Bearing fault diagnosis of wind turbines based on dynamic multi-adversarial adaptive network

        Miao Tian,Xiaoming Su,Changzheng Chen,Yuanqing Luo,Xianming Sun 대한기계학회 2023 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.37 No.4

Owing to the shortage of available labeled data on wind turbine bearings, a new wind turbine bearing fault diagnosis method based on a dynamic multi-adversarial adaptive network (DMAAN) was proposed. In this new method, a laboratory data were used to obtain fault diagnosis models for wind turbine bearings. The first step was evaluating the interdomain distribution difference and intraclass distribution differences between domains. The second step was setting a dynamic adversarial factor to dynamically measure the relative contribution of the two different distributions. The last step was, reducing the distribution difference through multiple adversarial training, to obtain the diagnosis results. The validity of DMAAN was verified via the transfer experiments of laboratory datasets and wind turbine generator measured datasets. The results showed that DMAAN has a higher diagnostic accuracy and better transmission capability in cross-machine transfer fault diagnosis in compare with the existing methods.

An Improved MMC Control Strategy with Single-Phase to Ground Fault-Tolerance Capability

        Huiyu Miao,Jun Mei,Jianyong Zheng,Chenyu Zhang,Chao Zhu,Tian Ma,Fei Mei 대한전기학회 2016 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.11 No.5

In this paper, an improved modular multilevel converter (MMC) control strategy based on one-cycle control (OCC) is proposed. With the introduction of OCC, the stability, rapidity and disturbance rejection of MMC is greatly improved. Based on the volt-second equilibrium, the control is distributed to every single submodule (SM). For further stability, an unbalanced OCC strategy is designed based on feed-forward control for negative sequence voltage with no need for measuring the positive and negative current sequence, considering single phase to ground fault and the second harmonic ripples of the DC voltage. As the switch frequency of every SM is different, the virtual loop mapping is used in this paper to balance the capacitor voltage with less hardware dependence. And a new simplified structure is also proposed with RS flip-flop abandoned. At last, simulation and experiment results prove the validity of the control theory.

Preparation of moso bamboo columnar activated carbon with high adsorption property via polyacrylamide@asphalt adhesives and steam activation

        Liu Huan,Miao Yu,Tian Huayu,Chen Yishan,Wang Enfu,Huang Jingda,Zhang Wenbiao 한국탄소학회 2024 Carbon Letters Vol.34 No.3

Moso bamboo, as a kind of renewable functional material, exhibits outstanding development potential. It is promising to prepare activated carbon with good mechanical strength and high specific surface area using moso bamboo as raw material. In this work, we employed a hydraulic extruder to extrude the bamboo charcoal and the adhesive to obtain the moso bamboo activated carbon, and improved the specific surface area of the columnar activated carbon through high-temperature water vapor activation. Through the catalytic role of the water vapor activation process, the formation and expansion of the pores were promoted and the internal pores were greatly increased. The obtained columnar activated carbon shows excellent mechanical strength (93%) and high specific surface area (791.54 m2/g). Polyacrylamide@asphalt is one of the most effective adhesives in the high-temperature water vapor activation. The average pore size (22.99 nm) and pore volume (0.36 cm3/g) of the prepared columnar activated carbon showed a high mesoporous ratio (83%). Based on the excellent pore structure brought by the activation process, the adsorption capacity of iodine (1135.75 mg/g), methylene blue (230 mg/g) and carbon tetrachloride (64.03 mg/g) were greatly improved. The resultant moso bamboo columnar activated carbon with high specific surface area, excellent mechanical properties, and outstanding adsorption capacity possesses a wide range of industrial applications and environmental protection potential.

