        This Study is to make aneestimation of the effect of Badminton exercises on on the improvement of health of 250 club members hwo are practising exercises regulacly. 1) About the half of the pollee anewered that they had Started to play badminton from the motives of improving their health, which shows that the problem of the lack of exercises is going of bring about the serious health Unbalance in modern society. 2) About 6 or so of pollee answered that they were playing Badminton five or six times a week and 29.2% of than used to play badminton for about an hour, 25.6% about 50minutes and and20.0% about 70minutes which shows that to play badmintion as the club exercises for about an how every day is abequate for improving health. 3) Before their badminton practices, a total of about 90% of pollees felt that they had hard time in their body movements deriving from ailments or bad physical conditions such as mental stress, lumbago, chronic fatigue and circulatory diseases. But The percent dropped to nearly 40% by solving the problem of the lack of exercise through badminton playing. 4) While 12.6% answered that they had been Weak before the badminton exercise, only 1.3% said they are in infirmity after. The fact shows badmintor practice has a great effect on the improvement of physical conditions. 5) On the ailment prevention after starting the practice, 92.4% of pollees said they experienced the effect contrary to 7.6% no experiences and by playing badminton periodically, the conflict among family reduced 92% to 41.6%. 6) On the phenomenon of lack of exercise before the launching of badninton practice, 98% experienced the phenomenon. But 99.6% went through the impact of badminton exercise later. This leads to a conclusion that in fact psychological phenomenon played a great role in influence on working out the lack of exercise.

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences of locus of control athletes according to their Sex and individual or group entris. The major findings of this study are as follows : ㆍWhen they wins 1. The male athletes have inclination of the interval attribution, and especially they think that the winning result from effort. 2. The female athletes have inclination of the interval attribution, but they under estimate the influence of their abilties. 3. The athlete on occations of indivicual entries have inclination of the interval attribution, and they have the strong faile that the winning is result from effort, but ability. 4. The athlete on occation of group entries have inclination of the interval attribution, and they conceive that the winning is influenced by effort. ㆍWhen they less 1. The male athlete have the inclination of interval and attribution, but more interval attribution. 2. The female athlete have the inclination of the interval attribution. 3. The athlete on occation of individual entries have inclination of the interval attribution. 4. The athlete on occations of group entries have inclination of the interval attribution, and they conceive that the loss result from their inabilities and their rirals' strgng power.

      • Tenax-GC를 利用한 大豆乳와 醱酵大豆乳의 風味成分 分析

        Soy milk prepared from soy protein isolate and soy milk fermented with Lactobacillus acidophilus were adsorbed and desorbed by using Tenax-GC method and analyzed by Gas Chromatograph. It was found that this techingue was very efficient when the analytical results was expressed by the ratis of the peak area of each volatile to that of a fixed concentration of internal standard. Acetaldehyde, ethyl vinyl ketone, n-hexanal, n-hexanol, and 1 -octen-3-ol existed in soy milk. The content of acetaldehyde and diacetyl was increased while that of n-hexanal was reduced by lactic fermentation.

        Effects of grape seed proanthocyanidin extract on side effects of high-dose methylprednisolone administration in male rats

        In this study, we investigated the effects of grape seed proanthocyanidin extract (GSPE) against the side effects of highdose administration of methylprednisolone (MP) in male rats. A total of 32 adult Wistar male albino rats were divided into four groups: (1) control (CON), received standard food only; (2) MP, received standard food + intraperitoneal injection of 60 mg/kg MP on day 7; (3) GSPE, received standard food + 200 mg/kg/day GSPE; and (4) MP + GSPE, received standard food + 200 mg/kg/day of GSPE + intraperitoneal injection of 60 mg/kg MP on day 7. All animals in the GSPE and GSPE + MP groups were treated once a day by oral gavage for 14 consecutive days. The feed intake of rats in the MP and MP + GSPE groups decreased significantly by 24.14% and 13.52%, respectively (p < 0.05). Administration of MP resulted in significant increases in serum concentrations of blood urea nitrogen (p < 0.001), glucose (p < 0.01), alkaline phosphatase, and adrenocorticotropic hormone (p < 0.05). High-dose MP administration significantly reduced catalase (p < 0.001) and glutathione peroxidase (p < 0.05) concentrations in the liver and kidney tissues of rats, while glutathione concentrations were only reduced in liver tissue (p < 0.05). The expression levels of Bcl-2 and TNF-α in liver, kidney, and testicular tissue were significantly increased, while the expression levels of caspase-3 were reduced (p < 0.001). Furthermore, sperm concentration was significantly affected by GSPE in rats induced by high-dose MP, and sperm loss was significantly reduced in MP + GSPE (p < 0.05). These findings suggest that GSPE could be useful as a supplement to alleviate MP-induced toxicity in rats.

