만성적이며 재발성 질환인 베체트 병에 대한 한위학적인 진단과 치료의 개념을 도입하고 동서협진의 연구기반올 정립하기 위하여 동서의학적 고찰을 하였다. 서의학적으로는 터키의 피부과 의사인 베체트가 1937년 처음으로 하나의 중후군으로 베체트 병을 제시한 이래로 여러 가지 원인과 치료들이 제시되었으나 아직까지 만족할만한 치료제가 개발되지 못한 상태이며 진단에 있어서 보조적 진단방법이나 질병의 진행상태를 파악할 수 있는 검사방법이 없어 치료에 대한 반응을 객관적으로 측정하기에는 한계가 있다. 한의학적인 많은 임상치료가 시행되었고, 한의학적 임상례를 통하여 볼 때 보편적으로 사용되는 내복약 외에도 침구요법, 외용방, 광선요법 등이 응용될 수 있음을 제시하였다. A literature study was progressed for Introduction of the conception of oriental medical diagnosis and treatment and establishment of studious fundation of current and oriental medical cooperation for Behc¸et's disease to be known chronic and repetitional disease. In current medicine, valid medicine for Behc¸et's disease, from Behc¸et, a turkish doctor, announced it the very first, was not made and objective diagnostic method not existed. Through clinical cases in oriental medical treatment, it was known that, except herbal medication, acupuncture, medicine of external application and beam-therapy were applied.
인접면 초기 우식 병소의 깊이에 따른 therapeutic sealing의 유효성평가

인접면 초기 우식병소에 대하여 레진 접착제를 도포하는 최소 침습적 개념의 therapeutic sealing은 치질 삭제가 불필요하다는 점에서 의미있는 술식으로 인정된다. 그러나 이 방법이 초기 우식병소의 법랑질 내 침투 깊이와 무관하게 여전히 유효할 것인지에 대해 의문이 들어 이번 연구는 그 유효성을 평가해 보기 위해 시도되었다. 인접면에 초기 우식병소를 보이는 발거된 소구치 21개를 대상으로 하고, micro-CT 촬영을 통해 병소의 깊이에 따라 분류하였다. 전체 시편을 병소가 법랑질 외층에 국한된 시편의 표면 절반에 접착제를 도포한 1군과 하지 않은 2군, 병소가 법랑질 내층까지 진행된 시편의 표면 절반에 접착제를 도포한 3군과 하지 않은 4군, 비와동성 초기 병소가 법랑-상아 경계까지 진행된 시편의 표면 절반에 접착제를 도포한 5군과 하지 않은 6군으로 분류하였다. 열순환 후 2주간 인공 우식을 유발하고 분류 과정과 동일한 평면을 찾아 micro-CT를 촬영하고 병소의 방사선 밀도 변화를 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 인접면 초기 우식병소의 침투 깊이가 증가할수록 병소 본체의 방사선 밀도는 낮아지는 것이 관찰되었다. 2. 병소의 깊이에 무관하게, 레진 접착제를 도포한 모든 실험군에서 처리하지 않은 대조군에 비하여 인공 우식 처리 전후의 방사선 밀도 변화가 작게 나타났다(p<0.05). 3. 병소가 법랑-상아 경계에 도달한 5군에서도 레진 접착제를 도포하고 인공 우식 처리시, 실험 전후의 유의한 방사선 밀도 변화가 나타나지 않았다(p<0.05). As the minimally invasive approach against white spot like early caries lesions in proximal surfaces of the teeth. therapeutic sealing has been introduced and studied for effective materials and methods to arrest the early caries lesion effectively. which is still going on. This study was performed for the purpose of evaluating its validity for the non-cavitated lesions according to the depth from surface using therapeutic sealing followed by artificial caries induction and evaluation with micro-CT. and we obtained the results as follows. 1. It was revealed that the deeper the caries lesions are. the lower radiation intensity at lesion body areas in pre-treatment specimen. 2. In the sealed groups. there were no differences in radiation intensity between pre- and post-treatment, whereas there were significant decreases in unsealed groups(p<0.05). 3. Even in the specimens with the lesions reaching deeply into DEJ, the effect of sealing was significant(p<0.05). Conclusively. it was thought therapeutic sealing can be an effective tool against the early caries lesions, regardless of their depth into tooth. unless cavitated.
Extremely small multimode-interference coupled triangular resonator with sharp angle of incidence

<P>Novel triangular ring resonators combining extremely small multimode-interference (MMI) coupler, low loss total internal reflection (TIR) mirrors, and semiconductor optical amplifiers are reported for the first time. The MMI length of 90 microm is among the shortest reported. The incidence angle of the TIR mirror inside the resonator is 22 degrees. A free-spectral range of approximately 2 nm is observed near 1550 nm along with an on-off ratio of 17 dB. The triangular resonators with a sharp angle are very attractive components due to their promise of compact size and high levels of integration. Therefore, large numbers of resonators can be integrated on a chip to increase functionality in future optical wavelength division multiplexing system.</P>

