3축 제어용 시뮬레이터의 로드 프로파일 재현 소프트웨어 개발

실제 운동조건과 같은 환경을 제공하는 다축 제어용 시뮬레이터는 설계나 평가에 있어 대단히 편리하면서도 경제적인 이점을 제공하여 준다. 일반적으로 완성차의 경우 설계에서부터 개발, 실험에 이르기까지 시간과 개발과정에 막대한 비용이 소모되고 있다. 그리고 자동차 부품업체에서는 완성차업체의 부품 검사서의 요구에 의해 시뮬레이터를 구비하고자 노력하고 있으나, 재현소프트웨어의 미비로 어려움을 겪고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문은 개발된 프로그램을 이용하여 기아자동차의 내구로(belgian road), 대우자동차의 도시로(city road), 고속도로(highway), 자갈로(gravel road)등의 신호를 입력하여 실제 실험을 수행함으로서 로드 프로파일 재현 소프트웨어의 타당성을 검증하였다. 이 과정에서 실험차량의 현가장치와 타이어가 비선형이기 때문에 초기 구동화일에 대한 응답신호는 요구되는 신호와 차이가 발생하였는데 이 오차는 반복 개선작업을 통하여 최소화시키면서 응답신호가 요구신호에 일치하도록 반복작업을 되풀이하였다. Full scale durability test in the laboratory is an essential of any fatigue life evaluation of components or structures of the automotive vehicle. Component testing is particularly important in today's highly competitive industries where the design to reduce weight and production costs must be balanced with the necessity to avoid expensive service failure. Generally, Hydraulic road simulator is used to carry out the fatigue test and the vibration test. In this paper, the algorithm and software to realize the real road profile are developed. The operation software for simultaneously controlled 3-axial simulator is developed and the input and output data are displayed window based PC controller in the real time. Futhermore, the software to generate the real road profile are developed. The validity of the software are verified by applying the belgian road, the city road the highway, and the gravel road. The results of the above experiment show that the real road profiles are realized well after 10th iteration. .

Objective : Our purpose was to make preparations of what for proper emergency care and delivery in order to improve maternal and fetal well-being. Methods : The study was undertaken for the clinical evaluation and statistical analysis on the patients with placenta previa who had been admitted and delivered at Soonchunhyang University Hospital from January, 1994 to May, 1998, retrospectively. Results : The incidence of placenta previa was 2.0%. Placenta previa has occurred more often in multigravida(92%) than primigravida(8%). Vaginal bleeding was most frequent(37.3%) presentation. The mean gestational age at the first bleeding episode was 31~35 weeks(46.4%). The type of placenta previa was totalis (31.3%), Partialis(18%), marginalis(32.7%), low lying(18%). Conclusion . This study indicates that the obstetrician and the pediatrician should be prepared for emergency care and delivery of the placenta previa patients, with the improvement of delivery room and neonatal intensive care unit.

In the present study, we examined the effects of caffeine on food intake and body weight, and pro-opiomelanocortin (POMC) and agouti-related protein (AgRP) expression in the hypothalamus. Rats were administered intraperitoneally with 100 mg/kg caffeine (a high, non-toxic dose) or saline during the light phase. Intraperitoneal administration of caffeine induced a significant reduction in food intake and body weight 12 hr after treatment. In addition, POMC expression was significantly increased and AgRP expression was decreased in the arcuate nucleus (Arc) after caffeine treatment. These results demonstrate that administration of caffeine up-regulates POMC expression and down-regulates AgRP expression in the Arc, suggesting that the activation of the hypothalamic POMC neurons and inhibition of the AgRP neurons might play a role in the regulation of food intake and body weight by caffeine.
Could Adjuvant Chemotherapy after Surgery Benefit Elderly Patients with Advanced Gastric Cancer?

Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate tolerance to adjuvant chemotherapy, and to compare survival between treatments using only surgery and using surgery with adjuvant chemotherapy, in elderly patients with advanced gastric cancer who were ${\geq}75years$ of age. Materials and Methods: Patients ${\geq}75years$ of age who were diagnosed with pathological stage II or III gastric cancer were identified retrospectively and categorized into the surgery only and surgery with adjuvant chemotherapy groups. Clinicopathological and survival data were compared between these two groups. Results: Among the 130 patients studied, 67 patients underwent curative surgery only, and 63 patients received adjuvant chemotherapy after curative surgery. In the latter group, adverse events were reported in 24 patients (38.1%). The treatments were discontinued in 19 patients (30.2%) owing to any reason. The overall 5-year survival rates of the surgery only and the surgery with adjuvant chemotherapy groups did not differ significantly (44.1% vs. 30.7%, respectively; P=0.804). Among 90 death events, deaths from recurrences of gastric cancer occurred in 42 patients. Multivariate analyses revealed that the American Society of Anesthesiologists score and the depths of tumor invasions were related to survival, and the addition of adjuvant chemotherapy after surgery did not influence survival. Conclusions: The decision for the addition of adjuvant chemotherapy for elderly patients should be taken after considering the condition of individual patients and their life expectancies.

<P>A NiO/GaN heterojunction piezoelectric generator was fabricated, and the improvement in device performance was analyzed. The electrical properties of NiO were varied by regulating the gas environment during sputtering. An optimized NiO layer was adopted for high piezoelectric voltage generation. Internal carrier screening was revealed to be the dominant mechanism degrading the piezoelectric performance, necessitating the suppression of carrier screening. The highly resistive NiO layer was advantageous in the suppression of carrier transport across the junction that screened the piezoelectric field. The maximum piezoelectric voltage and current density values obtained were 7.55 V and 1.14 <I>µ</I>A cm<SUP>−2</SUP>, respectively. The power obtained was sufficient to operate a light-emitting diode combined with a charging circuit.</P>
