        21세기는 지식 정보화와 병행하여 문화의 세기가 될 것으로 예견된다. 문화상품의 고부가가치를 창출하기 위하여 영동군이 보유하고 있는 국악 인프라와 연계하여 국가 문화산업의 전략적 우위를 도모하고 전통문화의 전승과 발전에 일익을 담당코저 한다. 난계 박연 선생의 탄생지인 심천면 고당리 일원에 국악을 테마로 하는 체험촌 조성이 필요하였다. 영동군에서는 한국의 정신세계를 재조명하고 전통문화에 대한 이해와 접근이 용이한 관광자원으로 국악체험촌을 건립하여 관광명소를 육성하고자 한다. The 21st century is predicted to be the century of knowledge and information and culture. To create high value of cultural goods, in conjunction with Korean Classical Music infrastructures which Yeongdong County has, this proposal was planning to be contributed to the development of traditional culture and folklore. Yeongdong County revisited in the spirit world and build an understanding of Korea and Experience Music Village with easy access to the traditional culture and tourist resources and to foster the attractions.

        커뮤니티 도서관의 사용자 중심 공간 구성에 관한 연구

        The rapid development of information technology makes people"s lifestyles constantly changing, bringing great changes to the library building. As a product of the development of public libraries, community libraries have an important impact on community cohesion and revitalization through providing targeted learning and leisure services to residents. Under the trend of social and community development, the community library"s user-centered space must adapt to the diverse needs of community users and make the self-improvement. First of all, this study summarizes the concept of community and community libraries through literature review, and then make a theoretical investigation on the composition of user-centered space. Finally this study bases on the cases of community library buildings in the United States and Britain, and initially explores the composition of user-centered space in these libraries, and then analyzes and summarizes the architectural characteristics of it. Exploring how community can be activated and cohesive through community libraries user-centered space. Hope that this study can provide some reference to the contemporary community library design.

        Contextual Bag-of-Words for Visual Categorization

        <P>Bag-of-words (BOW), which represents an image by the histogram of local patches on the basis of a visual vocabulary, has attracted intensive attention in visual categorization due to its good performance and flexibility. Conventional BOW neglects the contextual relations between local patches due to its Naïve Bayesian assumption. However, it is well known that contextual relations play an important role for human beings to recognize visual categories from their local appearance. This paper proposes a novel contextual bag-of-words (CBOW) representation to model two kinds of typical contextual relations between local patches, i.e., a semantic conceptual relation and a spatial neighboring relation. To model the semantic conceptual relation, visual words are grouped on multiple semantic levels according to the similarity of class distribution induced by them, accordingly local patches are encoded and images are represented. To explore the spatial neighboring relation, an automatic term extraction technique is adopted to measure the confidence that neighboring visual words are relevant. Word groups with high relevance are used and their statistics are incorporated into the BOW representation. Classification is taken using the support vector machine with an efficient kernel to incorporate the relational information. The proposed approach is extensively evaluated on two kinds of visual categorization tasks, i.e., video event and scene categorization. Experimental results demonstrate the importance of contextual relations of local patches and the CBOW shows superior performance to conventional BOW.</P>

      • Forest Fire Monitoring Based on Mixed Wireless Sensor Networks

        Forest fires can be fatal threats. Motivated by the need to detect fire early and locate forest fires clearly, in this paper, we propose a paradigm called the forest fire monitoring paradigm (FFMP). The purpose of the FFMP is for forest fire early detection and locating based on mixed wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Different from pure static and mobile WSNs, mixed WSNs are composed of both mobile sensor nodes and static sensor nodes. Mixed WSNs are a tradeoff between cost and coverage. In the FFMP, the mobile sensor nodes perform as cluster heads and they will construct a backbone network in which the mobile sensor nodes can connect with their neighbors and be capable of transmitting data to the base station. Each static sensor node chooses one neighboring mobile sensor node as its cluster head and uploads the generated messages to the cluster head. The mobile sensor nodes then fuses the information and transfers the fusion results to the base station, where the data were further processed to obtain the temperature distribution graph and locate the fires. The simulation illustrates that our approach performs well in early forest fire detection and locating. In addition, our approach can significantly prolong the lifetime of WSNs.

