In this study, the properties of Ag-coated $TiO_2$ nanoparticles were observed, while varying the molar ratio of water and $Ag^+$ for the surfactant and $TiO_2$. According to the XRD results, each nanoparticle showed a distinctive diffraction pattern. The intensity of the respective peaks and the sizes of the nanoparticles increased in the order of AT1($R_1=5$)(33.3 nm), AT2($R_1=10$)(38.1 nm), AT3($R_1=20$)(45.7 nm), AT4($R_1=40$)(48.6 nm) as well as AT5($R_2=0.2$, $R_3=0.5$)(41.4 nm), AT6($R_2=0.3$, $R_3=1$)(45.1 nm), AT7($R_2=0.5$, $R_3=1.5$)(49.3 nm), AT8($R_2=0.7$, $R_3=2$)(57.2 nm), which values were consistent with the results of the UV-Vis. spectrum. The surface resistance of the conductive pastes fabricated using the prepared Ag-coated $TiO_2$ nanoparticles exhibited a range 7.0~9.0($274{\sim}328{\mu}{\Omega}/cm^2$) times that of pure silver paste(ATP)($52{\mu}{\Omega}/cm^2$).

<P> In underground tunnels, friction between the wheels and rails of subway trains creates particles, which are spread by the wind generated when trains pass by. A louver dust collector was attached to the bottom of a T-car of Seoul Subway Line 5 train in an effort to remove PM<SUB>10</SUB> inside tunnels, and obtain data when it was in actual operation. It made several round trips during which differential pressure of the louver dust collector was measured in relation to train speed. By comparing and verifying the differential pressure estimated by simulation and that actually measured, it was possible to estimate average flow of air that went into the louver dust collector. Furthermore, by comparing and verifying the measurement results on collection efficiency of a lab-scale louver dust collector in a wind tunnel, along with the results of numerical analysis, it was possible to estimate the collection efficiency in relation to subway train speed. As a result, it was confirmed that higher running speeds of subway trains increased the flow of air going into the louver dust collector and subsequently decreased the particle size corresponding to 50% collection efficiency. In other words, the cut-off size was estimated to be 9.7 μm at the lowest speed of 5 km h<SUP>-1</SUP>, and 4.9 μm at the top speed of 65 km h<SUP>-1</SUP>, in normal speed range for the Seoul Subway Line 5 trains. </P>
A Study on the Multi-row Progressive Die for Thin Sheet Metal Forming by Computer Simulation

The progressive die performs a work of sheet metal processes with a piercing, notching, embossing, bending, drawing, cut?off etc. in many kinds of pressing. Now a days, these processes have been evaluated as a advanced tooling method to increase the productivity and high quality assurance. The first step analyzing of die design is production part review, then the arrangement drawing of product design and strip process layout design should be done as a next steps with a FEM simulation for its problem solution. After upper procedure were peformed, it was started to make the die, then tryout and its revision of the die and product quality, safety, productivity etc. were done continually. For the all of these process, we mobilized the theory and practice of sheet metal forming, die structure, the function and activity of die components, and the others of die machining, die material, heat treatment and know?how so on. In this study the features of representative are production part analyzing through the FEM simulation of bending area with a considering spring back problem by DEFORM.
A Study on the Development of Multi Forming Type Progressive Die for Marine Part Material

The production part requiring multiple processes such as piecing, blanking and notching are performed with a high production rates in progressive die. In order to prevent the defects of process result, the optimum of strip process layout design, die design, die making, and tryout with inspection etc. are needed According to these factors of die development process, they required theory and practice of metal working process and its phenomena, die structure, machining conditions for die making, die materials, heat treatment of die components, know-how and so on. In this study, we designed and analyzed die components also simulated the strip process layout of multiple stage drawing by DEFORM. Especially the result of tryout and its analysis become to the feature of this study.
A Study on the Characteristics of BTA Deep Drilling for Marine Part Carbon and Alloy Steels

The term "deep holes" is used to describe the machining of holes with a relatively large length to diameter ratio. The main feature of BTA deep hole drilling is the stabilization of cutting force necessary for the self guidance of the drill head. An additional feature is the cutting tool edges that are unsymmetrically placed on the drill head. There is an increasing necessity to predict the hole geometry and other dynamic stability behavior of deep hole drilling guidance. In this study, the effects of BTA deep hole drilling conditions on the hole profile machined piece are analyzed using domain analysis technique. The profile of deep hole drilled work piece is related to cutting speed, feed rate, chip flow, tool wear, and so on. This study deals with the experimental results obtained during the BTA drilling on SM45C, SM55C carbon steels and SCM440 steels under various cutting conditions, and these results are compared with analytical evaluations.aluations.