Body condition score (BCS) is a useful management tool for distinguishing differences in nutritional needs of cows in the herd. Although it is not always possible to quantify the nutrient content of the feed supplied to the donor cow, the nutritional status can be determined by the BCS. The objective of this study was to evaluate in vivo embryo production, return to estrous of donor and pregnancy rate of recipients following BCS in Hanwoo superovulation. Sixty nine Hanwoo donor cows were flushed on day 7 of estrus cycle with same FSH and artificial insemination by the same technicians. Embryos were recovered on 7 days after the third insemination by flushing the uterus with Embryo Collection Medium. The results obtained were as follows: No differences were observed in the efficiency of superovulation rates regardless of BCS (≤2.0, 2.5 to 3.0, and ≥3.5). The mean number of total embryos was each 5.20±0.86, 11.56±1.04, and 6.23±1.07. The mean number of transferable embryo from ≤2.0, 2.5 to 3.0, and ≥3.5 of BCS was 2.60±0.87, 7.94±0.89, and 4.75±1.32, respectively (p<0.05). Return to estrous regardless of donor BCS was no difference. The pregnancy rates of recipient were BCS ≤2.0 11.76%, 2.5 to 3.0 40.79%, and ≥3.5 11.11%, following transfer of fresh embryos produced in vivo, respectively. These results indicate that if the Hanwoo with BCS 2.5 to 3.3 are used for donor and recipient, the embryo production and the conception rate will be greater.
GO-23 : Chemosensitivity testing based on gene expression profiling in patients with ovarian cancer

목적: To evaluate the association between clinical response of treatment agents and results of chemosensitivity testing in ovarian cancer. 방법: Tissue was obtained from 21 ovarian cancer patients and gene expression was evaluated by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Selected gene panel with expression of specific genes in the pathways that are related to drug responses in ovarian cancer were analyzed( AKT, Aurora A, BCRP, CD31, ERCC1, GSTpi, HER2, MDR1, Mitosin, PI3 Kinase, RRM1, Survivin, TOP1, TOP2A, TS, VEGF, VEGFR2, XIAP, P73). Gene expression were matched with therapeutic agent including Platinum, Taxanes, Bevacizumab, Gemcitabine, Topoisomerase I Inhibitors, Topoisomerase II Inhibitors, Cyclophosphamide, Herceptin, and 5-fluorouracil for chemosensitivity. 결과: Chemosensitivity testing revealed sensitivity rate of 66%, 81%, 96%, 56% and 61% for Platinum, Taxanes, Topoisomerase I Inhibitors, Topoisomerase II Inhibitors, and Bevacizumab, respectively. Treatment response rate was 70% (Complete Response: 40%, Partial Response: 30%). Treatment response was not significantly increased in the platinum sensitive patients (p=0.613), and overall response rate did not significantly differ according to the chemosensitivity test. 결론: This study may provide useful information in optimizing individual chemotherapy in the treatment of ovarian cancer.

β-Sitosterol (1), betulinic acid (2), and 3β-hydroxy-20(29)-lupen-28-oic acid methyl ester (3) were isolated from the herbal parts of Lythrum salicaria. Compounds 2 and 3 were isolated for the first time from L. salicaria and they showed inhibitory activities on both hACAT1 and hACAT2. These results suggested that L. salicaria, which contains triterpenes 2 and 3, might be effective in the prevention and treatment of hypercholesterolemia or atherosclerosis due to its inhibitory effect on hACAT.

In the process of screening for anti-human acyl-CoA:cholesterol acyltransferase (hACAT) agents from plant resources, we found that the 80% methanolic extract of Rhus chinensis (R. chinensis) exhibited significant antioxidative and hACAT activities in rats. Two compounds were isolated as active principles from the ethyl acetate soluble fraction of the branches of R. chinensis. The structures of compounds 1 and 2 were determined as hydroxydammarenone and semialactone, respectively, by means of MS and NMR spectroscopic analysis. Compound 1 has been isolated from this plant for the first time. Compounds 1 and 2 showed inhibitory activities on both human ACAT1 with $IC_{50}$ values of 12.4, and $79.1\;{\mu}M$ and on human ACAT2 with $IC_{50}$ values of 30.5 and $76.9\;{\mu}M$, respectively. These results suggested that R. chinensis containing dammarane triterpenes 1 and 2 might be effective in the prevention and treatment of hypercholesterolemia or atherosclerosis via inhibitory effect on hACAT.
