In this study, wind-battery hybrid power systems are designed, evaluated, and optimized for regular supply of electrical power at a designated minimum load level with no shortage. Our simulation uses lead-acid batteries and vanadium redox flow batteries (VRBs) for storage, and utilizes hourly wind speed data measured in 2012 at Mt. Taegi in South Korea. Twenty Vestas V80 wind turbines, each rated at 2 MW, are used as power generators, on the basis of an actual wind turbine project recently installed at Mt. Taegi. Sale to the main grid of electricity generated in excess of the minimum load offset the initial capital costs for installation of the wind turbines and batteries. Results show that the optimized wind-VRB hybrid system can supply more than 9 MW of regular electrical power at no cost. Even higher levels of production are profitable with sale of the wind-generated electricity directly to a demand site at a price greater than the price of sales to the main grid. A reduction in the VRB electrolyte costs and an increase in carbon taxes can also increase profitability.

최근의 Catalogue of Life에 따르면 현재 바구미상과(Curculionoidea)에 속하는 과의 종류는 Anthribidae, Attelabidae, Belidae, Brachyceridae, Brentidae, Caridae, Curculionidae., Dryophthoridae, †Eobelidae, Eurhynchidae, Ithyceridae, Nemonychidae, †Obrieniidae, †Ulyanidae 둥 14개이다(†화석분류군). 오랫동안 별개의 과로 다루어져왔던 Scolytinae아과 와 Platypodinae아과가 Curculionidae과에 포함되어 있으며, 벼물바구미(Lissorhptrus oryzophillus Kuschel) 등이 포함되어 있는 Erirhinidae과의 종들은 Brachyceridae에 포함되었다. Attelabidae과에 Rhynchitinae아과가 다시 포함되었고, Brentidae과에 Apioninae아과 및 Nanophynae아과들이 포함되었다. Bright (2014)는 Scolytinae아과와 Platypodinae아과의 독특한 형질을 바탕으로 이들이 별개의 과로 다루어져야 함을 제안하였으나, 계통분석을 포함하는 다양한 연구 결과들은 이들이 Curculionidae과에 포함되는 것을 뒷받침하고 있으며, 바구미상과 내의 분류단위 변화를 최소화하여 분류체계의 안정성에 기여할 것으로 보인다.

<P>We report the electrical properties of rubidium-incorporated methylammonium lead iodide ((Rb(x)MA(1-x))PbI3) films and the photovoltaic performance of (Rb(x)MA(1-x))PbI3 film-based p-i-n-type perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The incorporation of a small amount of Rb+ (x = 0.05) increases both the open circuit voltage (V-oc) and the short circuit photocurrent density (J(sc)) of the PSCs, leading to an improved power conversion efficiency (PCE). However, a high fraction of Rb+ incorporation (x = 0.1 and 0.2) decreases the J(sc) and thus the PCE, which is attributed to the phase segregation of the single tetragonal perovskite phase to a MA-rich tetragonal perovskite phase and a RbPbI3 orthorhombic phase at high Rb fractions. Conductive atomic force microscopic and admittance spectroscopic analyses reveal that the single-phase (Rb(0.05)MA(0.95))PbI3 film has a high electrical conductivity because of a reduced deep-level trap density. We also found that Rb substitution enhances the diode characteristics of the PSC, as evidenced by the reduced reverse saturation current (J(0)). The optimized (Rb(x)MA(1-x))PbI3 PSCs exhibited a PCE of 18.8% with negligible hysteresis in the photocurrent-voltage curve. The results from this work enhance the understanding of the effect of Rb incorporation into organic-inorganic hybrid halide perovskites and enable the exploration of Rb-incorporated mixed perovskites for various applications, such as solar cells, photodetectors, and light-emitting diodes.</P>

Since the identification and characterization of toll?like receptors (TLR) in Drosophila, numerous scientific studies have examined the role of TLRs in host innate immunity. Recent studies have suggested a convergence of the nuclear factor kappa B (NF?κB) signaling and cytokine production regulated by the cytosolic elicitor known as NLRs (nucleotide?binding domain and leucine?rich repeat containing domain receptors) as a key modulator in inflammatory diseases. Among the NLRs, NOD1 and NOD2 have been intensively investigated for its role in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). On the other hand, NLRs such as NLRP3, NLRP1, and NLRC4 (also known as IPAF) have been identified to form the inflammasome to activate downstream signaling molecules in response to pathogenic microbes. There is evidence to suggest that substantial crosstalk exists for the TLR and NLR signaling pathway in response to pathogen associated molecular pattern (PAMP). However, the substrate and the mechanistic role of NLRs are largely unknown in innate immune response. Understanding the signaling mechanisms by which NLRs recognize PAMP and other danger signals will shed light on elucidating the pathogenesis of various human inflammatory diseases such as IBD.

<P>High-quality, single-crystalline Sb-doped SnO<SUB>2</SUB> (ATO) nanobelts (NBs) surrounded by very thin and short TiO<SUB>2</SUB> rutile nanorods were synthesized by thermal evaporation followed by chemical bath deposition. An epitaxial relationship between ATO NBs and rutile-phase TiO<SUB>2</SUB> nanorods was clearly demonstrated on the basis of a crystallographic approach through high-resolution transmission electron microscopy analysis. Furthermore, the ATO@TiO<SUB>2</SUB> heteronanostructures as anodes for Li ion batteries showed enhanced cycling stability and superior rate capabilities. Purpose: For comparison of a semantic knowledge processing of the elderly, particularly the normal individuals and individuals with subjective memory impairment, this study aims to clarify what factors of semantic knowledge task could sensitively discriminate between the two groups by conducting various types of tasks and analyzing the aspects. Methods: High/low frequency category fluency test, concrete/abstract noun word defining test, and semantic association task were performed by 30 normal subjects and 30 subjective memory impaired subjects over 65 years old. Total and each subcategory scores were assessed for the category fluency test and word defining test, and correct response and reaction time were measured for the semantic association task. Results: It was found that there were significant differences between the two groups in the total score of the category fluency task (p < 0.001), low-frequency category score, abstract noun word defining task score (p < 0.05), and reaction time of semantic association task (p < 0.01). Conclusion: The result showed that in case of a target word with lower contact frequency and more abstract concept, the elderly with subjective memory impairment have difficulties in neural-networking activation of semantic knowledge and control of interruption stimulation when approaching a target word, with increased reaction time. This findings demonstrate that a semantic and lexical task has a clinical significance in discriminating a subjective memory impairment group.

In total, 7 species of two genera under the tribe Trachodini Gistel are recognized from Korea. Among them, four species, Trachodes ovipennis Morimoto et Miyakawa, Acicnemis azumai Morimoto et Miyakawa, A. palliata Pascoe, and A. shibatai Voss are reported for the first time from Korea. A key to the tribe Trachodini, brief descriptions and illustrations of the adults are provided.

<P><B>A novel device structure</B> is presented for amorphous oxide semiconductor thin‐film transistors with high performance as well as improved electrical/optical stress stability. The highly stable transistor devices are developed using composition‐modulated dual active layers. This approach could potentially be used to fabricate product‐level display devices using amorphous oxide semiconductors in the near future. </P>