Structure and electrical properties of Pr6O11-doped CaCu3Ti4O12 NTC ceramics

        Zuo Yang,Tian Jian,Tian Yuxin,Miao Guangtan,Fu Peng 한국세라믹학회 2023 한국세라믹학회지 Vol.60 No.3

The xPr6O11–(1 − x)CaCu3Ti4O12 (CCTO) ceramics with perovskite structure were prepared by the solid-state reaction method. The effects of Pr 6O11 addition on the microstructure and electrical properties of the CCTO ceramics were studied. The addition of Pr 6O11 promoted the sintering of CCTO ceramics, and the mean grain sizes increased gradually from 2.13 to 5.08 μm with increasing Pr 6O11 content. All the samples had noticeable negative temperature coefficient (NTC) effect, and both the grain and grain boundary effects contributed to their NTC characteristics. The thermistor characteristic parameter B25/75 decreased from 6883 to 5291 K as Pr 6O11 contents increased from 0.00 to 0.08. The analysis shows that the conductivity of Pr 6O11–CCTO ceramics arises mainly from the electron hopping transport mechanism. The GB resistances are noticeably higher than grain resistances at the same Pr 6O11 content. All the samples showed electrical relaxation behavior. The above observations indicate that the structures and electrical properties of CCTO ceramics can be attuned precisely by adjusting the Pr 6O11 concentration.

Whole Exome Sequencing in the Male Breast Cancer with Prolactinoma: A Case Report and Literature Review

        Shuai Hao,Miao Huang,Wuguo Tian,Yi Chen,Jianjie Zhao,Donglin Luo 한국유방암학회 2020 Journal of breast cancer Vol.23 No.6

Male breast cancer (MBC) is rare and accounts for approximately 1% of all breast cancer cases worldwide. Previous studies have suggested that several factors significantly increase the risk of MBC. Prolactinoma has the highest incidence rate among patients with functional pituitary tumors. However, whether prolactinoma is involved in the onset and progression of breast cancer remains unclear. To date, there are only five case reports globally on MBC with concurrent prolactinoma. We hereby describe the first case of MBC with prolactinoma in China. We also explored the patient's genetic profile using whole exome sequencing. Our findings may help advance our understanding of the molecular pathogenesis of MBC. Further molecular analyses of such cases are warranted to improve auxiliary molecular diagnostic methods and targeted therapy for MBC.

Expression of DNA Damage Response Proteins and Associations with Clinicopathologic Characteristics in Chinese Familial Breast Cancer Patients with BRCA1/2 Mutations

        Xinyi Zhu,Tian Tian,Miao Ruan,Jia Rao,Wentao Yang,Xu Cai,Menghong Sun,Guangqi Qin,Zhonghua Zhao,Jiong Wu,Zhimin Shao,Ruohong Shui,Zhen Hu 한국유방암학회 2018 Journal of breast cancer Vol.21 No.3

Purpose: The characteristic expression of DNA damage response proteins in familial breast cancers with BRCA1, BRCA2, or non-BRCA1/2 mutations has not been analyzed in Chinese patients. Our study aimed to assess the differential expression of microcephalin 1 (BRIT1), ATM serine/threonine kinase (ATM), checkpoint kinase 2 (CHEK2), BRCA1, RAD51 recombinase (RAD51), and poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase 1 (PARP-1) and establish the profile of Chinese familial breast cancers with different mutation status. Methods: We constructed five tissue microarrays from 183 familial breast cancer patients (31 with BRCA1 mutations; 14 with BRCA2 mutations, and 138 with non-BRCA1/2 mutations). The DNA response and repair markers used for immunohistochemistry analysis included BRIT1, ATM, CHEK2, BRCA1, RAD51, and PARP-1. The expressions of these proteins were analyzed in BRCA1/2 mutated tumors. The association between pathologic characteristics with BRCA1/2 mutation status was also analyzed. Results: In familial breast cancer patients, BRCA1 mutated tumors were more frequent with high nuclear grade, estrogen receptor/progesterone receptor/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 negative, low Ki-67, and positive CK5/6. BRCA1 mutated tumors had lower CHEK2 and higher cytoplasmic BRIT1 expression than BRCA2 and non-BRCA1/2 mutation tumors. BRCA2-associated tumors showed higher CHEK2 and cytoplasmic RAD51 expression than those in other groups. Nuclear PARP-1 expression in BRCA1/2-associated tumors was significantly higher than in non-BRCA1/2 mutation tumors. Moreover, we found quite a few of negative PARP-1 expression cases in BRCA1/2 mutated groups. Conclusion: The clinicopathologic findings of BRCA1-associated Chinese familial breast cancers were similar to the results of other studies. Chinese familial breast cancer patients with BRCA1/2 mutations might have distinctive expression of different DNA damage response proteins. The reduced expression of PARP-1 in Chinese BRCA1/2 mutated breast cancer patients could influence the therapeutic outcome of PARP-1 inhibitors.

