        〈アジア〉 への回歸-大東亞共榮圈とアジア連合-

        This paper aims to explain the structure of Yabe Teiji's discourse on Asia in the wartime and postwar. Three points will be demonstrated throughout my analysis. (1) Yabe's discourse on Asia in the postwar was a transformation of the theory of "Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere" in the wartime. (2) In the postwar Yabe succeeded to the theory of "Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere" critically, He advocated constructing the "Asian Union". Although the discourse was critical of the Cold War system, it was not completely free from that system, but rather tended to get involved in that environment. (3) Ultimately, Yabe advocated the discourse of "developmentalism", but his discourse was proposed as the theory of "Asian Union". Therefore, Yabe's discourse of " developmentalism" was like the theory of "Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere" and it was linked to the Cold War regime. 본고는 야베 테이지(矢部貞治, 1902~1967)의 전시기(戦時期)와 전후(戦後)에 있어서의 아시아 언설 구조를 해독하고자 한 것이다. 본고에서는 이하의 3가지를 분명히 하고싶다. (1) 전후에 있어서의 야베의 아시아 언설은 전시기의 ‘대동아공영권(大東亜共栄圏)’론이 변형된 것이었다. (2) 전후에 있어서 야베는 ‘대동아공영권’론을 비판적으로 계승하여, ‘아시아연합(アジア連合)’론을 주창했다. 그 언설은 냉전 체계에 비판적이면서도, 그곳에서 완전히 자유롭지 않고 오히려 그 환경에 말려드는 경향이 있었다. (3) 최종적으로 야베는 ‘개발주의(開発主義)’ 언설을 주장했지만, 그 언설은 ‘아시아 연합’론으로서 제창되고 있었다. 그 때문에 야베의 ‘개발주의’ 언설은 ‘대동아공영권’론적이고, 냉전체제와 밀접한 관계가 있는 것이었다.

        This paper aims to explain an aspect of Political Idea in the Meiji era by analyzing their thought of UEKI Emori and KATO Hiroyuki. Three points will be demonstrated throughout the analysis.(1)Their thought involved the logic which affirms both Universal Community and state;(2) Their idea was formed by the influence of Johann Caspar Bluntschli(1808-81);(3)Their vision in the Meiji era directed the inner structure in modern Japan on the Political Idea.

        본고는 야베 테이지(矢部貞治, 1902~1967)의 전시기(戰時期)와 전후(戰後)에 있어서의 아시아 언설 구조를 해독하고자 한 것이다. 본고에서는 이하의 3가지를 분명히 하고싶다. (1) 전후에 있어서의 야베의 아시아 언설은 전시기의 ‘대동아공영권(大東亞共榮圈)’론이 변형된 것이었다.       • Development of a Prototype Mobile Robot for Mallard Navigation

        This paper presents a mobile robot prototype used for mallard navigation in a paddy field. One shortcoming of rice-duck farming is that a flock of mallards tends to gather in a specific area that produces a spring pond. This study was designed to develop a prototype of an autonomous mobile robot that guides a mallard flock to achieve highly efficient rice-duck farming. We developed a robot and waterproof boxes used for the protection of electric devices, including motors. The robot body is 270 mm long, 210 mm wide, and 250 mm high. Its body width is less than the length between rice stalks. After checking the waterproof capability for the body waterproof box, we conducted an indoor driving test for manual operation. Moreover, we conducted an outdoor evaluation tests to assess running on a gravel road and on a snowy road. We evaluated the robot performance not only for uneven surface roads including steps, but also for the range of wireless communication for controlling the robot.

      • Effectiveness of en-masse retraction using midpalatal miniscrews and a modified transpalatal arch

        Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare the treatment duration and dentoskeletal changes between two different anchorage systems used to treat maxillary dentoalveolar protrusion and to examine the effectiveness of en-masse retraction using two miniscrews placed in the midpalatal suture. Methods: Fifty-seven patients (9 men, 48 women), who had undergone level anchorage system treatment at Aichi-Gakuin University Dental Hospital (Nagoya, Japan) were divided into two groups according to the method of maxillary posterior anchorage reinforcement: midpalatal miniscrews (25 patients, mean age 22 years) and conventional anchorage (32 patients, mean age 19 years). The en-masse retraction period, overall treatment duration, pre-treatment effective ANB angle, and change in the effective ANB angle were compared with an independent-samples t -test. Results: Compared to the headgear group, the duration of en-masse retraction was longer by approximately 4 months in the miniscrew group (p < 0.001). However, we found no significant difference in the total treatment duration between the groups. Moreover, a greater change in the effective ANB angle was observed in patients treated with miniscrews than in those treated with the conventional method (p < 0.05). Conclusions: The level anchorage system treatment using miniscrews placed in the midpalatal area will allow orthodontists more time to control the anterior teeth during enmasse retraction, without increasing the total treatment duration. Furthermore, it achieves better dentoskeletal control than does the conventional anchorage method, thereby improving the quality of the treatment results.

      • Inhibition of GluR Current in Microvilli of Sensory Neurons via Na <sup>+</sup> -Microdomain Coupling Among GluR, HCN Channel, and Na <sup>+</sup> /K <sup>+</sup> Pump

        <P>Glutamatergic dendritic EPSPs evoked in cortical pyramidal neurons are depressed by activation of hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated (HCN) channels expressed in dendritic spines. This depression has been attributed to shunting effects of HCN current (<I>I</I><SUB>h</SUB>) on input resistance or <I>I</I><SUB>h</SUB> deactivation. Primary sensory neurons in the rat mesencephalic trigeminal nucleus (MTN) have the somata covered by spine-like microvilli that express HCN channels. In rat MTN neurons, we demonstrated that <I>I</I><SUB>h</SUB> enhancement apparently diminished the glutamate receptor (GluR) current (<I>I</I><SUB>GluR</SUB>) evoked by puff application of glutamate/AMPA and enhanced a transient outward current following <I>I</I><SUB>GluR</SUB> (OT-<I>I</I><SUB>GluR</SUB>). This suggests that some outward current opposes inward <I>I</I><SUB>GluR</SUB>. The <I>I</I><SUB>GluR</SUB> inhibition displayed a U-shaped voltage-dependence with a minimal inhibition around the resting membrane potential, suggesting that simple shunting effects or deactivation of <I>I</I><SUB>h</SUB> cannot explain the U-shaped voltage-dependence. Confocal imaging of Na<SUP>+</SUP> revealed that GluR activation caused an accumulation of Na<SUP>+</SUP> in the microvilli, which can cause a negative shift of the reversal potential for <I>I</I><SUB>h</SUB> (<I>E</I><SUB>h</SUB>). Taken together, it was suggested that <I>I</I><SUB>GluR</SUB> evoked in MTN neurons is opposed by a transient decrease or increase in standing inward or outward <I>I</I><SUB>h</SUB>, respectively, both of which can be caused by negative shifts of <I>E</I><SUB>h</SUB>, as consistent with the U-shaped voltage-dependence of the <I>I</I><SUB>GluR</SUB> inhibition and the OT-<I>I</I><SUB>GluR</SUB> generation. An electron-microscopic immunohistochemical study revealed the colocalization of HCN channels and glutamatergic synapses in microvilli of MTN neurons, which would provide a morphological basis for the functional interaction between HCN and GluR channels. Mathematical modeling eliminated the possibilities of the involvements of <I>I</I><SUB>h</SUB> deactivation and/or shunting effect and supported the negative shift of <I>E</I><SUB>h</SUB> which causes the U-shaped voltage-dependent inhibition of <I>I</I><SUB>GluR</SUB>.</P>
