        AUV hull lines optimization with uncertainty parameters based on six sigma reliability design

        Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV), which are becoming more and more important in ocean exploitation tasks, needs energy conservation urgently when sailing the complex mission path in long time cruise. As hull lines optimization design becomes the key factor, which closely related with resistance, in AUV preliminary design stage, uncertainty parameters need to be considered seriously. In this research, Myring axial symmetry revolution body with parameterized expression is assumed as AUV hull lines, and its travelling resistance is obtained via modified DATCOM formula. The problems of AUV hull lines design for the minimum travelling resistance with uncertain parameters are studied. Based on reliability-based optimization design technology, Design For Six Sigma (DFSS) for high quality level is conducted, and is proved more reliability for the actual environment disturbance.

      • Efficient slope reliability analysis using a surrogate-assisted normal search particle swarm optimization algorithm

        Sampling of training data is the most important step in active learning slope reliability analysis, which controls the analysis accuracy. In this study, a novel surrogate-assisted normal search particle swarm optimization (SANSPSO) was proposed to enhance the accuracy and robustness of existing methodologies. In SANSPSO, the sampling process was considered a minimum problem with an objective function defined as the absolute value of the performance function. Initiated with a normal search paradigm and supplemented by three algorithm strategies, this approach seeks to preserve the continuity of the solution while refining the algorithm’s efficacy and efficiency. To reduce computation cost, surrogate-assistance was used, in which a surrogate model substitutes the objective function in most iterations. This surrogate model evolves during the iteration process and ultimately replaces the actual performance function within Monte Carlo simulation. Finally, this study presents a comparative study with five state-of-the-art methods across four explicit problems and three engineering cases, where test data suggest that the SANSPSO methodology yields a 20% improvement in accuracy and a 30% rise in stability under different dimensional problems relative to the most efficacious of the alternate methods assessed because of the improved and more consistent prediction of limit state function. These findings substantiate the validity and robustness of the SANSPSO approach.

        Study on Legal Governance Guarantee of Digital Economy Development in China

        Disruptive technological change has made human society leap over the era of agricultural and industrial economy and ushered in the era of digital economy. The development of digital economy has become a key force in the implementation of Chinas major national strategy, which is of great significance to the implementation of supply-side reform and innovation-driven development strategy. European and American countries are committed to improving the strategic policies and supporting legal systems for the development of digital economy. China should learn from the successful experience of Europe and the United States, speed up the construction of a modern economic system, enhance its core competitiveness, establish a legal protection system for the development of the digital economy, and create Chinas first-mover advantage in the digital economy. This research systematically sorts out the development status and trend of Chinas digital economy, points out the legal dilemma of the development of Chinas digital economy from the perspective of the actual analysis and the ought to be analyzed, and makes a detailed analysis of the European Union and the United States key laws, regulations and policy planning for the development of digital economy. Finally, this research puts forward the basic conception of legal guarantee for the development of Chinas digital economy from three aspects of concept, principle and system.

        Low beta superconducting cavity system design for HIAF iLinac

        A superconducting ion-Linac (iLinac), which is supposed to work as the injector in the High Intensity heavy-ion Accelerator Facility project, is under development at the Institute of Modern Physics (IMP), Chinese Academy of Sciences. The iLinac is a superconducting heavy ion linear accelerator approximately 100 meters long and contains 96 superconducting cavities in two types of 17 cyromodules. Two types of superconducting resonators (quarter-wave resonators with a frequency of 81.25 MHz and an optimal beta β = v/c = 0.07 called QWR007 and half-wave resonators with a frequency of 162.5 MHz and an optimal beta β = 0.15 called HWR015) have been investigated. The cavity design included extensive multi-parameter electromagnetic simulations and mechanical analysis, and its results are described in details. The fundamental power coupler and cavity dynamic tuner designs are also presented in this article. The prototypes are under manufacturing and expected to be ready in 2023.

        Modified WFRFT-based Transform Domain Communication System Incorporating with Spectrum Mismatching

        The transform domain communication system (Hereinafter referred to as TDCS) takes on numerous advantages, inclusive of anti-jamming and low probability of detection. Yet its application is confined by the consistent spectrum in the transmitter and receiver, which is not possible in the case of a huge distance exsits between them. In this paper, a TDCS based modified weighted fractional fourier transform (WFRFT) is proposed to solve the problem resulting from spectrum mismatching for TDCS application. The amplitude and phase information are incorporated with the TDCS signals and transmit to the receiver together in the wake of a modified WFRFT. The basic function and the TDCS signals shall be accessible to the receivers in the wake of an inverse WFRFT transform, which make sure that the original information can be demodulated properly. The system’s reliability while transmitting signals with different modulation methods and with spectrum mismatching is demonstrated by bit error rate (BER). In the meantime, the constellations of the signals and the BER performances at the eavesdropper demonstrate the proposed system is better secured.

