        논문 : 해외공연이 최승희의 예술세계에 미친 영향

        본 논문은 해외공연활동이 최승희의 춤 정체성에 어떠한 영향을 주었고, 더 나아가 한국무용계의 발전에 어떠한 기여를 했는지를 연구하는데 그 목적이 있다. 일제강점기라는 시대에 무용 활동을 하면서 최승희는 한국인들의 민족적 아픔을 담아 민족적인 감정을 표현하였으며, 그녀가 민족을 대표하는 작품을 창작 할 때 사상적인 개념을 구축하기 위한 밑거름이 되었다. 또한 최승희의 스승인 이시이 바쿠의 영향으로 한국전통무용을 토대로 한국무용을 창작하게 되었다. 최승희는 1938년부터 1940년까지 미국, 유럽, 남미를 순회하면서 해외활동을 한 결과 한국 고유의 전통적인 소재로 창작한 한국무용이 외국에서는 더 많은 관심을 보인다는 것을 인식하고 한국의 전통무용을 최승희만의 독특한 체계로 확립시켜 새로운 무용으로 창작해나갔으며, 넓은 의미로 동양무용수립을 창조하고자 하였다. 또한 최승희는 ``최승희 동양 발레단``의 결성을 시도하고 한국에 발레무용을 창작하여 무용연구소를 설립하고자 하였으나 사회적인 상황으로 인해 실패되었다. 최승희의 미주순회공연이 그녀의 무용예술세계에 많은 영향을 주게 되었다는 것을 본 연구를 통해 알게 되었다. 미국과 유럽의 순회공연에서「보살춤」과「초립동」은 민족적 성격을 지닌 작품으로써 서양적인 발레나 현대무용 형식에 민족적인 내용을 소재로 한 작품에 더 관심을 가졌으며, 남미 순회공연에서는 한국적인 춤사위와 외국무용의 조화로움 속에 표현된 동양적인 신비함과 아름다움에 매료되었다. 이처럼, 최승희는 해외공연을 통해 서양에서는 한국적인 춤에 더욱 관심을 갖는다는 것을 인식하고, 한국 무용의 세계화를 위해 한국의 근대무용에 기틀을 세워 전통무용을 현대화시킴으로써 무용사에 큰 공을 세운 인물이다. 또한 그녀만의 예술관을 가지고 끊임없는 노력으로 많은 작품을 창작하여 한국의 무용계의 발전에 이바지하였다. 최승희는 일제강점기라는 혼란한 시대에 한국무용계의 근대화를 추구하여 신무용을 창시하였으며, 무용을 예술의 한 분야로 자리매김 할 수 있는 발판을 만들어 주었다. 예술인들을 천시하여 무용을 독립된 예술로 인정하지 않았던 시대에 한국 무용계를 구축한 인물이었으나, 일제강점기 시대를 지내는 과정을 걸쳐 월북함으로써 친일의 논란에서 벗어나지 못하고 분단 상황과 이데올로기라는 시대에 의해 그 존재가 묻히게 되었다. 하지만 이러한 둘러싼 논란에도 불구하고 민족적인 최승희는 얼이 담긴 한국을 대표 할 수 있는 한국적인 무용을 창시하여 세계적인 예술로 승화시킨 인물이다. 한국무용역사에 큰 획을 그은 최승희의 업적은 사회적인 정치적 상황에도 불구하고 인정되어야 할 것이다. This study aims to examine how much Ishii Baku and overseas dance performance tours had impacted Seung-Hee Choi`s choreography and her unique dance styles. This study also tries to show her contribution to the modernization of Korea`s traditional dance. During the Japanese colonial era, Seung-Hee Choi showed the pain of the Korean people who had lost their nation through dancing. This nationalistic aspect was the foundation of her choreography and her dance styles. She was influenced by Ishii Baku who was her Japanese dance teacher. With his influence, she choreographed the new form of Korean modern dance styles by incorporating Korean traditional dance movements to her own creative style. After overseas tours of dance performances in the U.S.A., Europe, and South America from 1938 to 1940, Seung-Hee Choi realized that her dance styles incorporating traditional Korean dance movements are more acclaimed by the foreigners than the domestic audiences. Thus, she decided to develop her own unique dance styles more incorporated with traditional Korean dance. Furthermore, she wants to establish East Asian dance styles. Choi tried to establish "Choi Seung-Hee East Asian Ballet Foundation" for a systematic study of Asian dances. However, her venture failed because the social and political milieu was not conducive at that time. This study confirms that Isihe Baku and the American dance tour had significant influences on building Choi`s own dance styles. In the American and European dance tours, she introduced "Bosalchum" and "Choripdong," which showed Korean national emotions and attracted the interest of Western ballet groups that tried to incorporate the nationalistic materials into the modern dance. During the South American dance tour, she expressed mistery and beauty of Asia by harmonizing Korean traditional dance movements and Western dance styles. After she recognized that traditional Korean dance movement attracted foreign interests, she devoted herself to internationalize Korean modern dance, which eventually became the foundation of Korean modern dance and modernized Korean traditional dances. With her own artistic ideas, she constantly created dance works. Therefore, she deserves to be recognized as one of the most significant figures in Korean dance history in spite of the political ideology and her achievements should be taught to the young generation.

