        Association Among Self-Injury, Suicidal Tendency, and Personality and Psychological Characteristics in Korean Adolescents

        Objective To compare mental health problems and personality characteristics between adolescents with self-injury (SI) and suicidal tendency (ST), including suicidal ideation and suicide planning. Methods The participants completed the Adolescent Personality and Mental Health Problems Screening Questionnaire, Third version (AMPQ-III), and Korean version of the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ-Kr), and gave their demographic information. Based on the answered SI and ST items in AMPQ-III, the participants were divided into groups: without SI and ST, with SI and without ST, without SI and with ST, and with SI and ST. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and post-hoc Scheffe test were used to determine group differences, stepwise multiple linear regression, and factors associated with SI and ST. Results ANOVA yielded results for all categories of mental health problems. Significant differences were observed between the four groups. Conversely, for personality characteristics, only the sense of community item between the group without SI and with ST and the group without SI and ST were significantly different; sense of community was associated with ST (β=-0.054, p=0.005). Among the mental health subscales, SI was significantly associated with conduct problems (β=0.211, p<0.001), emotional problems (β=0.173, p<0.001), peer problems (β=0.085, p<0.001), and prosocial behavior (β=0.073, p<0.001). ST was significantly associated with emotional symptoms (β=0.317, p<0.001), peer problems (β=0.130, p<0.001), conduct problems (β=0.106, p<0.001), hyperactivity (β=0.050, p=0.010), and prosocial behavior (β=0.062, p<0.001). Conclusion The findings highlight the necessity of assessing psychological strength, difficulties, and personality characteristics for the prevention and early intervention of adolescent SI.

      • 고감도 CaSO_4 : Dy TL 분말의 TL 특성 및 고감도 TL 소자 제작 Dy TL powder and development of high sensitivity CaSO_4 Dy TL pellet

        CaSO_4 : Dy series TL material is widely used as a personal dosimeter because of its high sensitivity to radiation. KAERI(Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute) has been produced CaSO_4 TL powder activated by Dy(rare earth elements) for several years and continually tried to improve its sensitivity having more than that of commercialized Teledyne CaSO_4 : Dy TL powders(USA). The TL powder is prepared by adding 0.1mol% Dy as an activator and by the acid evaporation method at first. And new step of washing this powder by distil-water is appended to separate non-crystalized powder in the initial crystal of CaSO_4 : Dy powder. CaSO_4 : Dy crystal TL powder which is produced by applying this new method has higer sensitivity than before washing step, and it has also higher sensitivity than that of Teledyne CaSO_4 : Dy TL powder. This CaSO_4 : Dy TL powder shows good TL characteristics such as dose response, energy response and fading. It is not possible to make solid detectors of only CaSO_4 : Dy TL phosphor without any binding material. Until now widely used sintered pellets. which were made from a mixture of CaSO_4 : Dy TL phosphor and Teflon. But, due to reduction in content of CaSO_4 : Dy TL phosphor in pellets(15∼20wt%) the TL sensitivity of pellets was reduced correspondingly. To variously use the CaSO_4 : Dy TL phosphor, research for preparing detectors by mixing CaSO_4 : Dy TL phosphor with different binding substances has been conductedThis paper described development of a new type of CaSO_4 : Dy pellets by using P-compounds as a bonding material(KCT-300), and compared the TL sensitivity with that of the commercialized Teledyne CaSO_4 : Dy pellets. Sensitivity of a new developed KCT-300 shows about 6 times than Teledyne ones, and can be used to measure very low radiation dose.

      • Li 화합물을 첨가한 CaSO₄:Dy 열중성자 측정용 TLD 소자 개발

        Personal neutron dosimetry is quite a difficult area because a neutron is always accompanied with gamma radiation, which is required of a capability for mixed field dosimetry. CaSO₄:Dy phosphor is known to have a very high sensitivity to gamma, but the neutron capture cross section of the constituents of CaSO₄:Dy are so small that the interactions between the thermal neutron and the phosphor are rare. One method to improve the neutron interaction is by introducing an impurity ion with a large thermal neutron captures cross section into the phosphor to act as a neutron target centre such as 6Li. In neutron-gamma mixed radiation fields, if two detectors for the 6Li-7Li compounds embedded CaSO₄:Dy TL pellets are used, a 6Li-compound embedded pellet can detect the neutron and gamma radiation together, and the other pellet can only detect the gamma radiation. Recently Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KEARI) has developed a new type of CaSO₄:Dy TL materials embedded with phosphorous (KCT-300) to detect beta and gamma radiation with a very high sensitivity[1]. This paper presents the development of CaSO₄:Dy TL pellets embedded with 6Li compound for a thermal neutron measurement, and the detection method of the neutron and gamma dose in mixed fields with CaSO₄:Dy TL pellets embedded with a 6Li compound(KCT-306) and CaSO₄:Dy TL pellets embedded with a 7Li compound(KCT-307) is introduced. The net neutron sensitivity of CaSO₄:Dy TL pellets embedded with 6Li compound developed in this study is higher than that of the TLD-600 (Harshaw Co.) dosimeter which is available in the open market.