        Phytoceramide Alleviates the Carrageenan/Kaolin-Induced Arthritic Symptoms by Modulation of Inflammation

        Phytoceramide (Pcer) is found mainly in plants and yeast. It can be neuroprotective and immunostimulatory on various cell types. In this study, the therapeutic effect of Pcer was explored using the carrageenan/kaolin (C/K)-induced arthritis rat model and fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLS). Pcer treatment (1, 10, and 30 mg/kg/day) were given to the arthritic rats for 6 days after disease induction. Weight distribution ration (WDR), knee thickness, squeaking score, serum levels of proinflammatory mediators, and histological analysis were measured and performed to evaluate arthritic symptoms in the rat model. In interleukin (IL)‑1β‑stimulated FLS, proinflammatory mediators were measured after Pcer (1-30 μM) treatment. Arthritic symptoms in rats with Pcer treatment were significantly decreased at days 4 to 6 after C/K arthritis induction. Inflammation in the knee joints were also significantly decreased in rats with Pcer treatment. Furthermore, in IL-1β‑stimulated FLS, the expressions of proinflammatory mediators were also inhibited by Pcer. As shown by the results, Pcer has anti-arthritic effects in the C/K rat model and in synovial cells, suggesting that Pcer has the potential to be a useful agent in arthritis treatment.

        Fracture-mechanical Modeling of Tool Wear by Finite Element Analysis

        마모구조는 대략적으로 기계, 화학 빛 열적 마모 등으로 구분되어 진다. 평면변형 유한요소법이 지속적인 칩 형성을 갖는 대각선 가공을 시물레이션하기 위하여 새로운 재료의 응력 및 온도 필드와 같이 사용되었다. 작업소재의 변형은 등방성 변형 경화를 갖는 탄성-점소성으로 취급되며, 수치해석의 해는 소성 변형과 온포 필드의 결합을 설명하며, 온도 종속적인 재료 물성치로 취급된다. 이 논문에서 개발된 모델에서는 전단영역 주위의 변형률, 응력 및 온도 분포에 대한 추성모델의 불확실성의 영향들을 보여주며 예측된 전단영역의 응력, 변형률 및 온도의 평균값들은 기존의 실험 치와 비교해서 잘맞는 것으로 사료된다. Wear mechanisms may be briefly classified by mechanical, chemical and thermal wear. A plane strain finite element method is used with a new material stress and temperature fields to simulate orthogonal machining with continuous chip formation. Deformation of the workpiece material is treated as elastic-viscoplastic with isotropic strain hardening, and the numerical solution accounts for coupling between plastic deformation and the temperature field, including treatment of temperature-dependent material properties. Effects of the uncertainty in the constitutive model on the distributions of strain, stress and temperature around the shear zone are presented, and the model is validated by comparing average values of the predicted stress, strain, and temperature at the shear zone with experimental results.

      • Clay를 함유한 펙틴/전분 나노복합체의 기계적 물성 및 가스 투과도

        Mechanical properties and gas permeability of biodegradable Pectin/Starchmontmorillonite clay (filler) have been studied. Tensile strength and modulus was increased as the increasing content of montmorillonite. X-ray diffraction was used to assess the periodic distance of the clay layers and transmission electron microscopy was used to to observe the composite morphology. The periodic distance of the stacks was 21.76∼26.12 Å for the processed composites. Thus suggests that the layers of the clay particles have been intercalated. Oxygen permeability of pectin/starch-clay composites was generally lower than that of plastic films.

      • AN INTEGRAL EQUATION FOR KINKED CRACKS APPLIED TO MODE Ⅲ IN FINITE PLANE BODIES

        An integral equation representation of cracks was presented, which differs from well-known "dislocation layer" representation. In this new representation, an integral equation representation of cracks was developed and coupled to the direct boundary-element method for treatment of cracks in plane finite bodies. The method was developed for in-plane( modes I and 11) loadings only. In this paper, the method is formulated and applied to mode I11 problems involving smooth or kinked cracks in finite region. 'The results are compared to exact solutions where available and the method is shown to be very accurate despite of its simplicity.

      • Aqueous Polymerization of Acrylamide by N,N-Dimethylaniline-Cobaltous Chloride

        N,N-Dimethylaniline(DMA)와 염화코발트를 개시제로 사용하여 질소 기류하의 수용액 중에서 30-50℃에서 acrylamide의 중합을 시도하였다. 중합속도는 0.5-2.0× mol/ℓ 범위에서 단량체 농도의 1.08승의 비례함을 발견하였다. 또 염화코발트의 반응차수는 0.53차이었으며, 이것으로부터 0.2-2.0× mol/ℓ 범위내에서 최종 반응의 반응 mechanism을 예측할 수 있었다. 중합속도와 최대 전환율은 반응 온도가 40℃ 이상에서는 낮아졌다. 또 30-50℃의 온도 범위에서 활성화 energy는 9.38Kcal/mol이었다. Methanol을 투입하였을 땐 중합속도가 줄어들었고, benzoquinone을 투입하였을 땐 induction period 동안 반응이 완전 중지되었다. 실험결과로부터 반응 mechanism을 제안하였다. The pair of cobaltous chloride with N,N-dimethylaniline (DMA) nas been investigated as an initiator for the polymerization of acrylamide in aqueous media at 30, 40, and 50℃ in a nitrogen atmosphere. The rate of polymerization was found to be proportional the monomer concentration to the power of 1.08 over the range of 0.5-2.0× mol/ℓ. The reaction order related to the cobaltous chloride concentration was 0.53, which indicated a bimolecular mechanism for the termination reaction in the range of 0.2-2.0× mol/ℓ. The rate of polymerization and the maximum conversion was decreased the temperature was above 40℃. The apparent activation energy was 9.38Kcal/mol in the temperature range of 30-50℃. The rate of polymerization was decreased as adding methanol in the reactant, and was completely stopped during an induction period caused when benzoquinone was added in it. The reaction mechanism was proposed on the basis of the experimental data.
