정서인식명확성과 정서조절의 관계에서 인지적 융통성의 매개효과

본 연구는 정서인식명확성과 정서조절의 관계에서 인지적 융통성의 기능을 살펴보고자 하였다. 총 151명의 참가자에게 정서인식명확성과 정서조절을 설문을 통해 측정하였고, 인지적 융통성을 설문과 과제 두 가지 방식으로 측정하였다. 그 결과, 자기보고로 측정된 인지적 융통성은 정서인식명확성과 정서조절의 관계를 매개하는 것으로 나타났지만 과제로 측정된 인지적 융통성은 둘의 관계에서 매개 역할을 하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 정서인식명확성이 정서조절로 이어지는 기제에 인지적 융통성이 역할을 하며, 이 때, 실제 능력보다는 능력에 대한 믿음이 정서조절에 도움이 된다는 것을 시사한다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 한계점, 향후 연구에 대한 논의를 포함하였다. Background: This study investigates the function of cognitive flexibility in the relationship between emotional clarity and emotion regulation and examines the differential effect between belief and ability for cognitive flexibility on them. Methods: The 151 participants respond to the questionnaires measuring emotional clarity, emotion regulation, and cognitive flexibility, which is also measured by task reflecting on real ability. Results: Data from this study show that self-reported cognitive flexibility mediates the effect of emotional clarity on emotion regulation. Cognitive flexibility measured by task has no mediating effect on them. Conclusions: These results suggest the cognitive flexibility play a role in the mechanism linking emotional clarity to emotion regulation and belief of own’s ability to cope flexibly is more important than real ability. Finally, this paper includes implications, limitations, and suggestions for the future study.
Use of fludrocortisone for intradialytic hypotension

Intradialytic hypotension during dialysis adversely affects a patient’s prognosis and increases mortality. We report a case in which intradialytic hypotension that persisted after the administration of midodrine was relieved after the use of fludrocortisone. Administration of 0.2 mg of fludrocortisone occurred 30 minutes before dialysis. We compared 45 sessions of dialysis without fludrocortisone administration and 45 sessions of dialysis with fludrocortisone administration in one patient. The number of times in which systolic blood pressure became lower than 80 mmHg and the number of early terminations of dialysis due to a decrease in systolic blood pressure were higher in the sessions without fludrocortisone administration than in the sessions with fludrocortisone administration (P < 0.05). Fludrocortisone may be helpful for the treatment of intradialytic hypotension that does not respond to midodrine administration.
Estradiol enhances alternative activation of macrophages in white adipose tissue

목적: Purpose - Our aim is to investigate how estradiol affects adipose tissue immune milieu and determine whether it improves glucose homeostasis in the long-term absence of estrogen. 방법: Materials and Methods – Female C57BL/6 mice were fed either normal chow (NCD) or 60% high-fat diets (HFD) ad libitum for 8 weeks after sham-operation (sham) or ovariectomy (OVX). Male C57BL/6 mice were used as controls. Female mice underwent long-term estrogen deficiency were administered 25 or 100/ug/kg/day of 17beta-estradiol (E2) subcutaneously via implanted ALZET mini-osmotic pump and sacrificed 2 weeks later. Snice E2 replacement reduced food intake, subjects treated with vehicle were subdivided with two groups as food intake: ad libitum and pair feeding. For detecting immune milieu of visceral adipose tissue and glucose homeostasis, flow cytometry measurements, oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and insulin tolerance test (ITT) were performed, respectively. 결과: Results – E2 replacement reduced body weight and calorie intake compared with group received HFDs ad libitum. We classified ATMs into 2 groups: M1 (CD11c+CD206-) and M2 (CD11c-CD206+) macrophages. E2 replacement increased M2 ATMs compared with control group regardless of food control. To elucidate underlying mechanisms for increased ATMs in E2 group, we performed Ki67 and adoptive transfer of GFP labeled monocytes. It is identified that GFP positive M2 ATMs is detected in visceral adipose tissue after E2 administration in OVX mice. Next, to determine whether estrogen improves glucose metabolism, GTT and ITT were performed. Compared to pair-fed group, 25 or 100 ug/kg/day of E2-treated groups did not improved glucose metabolism regardless of E2 concentration. 결론: Conclusions - Our results suggest E2 increases M2 ATMs by inducing peripheral monocytes recruitment to visceral adipose tissue and does not improve glucose metabolism under long-term estrogen deficiency.