        Comparison of Grain Quality Traits between Japonica Rice Cultivars from Korea and Yunnan Province of China

        Improving eating quality is one of the most important objectives in japonica rice breeding programs in Yunnan Province of China. Eating quality and its relevant traits of nine Korean and 11 Yunnan rice cultivars were comparatively analyzed in this study. The grain shape of most Yunnan japonica rice cultivars have a relatively slender shape and are slightly larger than Korean rice cultivars. Palatability value of cooked rice of Yunnan rice cultivars was significantly lower, while the protein content of Yunnan rice cultivars was significantly higher than that of Korean cultivars. Peak viscosity and breakdown viscosity of the Yunnan rice cultivars were significantly lower, while setback viscosity of the Yunnan rice cultivars was significantly higher than in Korean rice cultivars. Palatability value of cooked rice was negatively correlated with protein content and setback viscosity but positively correlated with peak viscosity, breakdown viscosity, and cool paste viscosity. Through multiple linear regression analysis, an equation for estimating palatability value (PV) of cooked rice based on quality traits was generated as dependent only upon protein content (PC), PV=139.024-(10.865×PC) with an R² value of 0.822. The results suggest that reducing protein contents should be the major target in improving eating quality of Yunnan japonica rice cultivars through integrated approaches of both cultivar development and appropriate cultural practices. Genetic similarities among cultivars based on DNA markers which had been identified as associated with grain quality seemed not to be directly related to PV.       • A Reliable Information Fusion Algorithm for Reputation Based Wireless Sensor Networks

        In wireless sensor networks (WSNs), cryptographic primitives alone cannot provide a sufficient solution to the secure information fusion problem, therefore reputation systems have been introduced into WSNs. In a cluster, each sensor node has a single reputation value that is evaluated by the other sensor nodes in the same cluster. In this paper, we propose a novel, reliable information fusion algorithm, called reputation-driven information fusion (RDIF). In this work, a clustering algorithm is employed to divide all of the sensor nodes into many clusters. Then, a reputation system is established for each cluster, and an information fusion algorithm driven by reputation values is performed by the cluster head. In addition to the sensor nodes’ reputation values, we also consider the values of the readings collected by the sensor nodes and eliminate the outliers before fusing information. The simulation results show that RDIF can improve the reliability and accuracy of fusion results significantly when some compromised nodes appear in the WSNs.

        Functionally gradient chitosan/hydroxyapatite composite scaffolds for controlled drug release

        <P>This study explored the potential of chitosan/hydroxyapatite (HA) composites to act as a controlled drug delivery system by developing functional scaffolds with a gradient of structure and drug concentration. Firstly, a porous composite scaffold was prepared and tetracycline hydrochloride (TCH) was impregnated in the scaffold as a model drug. The pore size of the scaffold was negatively dependent on the HA content and ranged about 40–250 μm. Subsequently, a porous chitosan/HA composite layer without drug was coated on the scaffold to create a gradient drug concentration in the specimen. The in vitro drug-release test demonstrated that the porous layer without drug on the outer surface of the scaffold significantly reduced the initial burst of drug release and extended the release period. Finally, a successive and dense chitosan/HA composite layer endowed the scaffold with a sustained, drug-release pattern without any initial drug burst. These findings confirmed the high effectiveness of the hybrid scaffolds in regulating the release of drugs, and hence their capability to serve as a temporary drug carrier in tissue regeneration. These functional scaffolds also have potential application to the delivery of some bioactive molecules such as growth factors. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.         The Evolution of China’s Security Concept: From Responding to Shaping

        The year of 2012 should be the milestone in the evolution of China’s security concept. It seems to the outside world that China has changed its security concept and adopted an assertive attitude towards its neighboring countries and the United States in safeguarding national interests. To some extent, the clear-cut security concept in recent years has made worrisome response from relevant countries. Action and counter-action among these countries have already impacted on the evolution of security situation in this region. How can we view these changes in China’s security concept? What is its implication on the future region system construction? Can the re-balancing strategy by the United States get the anticipated result? This paper will give a study on these issues.