      • 각종 단백질 사료의 반추위내 분해도 및 하부 장기내 소화율에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 반추가축사료의 단백질 이용효율을 높이기 위한 방안으로 국내 사료회사에 주로 이용하고 있는 단백질 사료의 반추위내 분해단백질(RDP)과 비분해단백질(UDP) 및 소장에서도 흡수되지 않는 이용불능단백질 함량들을 측정하기 위하여 실시하였다. 반추위와 십이지장에 캐뉼라를 부착한 젖소에 in sacco와 mobile bag 기술을 이용하여 여러 가지 원산지와 종류가 다른 단백질 원료사료의 반추위내 분해율과 소장 내에서의 이용성을 평가한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 나일론백을 이용한 반추위내 단백질 분해율을 측정한 결과 UDP가에 있어 우모분(78.0), 옥수수글루텐(75.2), 어분(64.9), 알팔파 펠렛(46.6), 면실박(44.9), 채종박(42.9), 캐놀라박(41.4), 참깨박(40.6), 대두박(39.2), 해바라기씨박(30.4) 순으로 나타났다. 2. 11가지 사료를 mobile bag을 이용하여 전장 소화율을 측정한 결과 건물 소화율은 49.1%(야자박)에서 97.5%(대두박)까지, 단백질 소화율은 71.5%(우모분)에서 99.6%(대두박), 소화 가능한 UDP 함량은 63.5%(대두박)에서 99.0%(우모분)의 범위를 나타내었다. 3. 우모분, 알팔파 펠렛 및 어분 등과 같이 소화 가능한 UDP 함량이 낮은 것은 비소화성 섬유소에 결합되어 있는 ADF-N 함량도 다른 시료보다 매우 높았다. 4. 알팔파 펠렛은 지나친 열변성으로 인해 ADF-N 함량이 사료들 중에서 가장 높았으며 이로 인해 전장 단백질 소화율은 물론 소화 가능한 UDP함량도 매우 낮은 것으로 나타났다. This study was conducted to estimate the amount of rumen degradable protein(RDP), undegradable rumen dietary protein(UDP) and digestible UDP, thereby utilizing dietary protein sources in ruminant diets more effectively. Ruminally and intestinally cannulated cows were used for in sacco and mobile bag techiniques to estimate ruminal degradability and intestinal availability of protein feed ingredients. The results obtained were as follows; 1. Based on in sacco data, UDP values were ranked as feather meal(78.0), corn gluten meal(75.2), fish meal(64.9), alfalfa pellet(46.6), cottonseed meal(44.9), rapeseed meal(42.9), cannola meal(41.4), sesame oil meal(40.6), soybean meal(39.2), sunflower oil meal(30.4). 2. Actual degradabilities in total digestive tract for 11 selected feeds varied from 49.1%(palm kernel meal) to 97.5%(soybean meal) for DM and from 71.5%(feather meal) to 99.6%(soybean meal) for protein, and digestible UDP contents ranged from 63.5%(soybean meal) to 99.0%(feather meal). 3. Feather meal, alfalfa pellet and fish meal, containing low amount of digestible UDP, also have high concentrations of acid detergent fiber bound N(ADF-N) which is unavailable for animals. 4. Alfalfa pellet has highest in ADF-N concentrations among protein ingredients due to extreme heat damage, thus protein degradability in total digestive tract was also very low.

      • 본딩 웨이퍼 검사를 위한 모델링 연구

        본 논문에서는 레이저 빔 투과를 이용한 본딩 웨이퍼 검사 방법을 제안하고 검사 장치를 설계 구현하였다. 1064nm파장에서의 정상웨이퍼를 일정한 비율로 투과하였다. 본딩 불량으로 인한 웨이퍼의 기공은 두께에 따라 투과율이 현저하게 변화하여 기공 부분을 검출하였다. 이러한 기공은 두께의 변화가 있으며 광량의 변화하는 부분이 에어갭으로 인식 카메라로 쉽게 구분이 가능하였다.

      • 중합효소연쇄반응 기법을 이용한 돼지 증식성 장염 진단 기법의 확립

        This study was carried out to establish a efficient diagnosis method of pocine proliferative enteropathy (PPE) contributing major economic loss by inducing weight loss, poor growth and/or sudden death through out the growth period(6~22 wk). Therefore, in this study we established the PCR (polymerase chain reaction) which was a fast, specific and sensitive method for identification of Lawsonia intracellularis (L. intracellularis). We designed and synthesized primer on the 16S rDNA and p78 gene encoding L. intracellularis. Specificity of the method was confirmed by comparison of the PCR results using other enteric bacteria and the study has shown that PCR method was sensitive to detect lng of genomic DNA as a template. Also, the PCR method was applicable to the naturally affected pigs with PPE. Based on the results from this study, the PCR method could be used as a fast and specific dignistic tool for PPE.

