        Research on Creative Works using Hair Pieces and Public Value

        Purpose: Aiming for beauty is a privilege given to humans and is accelerating with the changes of the times. Human being s awareness of beauty began when they came in contact with and experienced everything visually, and the standard of beauty began in nature. This researcher produced a hair creation work by expressing the beauty of aroma color using a hairpiece. Method: In this study, the motif of aromatic plants with natural beauty and healing functions. The work was composed by using the characteristic color of each plant as the representative color. Aroma plants suitable for characteristic colors were selected, and in order to maximize the beauty of the colors and motifs, the hairpiece was dyed and then the artwork was created in consideration of formativeness. The study on the production of the work took about 50 days between September and October of 2021. Results: The researchers conducted research on color and aromatic plants, and the aromatic plants selected as motifs for the final work were pink saffron, red rose, yellow citrus lemon, green eucalyptus, and purple lavender. Therefore, a total of 5 works reminiscent of these plants and colors were derived after considering formativeness using hairpieces. The order of producing each piece is dyeing, drying, shaping the shape, making a hat, and con-necting motifs and hats. Conclusion: It was an opportunity to create various works through color dyeing using a hair piece. However, since each material was expressed only in a stable form with a similar hair piece production method, there was a lack of expressing the shape of flowers or plants using color. Since there was a dissatisfaction with a more creative and free expression, it is thought that a research on a new original technique is needed through functional perfection and proficiency with craftsmanship in subsequent works.

        Larval stages of Callipogon relictus (Semenov) (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae), a gigantic longhorn beetle designated as a natural monument of Korea, has never been studied as it is hardly discovered in nature. The DNA barcoding gene, mt-COI, was used to identify a dead larva found in the Gwangneung forest of the Korea National Arboretum. Based on the result, we provide the morphology of the immature stage, with the illustrations of diagnostic characteristics.

        Feasibility of a newly developed automatic foot stretching exercise device in older adults with chronic stroke

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the feasibility of a newly developed automatic passive stretching exercise device called “Foot Stretcher” for patients with chronic stroke by examining its effect on functional disability, stiffness, strength, range of motion (ROM), static postural control and gait parameters, and user experiences with the device. The combined method of quantitative and qualitative analyses was adopted in the study. Five patients who had a chronic stroke performed passive stretching exercise by using the device within patient-selected dorsiflexion and plantar flexion angles for 30 min/day, 3 days/week, for 3 weeks. Foot function index (FFI), seated and standing arch height index (AHI), arch rigidity index (ARI), muscle strength and ROM of the affected side, and static postural control and gait parameters were measured before and after the intervention. User experience was assessed through individual interview at the end of the intervention period. Significant improvements were observed in the FFI (P = 0.043), seated AHI (P = 0.042), ARI (P = 0.043), and muscle strength in plantar flexion (P = 0.043). All the participants had positive attitudes toward the device. The automatic foot stretching exercise device was feasible for improving the patients’ functional ability and foot arch stiffness, but not enough to improve muscle strength and ROM in dorsiflexion, and static postural control and gait parameters.

      • 투명 전도막 개선을 통한 CIGS 박막태양전지 효율 향상

        In this study, sputtering method was used to grow Ga-dopes ZnO films on a CIGS absorber layer, in order to examine the effect of TCO on properties of CIGS solar cell devices. Structural, electrical and optical properties were investigated by varied thickness of Ga-dopes ZnO films. Also, relation to the application as a window layer in CIGS thin film solar cell were studied. It was found that the electrical and structural properties of ZnO:Ga film improved with increasing its thickness. However, the optical properties degraded. Jsc of the fabricated CIGS based solar cells was significantly influenced by the variation of the ZnO:Ga window layer thickness. Because ZnO:Ga window layer is one of the Rs factors in CIGS solar cell. Rs has the biggest influence on efficiency characteristic. In order to obtain high efficiency of CIGS solar cell, ZnO:Ga window layer should be fabricated with electrically and optically optimized.

