We proposed a new classification method for stress-bearing structures in very-deep roadways. We conducted tests for roadwayengineeringmechanical properties, including rock mechanical tests and ground stress measurement of two caverns in very-deepwells. We suggested a classification method for stress-bearing structures based on shear stress. Tests revealed that rock strength in theshear direction was the lowest; the stress distributions of acoustic emission and hollow inclusion were highly similar. Based on theroadway-engineering mechanical properties of two caverns and numerical simulation and in-situ tests, the key bearing structureswere classified based on the concentrated shear stress. In deep caverns, shear stress was more concentrated on the softer surroundingrock, the key bearing structure areas, and the more seriously fractured surrounding rocks. Using the loose circle in-situ test, wecompared the classification method of the key bearing structures with other classification methods. The results revealed agreementwith the classification methods used for the key bearing structures. The deformation in-situ test showed that the strata convergence ofconcentrated shear stress areas developed quickly. Therefore, the phenomena of concentrated shear stress and the expanded range ofkey bearing structures are the structural instability mechanisms of deep roadways.
Possible role of Pax-6 in promoting breast cancer cell proliferation and tumorigenesis

Pax 6, a member of the paired box (Pax) family, has been implicated in oncogenesis. However, its therapeutic potential has been never examined in breast cancer. To explore the role of Pax6 in breast cancer development, a lentivirus based short hairpin RNA (shRNA) delivery system was used to knockdown Pax6 expression in estrogen receptor (ER)-positive (MCF-7) and ER-negative (MDA-MB-231) breast cancer cells. Effect of Pax6 silencing on breast cancer cell proliferation and tumorigenesis was analyzed. Pax6-RNAi-lentivirus infection remarkably downregulated the expression levels of Pax6 mRNA and protein in MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cells. Accordingly, the cell viability, DNA synthesis, and colony formation were strongly suppressed, and the tumorigenesis in xenograft nude mice was significantly inhibited. Moreover, tumor cells were arrested at G0/G1 phase after Pax6 was knocked down. Pax6 facilitates important regulatory roles in breast cancer cell proliferation and tumor progression, and could serve as a diagnostic marker for clinical investigation. Recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) is rarely used in load-carrying structural members. To widen its structural application, the compressive behavior of a promising type of composite column, steel-fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) doubletube confined RAC column, has been experimentally and analytically investigated in this study. The objectives are the different performance of such columns from their counterparts using natural aggregate concrete (NAC) and the different mechanisms of the double-tube and single-tube confined concrete. The single-tube confined concrete refers to that in concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) columns and concrete-filled FRP tubular (CFFT) columns. The test results showed that the use of recycled coarse aggregates (RCA) affected the axial load-strain response in terms of deformation capacity but such effect could be eliminated with the increasing confinement. The composite effect can be triggered by the double confinement of the steel and carbon FRP (CFRP) tubes but not by the steel and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) FRP tubes. The proposed analysis-oriented stress-strain model is capable to capture the load-deformation history of such steel-FRP double-tube confined concrete columns under axial compression.
Quadrilateral RAC filled FRP tubes: Compressive behavior, design and finite element models

The need for carbon neutrality in the world strives the construction industry to reduce the use of construction materials. Aiming to this, recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) could be used as it reduces the carbon dioxide emissions. Currently, RAC is mainly used in non-structural members of civil constructions, seldom used in structural members. To broaden its structural use, a new type of composite column, i.e., the square and rectangular RAC filled FRP tubes (CFFTs), has been concerned in this study. The investigation on their axial compressive behavior through physical test and numerical analysis demonstrated that the load-carrying capacity of such column is reduced with the increase of replacement ratio of recycled aggregate and aspect ratio of section but can be improved by the increase of FRP confining stiffness and corner radius, said capacity can be equivalent to their steel reinforced concrete counterparts. At failure, the hoop strain at corner of tube is unexpectedly smaller than that at flat side of the tube although the FRP tube ruptured at its corner first, revealing a premature failure. Besides, a design-oriented stress-strain model of concrete and an analysis-oriented finite element model are proposed to predict the load-strain response of square and rectangular CFFT columns, which facilitates the engineering use of RAC in loadcarrying structural members.

Purpose - This study analyzed the correlation and influence between social support, trust (seller, brand), and continuous purchase intention in C2C social commerce in China. Design/methodology/approach - To test the hypothesis, SPSS and Smart PLS 3.0 statistical packages were used based on the collected data. Findings - First, it was confirmed that social support (emotional support, informational support) had a positive effect on trust in sellers. Second, it was found that trust in sellers had a positive effect on brand trust. Third, both seller trust and brand trust have a positive effect on consumers continuous purchase intention. Research implications or Originality - When consumers gain emotional and informational support from sellers, trust in sellers will be effectively improved. Companies wishing to improve brand credibility of their products will have to outsource the sale of their products to trusted sellers. The C2C social commerce platform should build its own trust rating system, recommend sellers with high reliability ratings, and encourage sellers to provide consumers with a lot of information about their brand.
Improved Fully Homomorphic Encryption over the Integers with Shorter Public Keys

Fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) is a “holy grail” of cryptography. However, it is not yet adopted in practice because no known scheme is efficient. In this paper, we mainly focus on how to reduce the public key sizes in FHE. Based on Dijk et al.’s FHE scheme (DGHV) and Gentry’s fully homomorhpic technology, we propose two schemes with shorter public keys by encrypting with a combination of the public key elements to replace a linear form in DGHV scheme and a quadratic form in Coron et al.’s scheme. Compared with DGHV scheme and Coron et al.’s scheme, our schemes can greatly reduce the public key sizes, which make our schemes more efficient. Furthermore, we prove the security of our schemes based on difficulties of the approximate greatest common divisor (AGCD) problem and the sparse subset sum problem.

Grapholita molesta (Busck) (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) is a notorious pest of many Rosaceae crops worldwide. Enhancement of trap efficiency of its sex pheromone was devised by addition of E-β-ocimene and E-β-farnesene. The addition of E-β-ocimene or E-β-farnesene to sex pheromone increased electroantennogram response of male G. molesta compared to sex pheromone alone. Blend of pheromone and E-β-ocimene or E-β-farnesene in 1:0.1 increased the upwind flight and landing behaviors. Furthermore, field experiments showed that sex lures with Eβ-ocimene, or /and E-β-farnesene, enhanced trapping efficiency compared to sex pheromone alone. These results may provide the basis for the development of efficient pest management systems against G. molesta using plant volatiles and insect sex pheromones.
