<P>Bioassay-guided fractionation of a MeOH extract of the whole plant of <I>Aceriphyllum rossii</I> (Saxifragaceae) led to the isolation of two new triterpenes, 3α,23-isopropylidenedioxyolean-12-en-27-oic acid (1) and 23-hydroxy-3-oxoolean-12-en-27-oic acid (2), together with six known triterpenes, 3-oxoolean-12-en-27-oic acid (3), 3α-hydroxyolean-12-en-27-oic acid (4), β-peltoboykinolic acid (5), aceriphyllic acid A (6), oleanolic acid (7), and gypsogenic acid (8). The structures of these compounds were elucidated on the basis of physicochemical and spectroscopic analyses. These compounds were evaluated for <I>in vitro</I> cytotoxicity against the K562 and HL-60 cell lines. Olean-12-en-27-oic acid derivatives (1—6) exhibited considerable cytotoxicity against K562 and HL-60 cell lines with IC<SUB>50</SUB> values ranging from 12.2 to 28.7 μ<SMALL>M</SMALL> and from 12.1 to 25.8 μ<SMALL>M</SMALL>, respectively.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P><B>Introduction</B></P> <P>The detection of <I>BRCA1/2</I> mutations is important because PARP1 inhibitors are approved for germline and/or somatic <I>BRCA</I>-mutated advanced ovarian cancer. Next-generation sequencing (NGS) is increasingly used in clinical practice for <I>BRCA1</I>/2 mutations. The purpose of this study was to consider several conditions of NGS <I>BRCA1/2</I> assay applicable to clinical laboratory tests, in particular for using formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) ovarian tissues.</P> <P><B>Materials and methods</B></P> <P>We selected 64 ovarian cancer patients and performed Oncomine™ BRCA assay using FFPE tissue. Effect of FFPE sample quality was analyzed by NGS quality parameters including deamination metric. Somatic variants were selected by removing germline variants of peripheral blood and interpreted as pathogenic, variants of unknown significance, and false positive.</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>We found a positive relationship between the number of variants over the deamination metric and FFPE age (<I>P</I> < 0.001) with a cutoff values of approximately 0.7 and 60 months, respectively. When comparing NGS results with Sanger sequencing, NGS misreported 3 of 15 variants using default parameters which were corrected after changing parameters. We detected somatic variants in eight patients and classified them into pathogenic (n = 3), VUS (n = 3) and false positive (n = 2).</P> <P><B>Conclusions</B></P> <P>This study is important for improving <I>BRCA1/2</I> mutation detection capabilities of NGS analytical pipelines and strategy to overcome their limitations using FFPE tissue in ovarian cancer patients.</P>
<복선화음가>에 구현된 치산(治産)의 의미와 텍스트 향유의 내적 기반

