Objective: To study the relationship between clinical pathologic characteristics, treatment modalities and prognostic factors in HER-2 (Human Epidermal growth factor Receptor-2) overexpressed breast carcinoma. Materials and Methods: Major clinico-pathological factors including therapeutic modalities and survival status of 371 breast cancer patients with HER2 over-expression, teated at Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital from March of 2002 to December of 2010 were retrospectively studied, with special attention focused on survival-related factors. Results: The median age of the total 371 patients in this study was 48 years at time of diagnosis, among which, the leading pathological type was infiltrating ductal carcinoma (92.5%); 62.8% presented with a primary tomor larger than 2 cm in diameter at diagnosis, 51.0% had axillary lymph node (ALN) metastases; ER (Estrogen receptor)/PR (Progesterone receptor) double negative occured in 52.8% of cases, and PCNA (proliferation cell nuclear antigen) (+++) was found in 55.1%. HER-2 overexpressed patients were usually in advanced stage when the diagnosis was made (72.8% at stages IIA~IIIC). The prognosis and survival were assessed in 259 patients with complete follow-up data. 5-year DFS (disease-free survival) and OS (overall survival) rate was 68.0% and 78.0% respectively. Univariate analysis revealed that age, tumor size, ALN metastases, LVSI (lymph-vascular space involvement), PCNA status, hormonal therapy, chemotherapy cycles, and HER-2 overexpression, correlated closely with the prognosis. ALN metastases, LVSI, PCNA status and chemotherapy cycles were independent predictors of survival. Conclusions: HER-2 overexpressed breast cancer has special clinical and pathological characteristics, with advanced clinical stages and high rate of ER/PR double negative. Lymph node metastases, LVSI, PCNA and chemotherapy cycles are independent predictors of prognosis.

This paper aims to demonstrate the semantic, functional change of Qian and figure out the cause which affects the loss of dynamic motion among Qian. In this paper, we investigate a large sum of diachronic and synchronic Chinese texts based on Chinese corpus. Evidences are given to show that Archaic Chinese Qian has been a motion verb involved < motion > and < path > in the motion event which was proposed by Talmy, L.(2000a, 200b). However Qian has lost its function of motion gradually and only the function of static location survived in Mandarin Chinese. In order to account for the historical change of Qian, this paper gives a brief review of the distribution and usage about Qian in different Chinese historical stages and classifies the sentences in which Qian occurs into four types: ‘Bare Verb-Qian’, ‘Qian+Common Verb’, ‘Qian+Motion Verb’ and ‘Qian+Common Noun’. In conclusion, we figure out that there are several factors which may result in the loss of the motion about Qian. First, asymmetry between Archaic Qian and Hou. Second, reanalysis of the ‘Qian+Verb’ structure. Third, the change of Chinese conceptualization pattern etc. The emergence and development of 處置式(e.g. BA construction) and 使成式(e.g. SHI construction) in Ancient Chinese has also be a part which may affects the loss of the motion about Qian.

The importance of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) in human nutrition and disease prevention was demonstrated four decades ago. EPA and DHA are important PUFAs. Separation of EPA and DHA has been carried out under supercritical condition by using a silver ion modified molecular sieve 13X (MS13X). MS13X was modified by silver nitrate, and the modification reaction was optimized by stir model, the concentration of silver nitrate and temperature. It was found that the optimized reaction conditions are stirring with nitrogen bubbling, 0.1 mol/l silver nitrate and 20 8C in the dark. Results indicated that 1 g MS13X could be bound by 7.4 mg silver ion, namely 12.4% sodium of MS13X was exchanged. The modified MS13X (called SN13X) displays maximum adsorption capacity of EPA and DHA at 40 8C, with 37.4 mg/g and 24.2 mg/g, respectively. SN13X was packed in the column (20 cm 1 cm) under supercritical fluid apparatus, and adsorption, washing and elution of EPA and DHAwere carried out by gradient pressure. In this study, the purity of EPA and DHAwere enhanced to 88.4% and 84.3% from 20.4% and 12.7%, with recovery of 45.8% and 39.2%, respectively.

This paper presents an analytical approach to calculate the buckling load of the cylindrical ring structures subjected to both hydrostatic and hydrodynamic pressures. Based on the conservative law of energy and Timoshenko beam theory, a theoretical formula, which can be used to evaluate the critical pressure of buckling, is first derived for the simplified cylindrical ring structures. It is assumed that the hydrodynamic pressure can be treated as an equivalent hydrostatic pressure as a cosine function along the perimeter while the thickness ratio is limited to 0.2. Note that this paper limits the deformed shape of the cylindrical ring structures to an elliptical shape. The proposed analytical solutions are then compared with the numerical simulations. The critical pressure is evaluated in this study considering two possible failure modes: ultimate failure and buckling failure. The results show that the proposed analytical solutions can correctly predict the critical pressure for both failure modes. However, it is not recommended to be used when the hydrostatic pressure is low or medium (less than 80% of the critical pressure) as the analytical solutions underestimate the critical pressure especially when the ultimate failure mode occurs. This implies that the proposed solutions can still be used properly when the subsea vehicles are located in the deep parts of the ocean where the hydrostatic pressure is high. The finding will further help improve the geometric design of subsea vehicles against both hydrostatic and hydrodynamic pressures to enhance its strength and stability when it moves underwater. It will also help to control the speed of the subsea vehicles especially they move close to the sea bottom to prevent a catastrophic failure.

Tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha-induced protein 8 (TNFAIP8 or TIPE) is a recently identified protein considered to be associated with carcinogenesis. To investigate its expression pattern in pancreatic cancer patients and to analyse its correlation with clinicopathological significance and the expression levels of epithelial growth factor receptor (EGFR), immunohistochemistry was performed to detect the TNFAIP8 and EGFR proteins in pancreatic cancers, pancreatitis tissues, and healthy controls. The results showed stronger staining of TNFAIP8 protein in pancreatic cancer tissues compared with normal pancreas tissue. Furthermore, in 56 patients with pancreatic cancer, the expression levels of TNFAIP8 in patients with low tumor stage was higher than that with high tumor stage, and correlated with tumor staging and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). Furthermore, TNFAIP8 expression positively correlated with EGFR levels (r=0.671135, P<0.05). These results indicate that TNFAIP8 may play important roles in the progression of pancreatic cancer.
Experimental study on the wake characteristics of the circular cylinder with the V-groove surface
Liu Ping,Wang Deqiang,Yan Fei 대한조선학회 2022 International Journal of Naval Architecture and Oc Vol.14 No.1
In order to understand the wake characteristics for the circular cylinder with the V-groove surface, the Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD) technology are used to measure and analyze the flow field velocity and the flow characteristic of the wake flow of the circular cylinder with the V-groove surface. This study focuses on the length of the velocity gradient, the Reynolds stress, the turbulent kinetic energy, the vortex shedding process, and the velocity fluctuating characteristics of flow field with POD technology. Compared with the smooth cylinder, the velocity gradient of the circular cylinder with the V-groove surface are larger. The peak values of Reynolds stress of the circular cylinders with the V-groove surface (the peak values are 0.33, 0.28 and 0.24) is lower than that of the smooth cylinder (0.39), and the peak values of turbulent kinetic energy are also lower. The recirculation region of the circular cylinders with the V-groove surface is larger, the length of the recirculation region are increased by 5.9%, 13.0% and 16.1% respectively, and it implies the suppression of vortex by the V-groove structure. Otherwise, the correlation of POD mode coefficients is disturbed for the circular cylinders with the V-groove surface, further proving that the effect of V-groove structure on vortex shedding.
