Emotion-aware Task Scheduling for Au-tonomous Vehicles in Software-defined Edge Networks

Autonomous vehicles are gradually being regarded as the mainstream trend of future devel-opment of the automobile industry. Autonomous driving networks generate many intensive and delay-sensitive computing tasks. The storage space, computing power, and battery ca-pacity of autonomous vehicle terminals cannot meet the resource requirements of the tasks. In this paper, we focus on the task scheduling problem of autonomous driving in soft-ware-defined edge networks. By analyzing the intensive and delay-sensitive computing tasks of autonomous vehicles, we propose an emotion model that is related to task urgency and changes with execution time and propose an optimal base station (BS) task scheduling (OBSTS) algorithm. Task sentiment is an important factor that changes with the length of time that computing tasks with different urgency levels remain in the queue. The algorithm uses task sentiment as a performance indicator to measure task scheduling. Experimental results show that the OBSTS algorithm can more effectively meet the intensive and delay-sensitive requirements of vehicle terminals for network resources and improve user service experience.

This paper addresses the problem of output feedback stabilization for stochastic nonlinear time-varying delay systems with an unknown output function. A remarkable feature of the system to be considered is the simultaneous presence of a continuous unknown sensitivity function and the stochastic disturbances, which have not been treated together before. A new observer is designed by using a dynamic gain without using the information on unknown time-varying delay and nonlinearities. With the aid of the observer, an output feedback controller is constructed by the stochastic double-domination method, where two gains are used to handle the unknown output function and nonlinearities. The performance of the system is analyzed in detail via two integral Lyapunov functions. Finally, the efficiency of the control strategy is illustrated by a simulation example.

Volatile compounds (VOCs) are an important factor affecting meat quality. However, the characteristic VOCs in different parts of donkey meat remain unknown. Accordingly, this study represents a preliminary investigation of VOCs to differentiate between different cuts of donkey meat by using headspace–gas chromatography–ion mobility spectrometry (HS–GC–IMS) combined with chemometrics analysis. The results showed that the 31 VOCs identified in donkey meat, ketones, alcohols, aldehydes, and esters were the predominant categories. A total of 10 VOCs with relative odor activity values ≥1 were found to be characteristic of donkey meat, including pentanone, hexanal, nonanal, octanal, and 3-methylbutanal. The VOC profiles in different parts of donkey meat were well differentiated using three- and two-dimensional fingerprint maps. Nine differential VOCs that represent potential markers to discriminate different parts of donkey meat were identified by chemometrics analysis. These include 2-butanone, 2- pentanone, and 2-heptanone. Thus, the VOC profiles in donkey meat and specific VOCs in different parts of donkey meat were revealed by HS–GC–IMS combined with chemometrics, whcih provided a basis and method of investigating the characteristic VOCs and quality control of donkey meat.
Characterization of Newcastle disease virus obtained from toco toucan

Given that the current Newcastle disease virus (NDV) infection in wild birds poses the threat to poultry, surveillance of Newcastle disease in captive wild birds was carried out in Jilin, China in 2018. Here, an NDV strain obtained from toco toucan was firstly characterized. The results showed that the F gene of the NDV isolate Toucan/China/3/2018 is classified as genotype II in class II. Sequence analysis of the F0 cleavage site was 113RQGR/L117, which supports the result of the intracerebral pathogenicity index assay indicating classification of the isolate as low-pathogenicity. Experimental infection demonstrated that Toucan/China/3/2018 can effectively replicate and transmit among chickens. To our knowledge, this is the first report on genetically and pathogenically characterizing NDV strain isolated from toucan, which enriches the epidemiological information of NDV in wild birds.

Although buried corrugated steel pipe culverts have been studied intensively in the past decades, the stress development law between crest and valley during backfi lling process is still not analyzed suffi ciently, which is an important technical diffi culty for the construction of this kind of structures. In this paper, a three-dimensional fi nite element model (FEM) is developed to simulate the behavior of buried pipes during construction and the stress development law within a wavelength (curvature of corrugated pipe) ranging at the crown and the spring-line inside the pipe is proposed. Based on the measured stress data of a porous continuous corrugated steel plate pipe-arch culvert, the proposed three-dimensional FEM and stress development law are verifi ed. The results show that the stress variations in a wavelength range of corrugated steel plate are trigonometric curves. With the increase of the backfi lling height, the ratio of the stress at the crest or valley, to that of the spring-line is reduced, while the axial force is increased. The absolute value of the bending moment decays and the pipe culvert tends to be ring compression as the backfi lling height increased. The study verifi es the "ring compression theory" and the necessity of the minimum burial depth in design. Meanwhile, some design and construction guidelines which is necessary for the structure safety during backfi lling process are provided for buried corrugated steel pipe culverts.
A Comprehensive Review of Lipidomics and Its Application to Assess Food Obtained from Farm Animals

Lipids are one of the major macronutrients essential for adequate growth and maintenance of human health. Their structure is not only complex but also diverse, which makes systematic and holistic analyses challenging; consequently, little is known regarding the relationship between phenotype and mechanism of action. In recent years, rapid advancements have been made in the fields of lipidomics and bioinformatics. In comparison with traditional approaches, mass spectrometry-based lipidomics can rapidly identify as well as quantify >1,000 lipid species at the same time, facilitating comprehensive, robust analyses of lipids in tissues, cells, and body fluids. Accordingly, lipidomics is now being widely applied in various fields, particularly food and nutrition science. In this review, we discuss lipid classification, extraction techniques, and detection and analysis using lipidomics. We also cover how lipidomics is being used to assess food obtained from livestock and poultry. The information included herein should serve as a reference to determine how to characterize lipids in animal food samples, enhancing our understanding of the application of lipidomics in the field in animal husbandry.

A series of the modified Pt/SiO2–Al2O3 diesel oxidation catalysts with different WO3 loading were prepared through co-impregnation method. With an optimum additive loading of 2 wt% WO3, the catalyst significantly improved the performance and its stability. Compared to the free-tungsten sample, the catalyst increased the maximum conversion of NO by 5–10% and decreased the reaction temperature for 30% NO conversion by 7–28 C. It was found that there exist the electron and structure interaction between platinum and tungsten species. The interactions can generate and maintain more Pt sites in metallic state for the catalytic oxidation with enhanced activity and stability.

FeWx/Ce0.68Zr0.32O2 (x = 0, 0.35, 0.7, 1.03, 1.38) catalysts with different molar ratios (x) of W/Fe wereprepared for NH3-SCR. The experimental results showed that catalytic performances of catalysts wereobviously improved by adjusting the molar ratio of W/Fe. FeW1.03/Ce0.68Zr0.32O2 catalyst with W/Fe of1.03 displayed the best catalytic performance, it could obtain higher than 95% NOx conversion and nearly100% N2 selectivity in the temperature range of 250–435 8C. The characterization results indicated thatmore active species of Fe3+, chemical adsorbed oxygen species and surface acid sites would togethercontribute to the excellent NH3-SCR performance of FeW1.03/Ce0.68Zr0.32O2 catalyst.