        Investigation on Microstructural Delamination and Compositional Segregation in Flange Steel with a High Stretch Ratio

        In order to reveal the formation mechanism of microstructural delamination in flange steel during punching, the microstructuralcharacteristics of flange steels with 0.064, 0.085, and 0.101 wt% carbon contents were analyzed by an opticalmicroscope, optical emission spectrometer, metal in situ analyzer, and electron probe microanalyzer. It was found that microstructuraldelamination occurred due to C and Mn segregation, especially the former. The intensive segregation degree ofC was dependent on its relatively smaller partition coefficient. Moreover, the segregation degree gradually decreased withthe decreasing carbon content. And the increased segregations of elements except carbon were related to the coupling effectbetween different alloying elements. Furthermore, C and Mn were prone to segregate at the 1/4th position along the transversedirection of the casting slab; hence, almost no segregation was noticed at the edge of the casting slab. The homogenizationtreatment had a substantial effect on the elimination of C segregation; however, Mn segregation was relatively hard to beremoved.

        Comparative Transcriptome Analysis of Rhizoctonia solani-resistant and -Susceptible Rice Cultivars Reveals the Importance of Pathogen Recognition and Active Immune Responses in Host Resistance

        Rice sheath blight (SB), caused by Rhizoctoniasolani (R. solani), is a major threat to rice productionworldwide. The molecular mechanisms of the SB resistancein rice are poorly understood. The transcriptomes of the SBresistantrice cultivar YSBR1 and the susceptible cultivarLemont were analyzed after R. solani infection. A total of7624 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identifiedat one or more timepoints in a cultivar. 5526 and 5618 DEGswere differentially expressed in Lemont and YSBR1,respectively. YSBR1 exhibited stronger and earlier transcriptionalresponse to R. solani than Lemont. Gene ontology enrichmentanalysis revealed that genes that encode cell wall-modifyingand glycosyl-degrading enzymes or anti-microbial proteinswere specifically induced in YSBR1 at 6 hpi. MapMananalysis revealed that more DEGs related with cell wall, β-glucanses, respiratory burst, phenylpropanoids and ligninwere highly induced by R. solani in YSBR1 than in Lemont. The results also showed that receptor-like kinases and jasmonicacid signaling may play important roles in host resistance toR. solani. This study highlights potential candidate genes andsignaling pathways involved in rice sheath resistance and canhelp to further clarify the mechanistic events underlyingresistance and susceptibility to R. solani.

        EBV-miR-BHRF1-1 Targets p53 Gene: Potential Role in Epstein-Barr Virus Associated Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

        Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the prognostic impact of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)–microRNA (miRNA, miR)-BHRF1-1 with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) as well as role of EBV-miR-BHRF1-1 in p53 gene. Materials and Methods Quantitative reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction and western blotting were used to quantify EBV-miR-BHRF1-1 and p53 expression in cultured CLL. Results p53 aberration was associated with the higher expression level of EBV-miR-BHRF1-1 (p < 0.001) which was also an independent prognostic marker for overall survival (p=0.028; hazard ratio, 5.335; 95% confidence interval, 1.193 to 23.846) in 97 newly-diagnosed CLL patients after adjusted with International Prognostic Index for patients with CLL. We identified EBV-miR-BHRF1-1 as a viral miRNA regulator of p53. EBV-miR-BHRF1-1 repressed luciferase reporter activity by specific interaction with the seed region within the p53 3- untranslated region. Discordance of p53 messenger RNA and protein expression was associated with high EBV-miR-BHRF1-1 levels in CLL patients and cell lines. EBV-miR-BHRF1- 1 inhibition upregulated p53 protein expression, induced cell cycle arrest and apoptosis and decreased cell proliferation in cell lines. EBV-miR-BHRF1-1 mimics downregulated p53 protein expression, decreased cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, and induced cell proliferation in cell lines. Conclusion This study supported the role of EBV-miR-BHRF1-1 in p53 regulation in vitro. Our results support the potential of EBV-miR-BHRF1-1 as a therapeutic target in EBV-associated CLL with p53 gene aberration.
