For effective vacuum leak testing all cooling circuits serving the ITER vessel and in-vessel components shall be drained and dried so that after this procedure taking less than 100h the purge gas passing through a component has water content less than 100ppm. This process is four-stage, with the first stage using a short blast of compressed nitrogen to blow most of water in the coolant channels out of the circuit. This process is hindered by volumes which trap water due to gravity. To remove the trapped water, it is necessary, first, to heat up the structure by hot and compressed nitrogen, and then water is evaporated by depressurized nitrogen. The cooling system of the ITER Diagnostic Equatorial Port Plugs is of a complicated hydraulic configuration. The system branching might make difficult removal of water from the piping in the scheduled draining mode. The authors have proposed the KORSAR computation code to simulate draining of the GEPP cooling circuit. The numerical simulation performed has made it possible to describe the process dynamics during draining of the entire GEPP cooling circuit and to define the process time, amount and location of residual water and evolution of two-phase flow regime.

The rate of delayed hydride cracking (DHC), V, has been measured in cold-worked and stress-relieved Zircaloy-4 fuel cladding using the Pin-Loading Tension technique. At $250^{\circ}C$ the mean value of V from 69 specimens was $3.3({\pm}0.8)x10^{-8}$ m/s while the temperature dependence up to $275^{\circ}C$ was described by Aexp(-Q/RT), where Q is 48.3 kJ/mol. No cracking or cracking at very low rates was observed at higher temperatures. The fracture surface consisted of flat fracture with no striations. The results are compared with previous results on fuel cladding and pressure tubes.

Ultramicrotomy was used to prepare a cross-section of shell-like amorphous SiO2 spherical particle synthesized by the multistage Stöber method which allowed performing first direct observations of the hierarchical structure of the SiO2 particle by transmission and scanning electron microscopy. The presence of primary, secondary and tertiary particles forming the inner structure of SiO2 spheres was established. The use of the small angle scattering of neutrons and synchrotron radiation techniques has enabled to define the size of the primary particles, the fractal parameters of their surface and the bulk density of the SiO2 spheres.

The neutron capture and total cross-sections of 232Th were measured in the neutron energy range from 10 eV to 10 keV by using the neutron time-of- ight method at the IBR-30 pulsed neutron booster of JINR in Dubna. The gamma rays originating from neutron capture were detected by 16 sections of liquid scintillator located at a distance of 121 m from the neutron source. The neutron detector in the form of a battery of three boron counters inserted into a polyethylene disc was placed in the neutron beam line at 124 cm from the neutron source. Two plates of metallic thorium with a total thickness of 0.2 mm and with an area of 4.5 4.5 cm2 were used as a radiator sample. The U3O8 powder with 238U (99.999 %) contained in a aluminium cylinder with a thickness of 2 mm and with an inner diameter of 46 mm served as a standard radiator sample. The group average capture and total cross-sections were extracted from the time-of- ight spectra and compared with values obtained by using the GRUCON code based on the evaluated data libraries ENDF/B-VI and JENDL-3.
Probiotic Bacillus amyloliquefaciens B-1895 Improved Growth of Juvenile Trout

The aim of this study was to evaluate a new Bacillus amyloliquefaciens B- 1895 probiotic as a feed additive for farmed trout. Final weight, absolute and average daily gain of fish, and average daily growth rate were higher in the group that received the probiotic than in the control group (p<0.05). Moreover, the probiotic-fed trout had more intense growth rates than the control group (higher by 15.7%; p<0.05). A decrease in feed ratio was also observed in the group that received probiotic (25% decrease; p<0.05), indicating more efficient digestion and assimilation of feed. In general, the introduction of probiotic in the feed did not adversely affect the functional status of the fish. In young trout of the control group, when assessing the general chemical composition of the organism in the muscle tissue revealed significantly (p≤0.001) higher level of moisture content by 5.1% and lower by 11.0% dry matter content. In muscle, the protein content was higher by 1.33% (p≤0.001) and fat content by 2.1% (p≤0.001) in experimental fish. Generally, Lactobacilli, Enterococcus, Vibrio, Bacillus, and coliform bacteria were found in the intestinal samples of rainbow trout. Significant reliable difference (p≤0.05) between the samples of experimental and control groups was noted in the content of Bacillus bacteria. In the control group, 5.0±0.4×103 CFU/g was detected, while in the experimental group 8.4±0.8×104 CFU/g. Overall, the data indicate that probiotic bacteria B. amyloliquefaciens B-1895 has no adverse effect on selected microorganisms in the study fish.
Genome sequence of a white rot fungus Schizopora paradoxa KUC8140 for wood decay and mycoremediation

Schizopora paradoxa KUC8140 is a white rot wood degrader commonly found in Korea. Tolerance to heavy metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and dye decolorization activity make this strain a potential candidate for mycoremediation. We report the genome sequence of S. paradoxa KUC8140 containing 44.4Mbp. Based on ab initio gene prediction, homology search and RNA-seq, total 17,098 gene models were annotated. We identified 17 lignin-modifying peroxidases and other 377 carbohydrate-active enzymes for modeling lignocellulose deconstruction and mycoremediation.
