjingang river basin confirmed that instream flows were not consistently satisfied in all water-level stations. Finally, the Hwanggang Dam operation was one of the main reasons for the lack of instream flow, since the total amount and period of shortage increased up to 14,156% and 16,800%, respectively after the Hwanggan dam operation. We then suggested how to utilize the existing dams and shared river basins to secure instream flow. In the future, various long-term and well-planned strategies would be needed.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>A direct internal reforming (DIR) reaction for a molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC) is carried out using SiO<SUB>2</SUB> supported catalysts, which are known to be a highly stable in catalytic reactions. The SiO<SUB>2</SUB> supported Ni catalysts rapidly deactivate in DIR-MCFC. To elucidate the mechanism of the catalyst deactivation, various characteristic analyses (XRD, BET, H<SUB>2</SUB>-chemisorption, FT-IR, and SEM) of calcined and used catalysts are employed. Fibrin Clot Delivery System for Meniscal Repair

As meniscal preservation particularly in younger active individuals with a symptomatic meniscal tear remains the preferred treatment option, various methods have been suggested to increase healing and success rates after meniscal repair. The recent increase in clinical use of platelet rich plasma has contributed to the increased use of fibrin clot, which virtually has the same healing property. However, despite the relative ease of acquisition and preparation of fibrin clots, delivering it to the desired target area arthroscopically is challenging. Therefore, we report with a pertinent literature review a novel method of planting a fibrin clot to the desired area of meniscal tear arthroscopically using our delivery system to enhance healing.