        OCT 광학기기의 레진 컴파짓 수복평가의 응용

        Composite resins are developed as restorative materials to improve esthetics and mechanical properties. To improve the physical properties of resin material, resin filler have to be added. However, no imaging method is adopted for resin filler distribution. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a optical imaging technique to delineate microscopic structures within biological tissue. The OCT application to dental composites resin and its filler is not described yet. So, this new and advanced optical method is needed for clinical application for evaluation of dental composite resin. To analyze the spatial distribution of dental composite resin and to evaluate the resin restoration in cavity, frequency domain optical coherence tomography (FD-OCT) was used for their analysis. Resin restored tooth was prepared. For morphological observation, serially sectioned teeth, conventional X-ray taking and micro computed-tomography (CT) images were compared with OCT images. The experiment has done to evaluate the success of the resin restoration using 3 dimensional structure OCT image. In this research, OCT is evaluated as a new technique to image resin restoration. The evaluation of resin restored tooth was performed by OCT. Inappropriate restoration such as marginal adaptation, large porosities, internal integrity and poor contour could be detected. Resin filler also could be checked by OCT. The distribution, number, regularity and size of resin filler can be differentiated from several commercial products. Considering the characteristics of the OCT, it can be used to evaluate the defects of resin restoration, resin filler distribution, and internal integrity between resin material and tooth structure. The OCT can be considered to be a new and advanced method for the evaluation of resin restorations.

      • Regional Diffrerences in Enhanced Neurogenesis in the Dentate Gyrus of Adult Rats after Transient Forebrain Ischemia

        Neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus occurs throughout life. We observed regional differences in neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus of adult rats following transient forebrain ischemia. Nine days after ischemic-reperfusion or sham manipulation, rats were given 5-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine-5'-monophosphate (BrdU), a marker for dividing cells. They were killed 1 or 28 days later to distinguish between cell proliferation and survival. Neurogenesis was evaluated by BrdU incorporation as well by identifying neuronal and glial markers in six regions of the dentate gyrus: rostral, middle and caudal along the rostrocaudal axis, each further divided into suprapyramidal and infrapyramidal blade subregions. In control rats BrdU-positive cells in the rostral subregions were significantly lower in the suprapyramidal than in the infrapyramidal blades at both 1 and 28 days after BrdU injection. One day after infection, BrdU-positive cells had increased more in five of the subregions in the ischemic rats than in the controls, the exception being the suprapyramidal blade of the rostral subregion. At 28 days after BrdU injection, numbers of BrdU-positive cells were higher in four subregions in the ischemic group, the exceptions being the rostral suprapyramidal and middle infrapyramidal blades. At 28 days after BrdU injection, the percentages of BrdU positive cells that expressed a neuronal marker (NeuN) were the same in the dentate granule cell layers of ischemic and control rats. Our data thus demonstrate regional differences in enhanced neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus of adult rats after transient forebrain ischemia.

        Reforming National Response Governance for Prevention of Respiratory Viral Infectious Diseases after the 2015 MERS Outbreak in Korea

