‘Shipu(食譜)’ describes the system and history, various ingredients and recipes of the food. ‘Shipu’ has been compiled in earnest from the Song Dynasty. In this paper, 『Shanjiaqinggong(山家淸供)』, the most important source of information of the Southern Song Dynasty, was studied. In addition, a basic exploration of the book was conducted to examine the old recipes and food culture of China. 『Shanjiaqinggong』 was written by Lin Hong(林洪) lived in the Southern Song Dynasty and various editions of this book remain. 『Shanjiaqinggong』 has the following characteristics: First, this book has characteristics and value as a culinary manuscripts. This is because there are the diversity of food ingredients, the specificity and variety of cooking methods, the connection between meals and curing, traces of the Southern Song Dynasty vegetarian culture, and traces of the Southern Song Dynasty royal cuisine. Second, it connects food with literature by quoting literary works related to food. Third, it reflects local people and food culture of the Fujian(福建). In short, 『Shanjiaqinggong』 is a culinary manuscripts that must be studied for the study of old food and a material that should be used for the study of social culture in the Southern Song Dynasty.

Yangzhou(揚州) in the 18th century was a rich and mature cultural space. The salt merchant invested unselfishly in social and cultural fields, making Yangzhou a cultural center in Jiangnan(江南). During Qianlong, Lu Jianceng(1690-1768) was a competent official. When he was working in Yangzhou, he planned the cultural activities: first, he renovated Yangzhou's famous places. Second, he organized poetry societies with a large number of people to encourage literary creation. Third, he linked with money-needed scholars and salt merchants who had a huge collection of books to encourage academic activities. In Yangzhou, he planned a cultural event represented by poetic creation and academic activities, and gathered a large number of people, by holding a large-scale Red Bridge Poetry Society(紅橋修禊詩會) attended by more than 7,000 people, as well as by serving as a medium for linking scholars and salt merchants. He became the leader of Yangzhou's cultural space. Although it is a cultural activity involving many levels of interests, it is undeniable that Yangzhou became a cultural center in the 18th century because of Lu Jianceng's character.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>FBD (function block diagram) has been widely used to implement safety-critical software for PLC (programmable logic controller)-based digital nuclear reactor protection systems. The software should be developed strictly in accordance with safety programming guidelines such as NUREG/CR-6463. Software engineering tools of PLC vendors enable us to present structural analyses using FBD programs, but specific rules pertaining to the guidelines are enclosed within the commercial tools, and specific links to the guidelines are not clearly communicated. This paper proposes a set of rules on the structure of FBD programs in accordance with guidelines, and we develop an automatic analysis tool for FBD programs written in the PLCopen TC6 format. With the proposed tool, any FBD program that is transformed into an open format can be analyzed the PLC platform-independently. We consider a case study on FBD programs obtained from a preliminary version of a Korean nuclear power plant, and we demonstrate the effectiveness and potential of the proposed rules and analysis tool.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> FBD has been widely used to implement safety-critical software for PLC-based systems. </LI> <LI> The safety-critical software should be developed strictly with safety programming guidelines. </LI> <LI> There are no argued rules that have specific links to higher guidelines NUREG/CR-6463 PLC platform-independently. </LI> <LI> This paper proposes a set of rules on the structure of FBD programs with providing specific links to higher guidelines. </LI> <LI> This paper also provides CASE tool ‘<I>FBD Checker</I>’ for analyzing the structure of FBD. </LI> </UL> </P>

Objectives: Bone mineral density (BMD) is measured in the hip and posteroanterior spine; moreover, according to the 2019 International Society for Clinical Densitometry guidelines, unilateral hip can be used. This study aimed to determine whether there is a difference between the BMD of both the femurs in postmenopausal women. Methods: A total of 343 postmenopausal women were enrolled in this study from January 1, 2010, to December 31, 2019 at a single tertiary hospital. By using the Hologic® Horizon W DXA System, the femur and spine BMD was measured; BMD was recorded in g/cm2. Following regions were analyzed in both the femurs: the femur neck, the trochanter area, and total femur. Results: Mean age at imaging was 62 ± 9.7 years, and significant difference in the total BMD of both the femurs (P = 0.003) was observed. In secondary analysis, patients with osteoporosis showed significant contralateral BMD discrepancies in trochanter and total proximal femur BMD (P = 0.041 and P = 0.011, respectively). However, in women with normal BMD, no significant difference between the right and left femur BMD was observed. Furthermore, measurement of solely the unilateral hip can lead to a 16.9% of underdiagnosis in postmenopausal women. Conclusions: In conclusion, it is necessary to check BMD in both hips, particularly in patients suspected of osteoporosis.

<P>The complete nucleotide of mitochondrial DNA of a sea urchin <I>Mesocentrotus nudus</I> was determined for the first time. It is 15,709 bp in length, containing 2 rRNA, 22 tRNA and 13 protein-coding genes generally found in other echinoderm species. The gene order and structure of the genome are identical to those of other Strongylocentrotidae species. The genome was composed of 29.3% A, 23.4% C, 29.5% T and 17.8% G, showing a slight AT bias (58.8%). The G is the least used base and markedly lower at the third codon position (12.74%). Twelve of the 13 mitochondrial protein-coding genes use ATG as their start codon while the <I>ATP8</I> gene starts with GTG. The control region is 125 bp in length and contains a G-stretch of 19 nucleotides, a typical DNA structure of the echinoid mitochondrial genomes.</P>