      • Warehouse rental market segmentation using spatial profile regression

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Warehouse rental markets can be segmented into multiple submarkets in which rental storage units share similar structural characteristics in that they are reasonably close substitutes for one another with their geographical proximity. Improved understanding of warehouse rental market segmentation enables warehouse owners to effectively formulate marketing strategies and warehouse renters to reduce search costs. Previous studies either assumed <I>a priori</I> submarkets or used cluster analysis to delineate submarkets based entirely on the similarity of rental prices. However, such approaches have limitations in addressing associations between warehouse rents and their determinants because of the potential spatial autocorrelation and multicollinearity in warehouse rent data sets. In the present study, we address the gap in the literature by introducing a method known as Bayesian spatial profile regression for warehouse rental submarket segmentation. This approach allows us to assess meaningful relationships between warehouse rents and their determinants as a unique profile for each submarket, while accounting for spatial autocorrelation in warehouse rents and multicollinearity among their determinants. In a case study, we demonstrated an application of spatial profile regression to a warehouse rent data set for the Seoul Metropolitan Area (SMA) of South Korea and identified two submarkets: high-rent and low-rent groups. The high-rent group was strongly associated with proximity to the urban center in Seoul and Incheon Port, higher floor area ratio, relatively older building age, higher land price, transportation, and automated warehousing services. The associations for the low-rent group were the opposite of the high-rent group and featured proximity to industrial complexes away from the urban center.         제주도 현무암에 포획된 페리도타이트에 산출되는 맨틀 기원의 CO₂-유체포유물

        제주도 현무암에 산출되는 첨정석 페리도타이트 포획암에 CO₂-유체포유물이 포획되어 있다. 이 CO₂-유체포유물들은 규칙적인 결정면으로 둘러싸여 있으며 세립의 네오블라스트 결정에는 일차포유물로, 조립의 반상쇄성에는 이차포유물로 산출된다. 냉각/가열 실험에서 CO₂-유체포유물의 삼중점은 -57.1℃(±0.9℃)로서 대체로 균질하다. 이는 이 CO₂-유체포유물들이 거의 순수하게 CO₂로 이루어져 있음을 의미한다. 그러나 균질화 온도는 -39℃(ρ=1.12 g/㎤))에서 23oC(ρ=0.82 g/㎤))로 넓은 범위에 걸쳐 나타나며, 이는 많은 유체포유물이 포획된 이후 재평형 되어졌음을 반영한다. 일차/이차포유물과 균질화온도 사이에 체계적인 차이는 없다. 가장 낮은 균질화온도(즉, 가장 높은 밀도)를 보이는 유체포유물에서 계산된 포획 압력은 ≈0.9 ㎬이다. 제주 페리도타이트와 CO₂-유체포유물의 조직적 특성과 낮은 균질화 온도는 CO₂-유체가 맨틀기원의 유체로서 상부 맨틀암석권에서 페리도타이트의 재결정화 작용 동안 존재하던 유체로 해석된다. CO₂-유체의 포획은 제주 페리도타이트의 진화과정에서 후기의 사건이며, 상부맨틀 암석권의 상부(천부)에서 일어났음을 지시하고 있다. Negative crystal shaped CO₂-rich fluid inclusions, trapped as primary inclusions in neoblasts and as secondary inclusions in porphyroblasts, were studied in spinel peridotite xenoliths from Jeju Island. Based on microthermometric experiments, the solid phase melts at -57.1℃(±0.9℃) with no other observable melting events, indicating that the trapped fluid is mostly CO₂. The homogenization temperatures show a much wider range from -39℃(ρ=1.12 g/㎤)) to 23oC(ρ=0.82 g/㎤)), suggesting that most of the inclusions (originally trapped at mantle conditions) re-equilibrated to lower density values. Nevertheless, the highest density CO₂ in our fluid inclusions is consistent with entrapment of fluids at upper mantle pressures (and depths). The calculated trapping pressure from CO₂-rich fluid inclusions that appear to be free from re-equilibrium, e.g., showing the lowest homogenization temperatures, is ≈0.9 ㎬. Based on the petrographic evidences, the fluid entrapment can be regarded as a late stage event in the evolution of the shallow lithospheric mantle.