        2015년 메르스 사태를 검토하면서 호흡기 바이러스 감염병의 국가대응 거버넌스 문제점과 개선방향을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저 거버넌스의 개념을 개관하고, 2015년 메르스 대처하는 과정의 문제점과 메르스 사태 이후 제시된 해결방안을 재조명해 보고자 한다. 2015년 메르스 발생시 문제점은 크게, 시민과 민간 병원의 소극적 참여, 실질적인 환류와 학습의 부족, 국내외 주체간의 의사소통과 이를 중재할 컨트롤 타워 부재, 정부의 정보 공유 제한과 그로 인한 근거없는 소문생성, 그리고 이에 대한 경제적 회복 문제가 있고 이들은 아직도 크게 개선되었다고 보기 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위한 방향으로 국내외 공공기관, 시민과 민간 의료기관은 물론 언론 등 적극적으로 감염병 국가대응 관리거버넌스에 참여와, 실질적인 환류를 통한 학습, 국내외의 거버넌스 주체 및 기관간 의사소통과 정보 공유를 제시하였다. 또한 컨트롤 타워 확립 및 재난발생 지역과 그 외의 지역의 경제적 문제에 대한 대처방안을 해결하는 거버넌스가 지속적으로 보완 발전되어야 할 것을 제언한다. The 2015 Korean Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) required the government to evaluate the readiness and preparedness of the existing national response system in preparation for the next outbreak of respiratory viral infectious disease. This study reexamines the current national response management governance strategies in Korea to evaluate if it can prevent and respond to a large-scale infectious diseases and suggests directions for future governance. After reviewing the definition of governance, this study revisits various issues and problems occurred during the government’s response to the 2015 MERS outbreak and proposes possible solutions for the national response governance in Korea to adopt to prevent the future outbreak.

        Study on the History of Korean Physical Therapy

        Since physical therapy was first introduced in Korea, it has been 50 years past and Korean physical therapy has made rapid progress. However, history or educational system of Korean physical therapy is still not known worldwide. Now, for Korean physical therapy to go beyond Asia and leap toward the world, endless studies, efforts and publicity are required. Korean physical therapy first began by missionaries dispatched from other countries like America and Canada with Korean War, which occurred in 1950. After the War, Korean Physical Therapy is devel˗ oped very fast. Korean Physical Therapy Association was founded in October 1, 1965 and many physical therapist were discharged. Korea became a full member of World Confederation of Physical Therapy(WCPT) in 1974, and held the 2nd Asia Pacific Confederation of Physical Therapy assembly in 1984 and WCPT assembly in 2005. Today, in 2010, licensed physical therapists are about 35,000 and there are physical therapy departments in 74 universities, and 17 uni˗ versities have master's or doctor's degree courses. And there are many academic journals(more than 10) related to physical therapy that are published. Many Korean physical therapists are working at various countries like America or Australia, and are acknowledged with excellent treatment technology and academic studies. This thesis aims to shed new light to the history and educational system reorganization of Korean phys˗ ical therapy and introduce it to the world, and establish the historical foundation to develop Korean physical therapy into the international level.

        Two-Step Process Using Immobilized Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Pichia stipitis for Ethanol Production from Ulva pertusa Kjellman Hydrolysate

        We established a two-step production process using immobilized S. cerevisiae and P. stipitis yeast to produce ethanol from seaweed (U. pertusa Kjellman) hydrolysate. The process was designed to completely consume both glucose and xylose. In particular, the yeasts were immobilized using DEAE-corncob and DEAE-cotton, respectively. The first step of the process included a continuous column reactor using immobilized S. cerevisiae, and the second step included a repeated-batch reactor using immobilized P. stipitis. It was verified that the glucose and xylose in 20 L of medium containing the U. pertusa Kjellman hydrolysate was converted completely to about 5.0 g/l ethanol through the two-step process, in which the overall ethanol yield from total reducing sugar was 0.37 and the volumetric ethanol productivity was 0.126 g/ l/h. The volumetric ethanol productivity of the two-step process was about 2.7 times greater than that when P. stipitis was used alone for ethanol production from U. pertusa Kjellman hydrolysate. In addition, the overall ethanol yield from glucose and xylose was superior to that when P. stipitis was used alone for ethanol production. This two-step process will not only contribute to the development of an integrated process for ethanol production from glucoseand xylose-containing biomass hydrolysates, but could also be used as an alternative method for ethanol production.

        Dielectric Polymers for OTFT Application

        A series of new dielectric polymers with phenyl, epoxy, and carboxylicacid functional groups was prepared via free-radical polymerization. The effect of such dielectric polymers with various functional groups on the performance of OTFT was investigated. The nonpolar groups of terpolymer made the surface of the dielectric layer more hydrophobic and improved the crystal growth of pentacene on the gate insulator, resulting in higher mobility. By controlling the functional group, the electric characteristics of OTFT performance was varied, with $0.00017-0.15\;cm^2/V{\cdot}s$ mobility.