miR-29 family inhibited the proliferation and migration of lung cancer cells by targeting SREBP-1

        Lin Lin,Bao Yongxia,Tian Miao,Ren Qiu,Zhang Wei 대한독성 유전단백체 학회 2022 Molecular & cellular toxicology Vol.18 No.2

Backgrounds Lipid metabolism dysregulation is an important characteristic of tumor cells. Increased lipid metabolism provides a vital material and energy source for tumor growth, thereby promoting tumor invasion and metastasis. Objectives In the current work, we carried out a series of in vivo and in vitro studies to explore the relationship between miR-29 and lung cancer. Results The results showed that miR-29 was down-regulated in lung cancer, and overexpression of miR-29 inhibited the proliferation and migration of lung cancer cells (in vitro). Anti-lung cancer effect of miR-29 in vivo was evaluated, and results indicated that transfection of miR-29b/c markedly inhibited lung tumor growth (in vivo). We further explored the potential mechanism by which miR-29 could inhibit the cell proliferation of lung cancer. It is well known that lipid metabolism dysregulation is an important characteristic of tumor cells. Increased lipid metabolism provides a vital material and energy source for tumor growth, thereby promoting tumor invasion and metastasis, and sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1 (SREBP) is involved in liposome metabolism. Therefore, we analyzed the interaction between miR-29C and SREBP-1 in lung cancer cells. Bioinformatics analysis showed that the miR-29 has the potential binding site on SCAP and SREBP mRNA, and Luciferase reporter gene assays revealed the interaction between 3′UTR of SREBP-1 mRNA and miR-29c. Further study showed that miR-29 suppressed (SREBP-1) expression by interacting with 3′UTR of SREBP-1. Further work indicated that miR-29 transfection strongly inhibited lung cancer cell proliferation, which was rescued by the overexpression of SREBP-1. Conclusion These fi ndings demonstrate that transfection of miR-29 suppressed lung cancer proliferation via inhibiting SREBP-1 expression. The current study provides a basis for exploring the targeted agents against lung cancer.

Efficacy and Safety Profile of Combining Sorafenib with Chemotherapy in Patients with HER2-Negative Advanced Breast Cancer: A Meta-analysis

        Jie Chen,Chun-Xiang Tian,Miao Yu,Qing Lv,Nan-Sheng Cheng,Zu Wang,Xi Wu 한국유방암학회 2014 Journal of breast cancer Vol.17 No.1

Purpose: The aim of the study was to evaluate the efficacy andsafety of combining sorafenib with chemotherapy in patients withhuman epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative advancedbreast cancer. Methods: MEDLINE, EMBASE, CochraneCentral Register of Controlled Trials, American Society for ClinicalOncology abstracts, and European Society for Medical Oncologyabstracts were searched. Randomized clinical trials that comparedthe efficacy and safety of sorafenib plus chemotherapy inpatients with HER2-negative advanced breast cancer with placeboplus chemotherapy were eligible. The endpoints were progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), time to progression(TTP), duration of response (DOR), overall response rate(ORR), clinical benefits, and adverse effects. The meta-analysiswas performed using Review Manager 5.2.6 (The Nordic CochraneCentre), and the fixed-effect model weighted by the Mantel-Haenszel method was used. When considerable heterogeneitywas found (p<0.1), further analysis (subgroup analysis, sensitivityanalysis, or random-effect model) was performed to identifythe potential cause. The results are expressed as hazard ratios orrisk ratios, with their corresponding 95% confidence intervals. Results: The final analysis included four trials comprising 844 patients. The results revealed longer PFS and TTP, and higher ORRand clinical benefit rates in patients receiving sorafenib combinedwith chemotherapy compared to those receiving chemotherapyand placebo. OS and DOR were similar in the two groups. Meanwhile, the incidence of some adverse effects, including hand-footskin reaction/hand-foot syndrome, diarrhea, rash, and hypertension, were significantly higher in the sorafenib arm. Conclusion:Sorafenib combined with chemotherapy may prolong PFS andTTP. This treatment was associated with manageable toxicities, but frequent dose interruptions and reductions were required.
