Background: To give a comparative evaluation of the parameters of exercise test (ET) in conjunction with the heart rate variability (HRV) in patients with CAD, with CHD and AH and only AH. Methods: 80 pts were included in the study, which was 51,76 ± 9,65 years (range 25 to 73 years), of which 49 (61.25%) - males. All patients were examined: the calculation of body mass index (BMI), the HRV parameters. Results: The pts of 2gr. characterized by relatively high values of body weight = 82,45 ± 10,15 kg, 3.07% and 7.57% more than 1gr. and 3gr. (BMI in 1gr. = 28,80 ± 3,95 kg/m2; in 2gr. = 29,83 ± 3,25 kg/m2; in 3gr. = 27,51 ± 3,89 kg/m2). HRV parameters confi rmed the results, SDNN, rMSSD, pNN50 and TI had the lowest values in patients 3gr. Spectral indices point to the prevalence of low-frequency spectrum of HRV (LF / HF = 4,47 ± 2,97, which is 1.4 and 1.7 times higher than in groups 1 and 2, p <0.05. However, analysis of exercise capacity revealed that patients of 3gr. had high exercise capacity at 37.5%, against 33.3% and 15%, respectively, 1 and 2 groups, with an average exercise capacity - 50% vs. 58% and 80%, respectively, in groups 1 and 2, and low exercise capacity - in 12.5% versus 8.3% and 5%, respectively, in groups 1 and 2 (all p> 0.05). Conclusions: Patients with AH during the exercise test, despite of a relatively high tolerance to physical activity and relatively low weights, characterized by autonomic imbalance with a predominance of sympathetic activity of the autonomic nervous system.

This article offers the ways to achieve adequate codification of taxonomy the Russian conjunctions in the thesaurus's entries. To achieve the object of the topic, there have been solved following problems: 1) the reasons of wrong codifications of the Russian conjunctions in the Russian thesaurus are being established; 2) ways of formation of the derivative conjunctions are revealed; 3) structural types of Russian unions are identified; 4) elements of attributes of the Russian conjunctions in the entry are being established.

Background: To compare clinical and functional patients with isolated right heart dilatation (RVDC) depending on the presence or absence of pulmonary hypertension (PH). Methods: We examined 22 patients who had DC with a primary lesion of the right heart (17 - females, 5 - males). All performed: blood examination, ECG, echocardiography with determination of ejection fraction (EF) of the right ventricle (RV) and the mean pulmonary artery pressure (MPAP), 6-minute walk test (6MWT) and external respiration parameters. Results: According to general clinical laboratory data analyzed differences in the groups have been identified. Noted a relative increase in the level of Hb levels in pts of 1gr., amounting to 135,7 ± 14,6 g / l vs 2gr. = 120,2 ± 23,7 g / l (p> 0.05). Data of 6MWT showed 201,8 ± 86,1 m in 1gr. vs 163,2 ± 60,4 m in 2 gr. respectively. Nevertheless, according to spirometry patients with PH have lower VC (1gr.= 63 5 ± 16,5 l and 2gr. = 67,7 ± 6,3 l), all p> 0.05. The echocardiography parameters of 1gr. : EDV = 90,5 ± 41,6 ml, ESV = 27,5 ± 12,6 ml, that on 26.8% and 29.1%, respectively, were more of similar indicators of 2 gr, with LVEF in 1gr. = 68,9 ± 6,3% and in 2gr. = 69,6 ± 9,6% (all p> 0.05).RV of 1 gr.=55,2±9,7 and RV of 2 gr.=51,3±7,3. RA of 1 gr.=56,7±15,7 RA of 2 gr. = 47,8 ± 9,4; RV EF in 1gr. = 35,7 ± 8,2 that on 9.2% was lower than in 2gr. Conclusions: Patients with RVDC and the presence of LH characterized by elevated levels of Hb, lower VC and RVEF despite of more good parameters of 6MWT.
Self‐Assembled, Molecularly Aligned Conjugated Polymer Nanowires via Dewetting

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>High aspect‐ratio poly(9,9′‐dioctylfluorene) (F8) nanowires are fabricated on top of silicon/amorphous Teflon substrates, by dewetting of F8 thin‐films. The conjugated nature of the polymers enables the self‐assembly of continuous molecularly‐aligned nanowires of several micrometers in length and tens of nanometers width, without using a template. The sizescale of the dewetted morphology can be controlled by varying the thickness of the F8 and amorphous Teflon layers. As predicted by van der Waals theory the characteristic sizescale of the dewetted morphology increases with F8 film thickness. However, the dependence of the characteristic sizescale on amorphous Teflon thickness is not accounted for, even qualitatively, by standard spinodal theory with van der Waals forces as the de‐stabilizing force across the F8 film. The Rayleigh instability is strongly suppressed in the F8 nanowires in the late stages of dewetting, compared to isotropic, amorphous polymers. Polarized Raman measurements show a systematic increase in molecular alignment along the axis of the nanowires as their width is reduced below the typical liquid‐crystalline domain size in polyfluorene films. Thus the dewetting process aligns the polymers, and the aligned polymers suppress the Rayleigh instability and enable the formation of high aspect‐ratio continuous nanowires.</P>

Objective: To investigate changes in the median nerve, retinaculum, and carpal tunnel on ultrasound after successful endoscopic carpal tunnel release (ECTR). Materials and Methods: This prospective study involved 37 wrists in 35 patients (5 male, 30 female; mean age ± standard deviation [SD], 56.9 ± 6.7 years) with primary carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). An in-house developed scoring system (0–3) was used to gauge the clinical improvement after ECTR. Ultrasound was performed before ECTR, and at 1, 3, and 12 months post-ECTR. Changes in the median nerve, flexor retinaculum, and carpal tunnel morphology on ultrasound after ECTR were analyzed. Ultrasound parameters for different clinical improvement groups were compared. Results: All patients improved clinically after ECTR. The average clinical improvement score ± SD at 12 months post-ECTR was 2.2 ± 0.7. The median nerve cross-sectional area proximal and distal to the tunnel decreased at all time intervals post- ECTR but remained swollen compared to normal values. Serial changes in the median nerve caliber and retinacular bowing after ECTR were more pronounced at the tunnel outlet than at the tunnel inlet. The flexor retinaculum had reformed in 25 (68%) of 37 wrists after 12 months. Conclusion: Postoperative changes in median nerve and retinaculum parameters were most pronounced at the tunnel outlet. Even in patients with clinical improvement after ECTR, nearly all ultrasound parameters remain abnormal at one year post- ECTR. These ultrasound parameters should not necessarily be relied upon to diagnose persistent CTS after ECTR.
