In this study, position controller designed in the using long transmission line for contrlling pneumatic cylinder apparatus. This apparatus form pneumatic cylinder, control valve, detected pressure and position sensor, transmission lines. In controlling pneumatic cylinder apparatus , short transmission lines don't have an effect on arround system and damping ratio, but long transmission line influence on system characteristic because of line characteristic. In the study, on that score, design position controller, inspect propriety of designing controller.

Pneumatic driving systems have a hard non-linear characteristics and a large friction force compared with driving power. Hence, it can not be robust against parameter uncertainties, modelling error, disturbance and noise. In this study, we apply a mixed H₂/H∞ control to the generalized plant for a pneumatic driving apparatus system involved parameter uncertainty and disturbance. In order to design the H₂/H∞ controller, we use the LMI technique. To evaluate control performance and robust stability of designed controller, we compare it with the conventional controller(PVA controller) using the simulation results. As a result, it can be know that designed controller shows the better robust stability than the conventional controller.
공압 실린더의 신뢰성 평가를 위한 형상모수 추정에 관한 연구

In this study, we are to analyze the life in the same load condition and the main failure mode of double-acting pneumatic cylinders that are usually applied in the factory automation line. Pneumatic cylinders have complicated failure cause because they are organized as a complex of various elements. Therefore, in this paper, we analyzed the main failure mode of pneumatic cylinders, and then performed life test and performance test according to the international standards. On the basis of these processes, we estimate shape parameter that is the main factor for the calculation of test time for the reliability of pneumatic cylinders and their data analysis of life distribution.

Pneumatic system is widely applied in various industry because it have a many advantage(low cost, high safety, etc..). For design of pneumatic system, accurate flow measurement is required. In this study, compressible fluid flow measurement apparatus was designed and built. It uses an isothermal chamber that can approximate isothermal condition. Therefore, it can be measured for flow-rate using pressure response of isothermal chamber. As a result, this apparatus can be measured for sonic conductance and critical pressure ratio of pneumatic components and it required less time and energy than conventional flow meter. The effectiveness of the designed apparatus is proved by experimental result.