이 논문은 <복선화음가>에서 서사화 된 양반 여성의 노동과 치부(致富), 그로 인한 가문 재건 양상을 둘러싼 기존의 해석이 중세적 가부장제의 강화와 근대성의 단초라는 극단의 시각에서 진행되고 있음에 문제를 제기하고 텍스트의 의미를 재 고찰하기 위해 기술되었다. 이를 위해 본고에서는 <복선화음가>의 주인공(李氏부인)이 전형적인 부덕(婦德)을 실천했던 인물에서 경제적 부를 추구하는 인물로 ‘변모’하는 과정에 주목했다. 전형적인 부덕의 체현자였던 이씨 부인은 극심한 가난을 체험한 후 절용이나 근검과 같이 종래에 강조되어 왔던 부덕(婦德)의 추구만으로는 문제적 현실을 타개할 수 없음을 직시한다. 이후 그녀는 적극적인 노동을 통해 치부(致富)에 성공하며 그러한 경제적 기반을 통해 가문의 재건을 이뤄낸다. 결국 <복선화음가>는 효봉고구(孝奉舅姑)나 봉제사(奉祭祀), 접빈객(接賓客)과 같은 ‘여성의 도리’를 다하기 위해서라도 반드시 치산(治産)과 치부(致富)에 힘써야 함을 강조하는 변이형 계녀가(誡女歌)로 정의할 수 있다. 특기할 것은 <복선화음가>가 계녀가의 일종이면서도 주인공이 축적한 부(富)의 수준이 기존의 계녀 담론에서 이상적으로 여기는 치산의 범주를 뛰어넘어 ‘환상’의 차원에 가깝게 묘사된다는 점이다. 나아가 이러한 특징이 <복선화음가>가 계녀가임에도 불구하고 강한 파급력을 지니게 된 텍스트의 내적 기반이었을 것으로 추측할 수 있다. 다시 말해 <복 선화음가>가 무수한 이본(異本)을 파생했다는 사실은 이 가사의 향유자들이 전통적인 치산(治産)의 미덕을 넘어 보다 적극적인 노동과 그에 따른 부(富)의 축적을 이뤄낸 이씨 부인의 ‘자수성가 신화’에 크게 공감했던 시대적 정황을 드러낸다. 한편, <복선화음가>의 유행과 확산은 ‘절용(節用)’이 특히 중시되던 종래의 부덕(婦德) 관념에 예상치 않은 균열이 발생하기 시작했음을 암시하는 현상이라는 점에서 주목할 필요가 있다. 가난의 고통을 근검과 절약을 통해 감내하는 것을 미덕으로 삼았던 여성들이 이제 적극적인 노동과 치부(致富)의 주체로 변모하고자 했다는 사실을 우리는 <복선화음가>의 출현과 그에 대한 열렬한 향유를 통해 짐작할 수 있다. 이상의 논의에서 우리는 <복선화음가>의 주인공을 가부장제의 음험한 논리에 포섭된 수동적 주체나 혹은 적극적인 경제 행위를 통해 도래할 근대를 예비했던 선각자적 주체로 성급하게 정의할 수 없음을 알 수 있다. 오히려 우리가 주목해야 할 지점은 <복선화음가>에 공감했을 많은 이씨 부인‘들’이 자신에게 주어진 시대적 조건 속에서 가난과 궁핍이라는 문제적 현실의 타개를 위해 기존의 이념적 부덕(婦德)의 준수에서 벗어나 적극적으로 현실로 뛰어들고 있었다는 사실 그 자체일 것이다. <복선화음가>의 주인공과 향유자들 즉 노동과 치산의 적극적 주체이기를 희구한 여성들이 ‘근대’의 맥락에서 어떤 위상으로 다시금 자리매김되었는가는 별도의 문제로 남아 있다. This paper aims at bringing up a question on the existing interpretation of <Bokseon Hwaeum Ga福善禍淫歌> which is based on the two extreme circumstances - the strengthened patriarchal system in the middle of the Joseon Dynasty and beginning of modernity - and at taking a reconsideration on the meaning of the text itself. To achieve the purpose, this study firstly takes a close look at the complete “transfiguration” of its main character (Mrs. Lee) who changes from a typical character, who practices womanly virtues, into a person, who seeks wealth since she went through sever poverty. The story depicts Mrs. Lee as a character who faces up to the reality in which she could not make a living by pursuing only the existing womanly virtues such as thrift and saving and so tries hard to obtain wealth by active labor. Telling her married daughter about how she herself overcame poverty, Mrs. Lee also asks her earnestly to keep house well and adjust well to her married life. In other words, <Bokseon Hwaeum Ga>, as a variant form of the gyenyeo-ga誡女歌, puts top priority on managing the household and wealth even to live up to the traditionally emphasized “womanly virtues”. The emphasis here is that the people who enjoyed <Bokseon Hwaeum Ga> expected women to play a more active role, which is beyond the traditional virtues of managing the household, by actively working and obtaining accompanied wealth. That <Bokseon Hwaeum Ga> has numerous different editions implies that the strengthened patriarchal system of the period forced women into the scene of labor and that there was an unexpected crack on the strong belief in the traditional womanly virtues - thrift and saving. So, women were now transformed into a subject of roles of active labor and managing wealth from a mere passive character that endured economic hardships by practicing thrift and saving. The analysis above shows us that the main character of <Bokseon Hwaeum Ga> cannot be simply defined either as a woman who contributed to the strengthened patriarchal system or as a woman who prepared for modernity by active economic action. The fact we need to focus more on is that many other women of the period, who might have empathized with Mrs. Lee, went into the reality and lived an active life to fight poverty and hardships under the given condition of the time, rather than just trying to keep the ideological womanly virtues. In conclusion, it remains an unsettled question that what other characteristics the main characters of <Bokseon Hwaeum Ga>, who were transformed into a subject to roles of active labor and managing wealth, would have had in the context of “modern times”.

This paper presents the development of a micro punching system with modified cymbal mechanism. To realize the micro punching, we introduced the hybrid system with a macro moving part and micro punching part. The macro moving part consists of a ball screw, a linear guide and the micro step motor and micro punching part includes the PZT actuators and displacement amplification device with modified cymbal mechanism. The PZT actuator is capable of producing very large force, but they provide only limited displacements which are several micro meters. Thus the displacement amplification device is necessary to make those actuators more efficient and useful. For this purpose, a cymbal mechanism in series is proposed. The finite element method was used to design the cymbal mechanism and to analyze the mode shape of the one. The displacement and mode shape error between the FEM results and experiments are within 10%. A considerable design effort has been focused on optimizing the flexure hinge to increase the output displacement and punching force.

현재 대용량의 태양광 발전에 사용되는 정격용량은 250㎾ 급에 이르고 있는데, 단일 인버터로 구성되어 있지 않고 컨버터를 사용하여 구성하는 경우 단일용량으로 컨버터 250kW급을 구현하는 것은 현실적으로 정격 소자, 수동소자와 시스템의 효율 등의 문제로 인하여 그 구현에 현실적인 한계가 있다. 따라서 규격화 된 용량의 단일 전원장치를 병렬 운전함으로써 이와 같은 문제점을 해결할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 CAN 통신을 이용하여 250㎾ PV PCS에 적용한 DC/DC 컨버터 4대의 병렬운전 기법을 제안하고 실험을 통해 그 우수성을 검증한다.
Anti-complementary Activity of Ursane-Type Triterpenoids from <i>Weigela subsessilis</i>

<P>A new ursane-type triterpenoid, weigelic acid (1), and seven known compounds, ursolic acid (2), ilekudinol A (3), corosolic acid (4), ilekudinol B (5), esculentic acid (6), pomolic acid (7), and asiatic acid (8) were isolated from the leaf and stem of <I>Weigela subsessilis</I>. The structure of the new triterpenoid was established as 1β,2α,3α,23-tetrahydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid on the basis of spectroscopic analyses. In addition, the isolated compounds were evaluated for their anti-complement activity against the classical pathway of the complement system. Of these, compounds 1—2 and 4—8 exhibited anti-complement activity with IC<SUB>50</SUB> values of 152, 90, 130, 51, 56, 4, and 163 μ<SMALL>M</SMALL>, respectively, whereas 3 was inactive. This shows that a carboxylic group of ursane-type triterpenoids seems to play an important role in inhibiting the hemolytic activity of human serum against erythrocytes.</P>