      • 가축 생균제용 유산균의 분리 및 동정

        본 연구가 가축 생균제(direct-fed microbials)용 내산성 및 내담즙성이 우수한 유산균을 분리하기 위하여 실시하였다. 자돈 분변으로 분리한 유산균 중 혐기성 조건에서 성장이 우수한 8균주가 1차적으로 선발되었다. 선발 균주들 중 내산성 및 내담즙성이 우수한 JY-12 및 JY-73를 최종 선발하였다. 최종 선발 균주들을 형태학적 생리학적 특서에 따라 동정한 결과 Lactobacillus salivarius로 동정되었다. The objective of this study was isolation of acid and bile tolerant lactic acid bacteria for direct-fed microbials. Among lactic acid bacterial isolated from piglet feces, 8 strains having high anaerobic growth ability were selected. Among isolated strains, JY-12 and JY-73 strains were selected according to the acid and bile tolerant characteristics. Finally selected strain JY-12 and JY-73 were identified as Lactobacillus salivarius based on their morphological and biochemical characteristics.

      • 내산성 및 내담즙성이 우수한 양돈용 유산균의 선발

        본 연구는 가축의 장내에서 유익한 영향을 주는 유산균을 돼지의 분변으로부터 분리하고 내산성과 내담즙성이 뛰어난 균을 선별하여 유산균 생균체를 준비하고자 실시하였다. 분변에 섞여 있는 다른 균들과 산이나 담즙액에 약한 균들은 처음부터 분리하기 위하여 pH를 2.0으로 맞춘 MRS broth에 배양시키고 oxgall이 첨가된 배지에 도말하여 40개의 균주를 분리하였다. BCP배지를 이용해서 유산의 생성여부를 확인하고, O.D값과 pH를 측정하였으며, 그람염색과 형태관찰을 통하여 33개의 균주를 분리하였다. 분리된 균주중에서 산에 대한 내성이 있다고 판단되는 12개의 균주를 분리해냈고, 12개의 균주의 내산성 및 내담즙성을 3회에 걸쳐 시험하고 내산성과 내담즙성이 우수한 3개의 균주를 선별하였다. 마지막으로 담즙산 농도별 시험을 행함으로써 가축의 장까지 살아서 도달하기 위해 꼭 갖추어야 할 조건인 내산성과 내담즙성이 가장 좋은 #32-1 균주를 최종 선발하였다. 유산균이 생균제로서의 기능을 수해하려면 oxgall이 0.3% 함유된 배지에서 성장할 수 있을 정도의 내성을 갖고 있어야 한다는 보고가 있는데 #32-1 균주의 경우 담즙액의 농도가 3%인 배양액에서도 높은 생존률을 보임으로써 생균제로서 사용하기위해 갖고 있어야 할 담즙에 대한 내성이 우수하다고 판단하였다. This study was performed to screen lactic acid bacteria for the direct-fed-microbials. A lactic acid bacteria which has resistant to acid and bile salts were isolated from swine feces. Among the previously obtained acid tolerant strains, three of them show resistant to artifical gastric juice and bile. Finally, 321- stain was selected for good growth an high survival rate. The finally selected 32-1 stain was identified as Lactobacillus salivarius. The strain, which named L. salivarius JY 32-1, was able to tolerate acid condition down to pH 2.5 and could also tolerate bile at 3%.

      • Pseudomonas sp. 로부터 생산되는 phytase에 관한 연구

        Phytase (myo-inositol hexakisphosphate phosphohyrolase) is found naturally in plants and microorganisms. It catalyses pydrolysis of phytate to release inorganic phosphate, which would decrease the addition of phosphorus to feedstuffs for monogastric animals and thus reduce environmental pollution. this study was carried out for examination of characteristic of phytase from Pseudomonas sp. The phytase from Pseudomonas sp. was partially purified by DEAE-Sepharose chromatography and its molecular weight was estimated to 45kDa by SDS-PAGE Partially purified phytase was stable at pH values ranging from 5.0~7.0, and it was stable to 40℃.

        Fibonacci sequence, one of the simplest and most significant problems in Middle age, is not handled much in the current high school mathematics curriculum But it appears in only some of the high school text books partially. In this paper we demonstrate and prove the characteristics and properties of Fibonacci sequence, define the concepts of golden section and golden ratio, and find out examples of golden ratio and Fibonacci sequences in our nature and daily life. Hence this paper has a meaning in providing the guideline and teaching-learning materials for the teachers and researchers who study Fibonacci sequence systematically and constantly.
