The modular multilevel matrix converter (M3C) applied to a low frequency alternating current (LFAC) transmission system is investigated. Due to the complexity and tight coupling of the converter, a novel hierarchical model predictive control (MPC) scheme with a cascaded structure of power control, capacitor voltage averaging and balancing control for M3C is proposed. The terminal behavioral model of M3C is derived out and the fast separated space-vectors approximation method is realized. The proposed scheme clearly achieves the system-level multi-objective control without the empirical procedure of the weighting factor design and significantly reduces the computational cost. This is the first time to apply the MPC to a converter in a hierarchical structure. Simulation results of a 7-level M3C are provided to illustrate the system’s performance.
EMI Modeling and Experiment of a GaN Based LLC Half-Bridge Converter
Mofan Tian,Yuan Hao,Kangping Wang,Yang Xuan,Lang Huang,Jingjing Sun,Xu Yang 전력전자학회 2015 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2015 No.6
This paper focuses on the electromagnetic interference (EMI) research and analysis of the MHz switching frequency GaN MOSFET based on the LLC resonant DC-DC converter. In this paper, first, the CM coupling paths are studied to get simplified models. Then the impact of the parasitic capacitors (both the capacitors to the ground and the capacitors in the devices) on the CM current are analyzed. Finally the high frequency model is derived from the work above. Moreover this paper makes the comparison between normal Si MOSFET and GaNbased MOSFET behavior in EMI. The modeling result proves that GaN MOSFET has a worse behavior on EMI test. An experiment layout which is aimed at minimizing the irrelevant factors is designed and the experiment result proves the accuracy of the modeling.

The recent interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning has partly contributed to an interest in the use of such approaches for hyperspectral remote sensing (HRS) imagery classification, as evidenced by the increasing number of deep framework with deep convolutional neural networks (CNN) structures proposed in the literature. In these approaches, the assumption of obtaining high quality deep features by using CNN is not always easy and efficient because of the complex data distribution and the limited sample size. In this paper, conventional handcrafted learning-based multi features based on expert knowledge are introduced as the input of a special designed CNN to improve the pixel description and classification performance of HRS imagery. The introduction of these handcrafted features can reduce the complexity of the original HRS data and reduce the sample requirements by eliminating redundant information and improving the starting point of deep feature training. It also provides some concise and effective features that are not readily available from direct training with CNN. Evaluations using three public HRS datasets demonstrate the utility of our proposed method in HRS classification.

Purpose: The purposes of the study were to examine psychological distress and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in relocated and nonrelocated survivors aged 60 years and older, and to analyze predictors for psychological distress and HRQoL in older survivors 5 years after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake. Methods: This was a cross-sectional descriptive study with 112 relocated older survivors and 156 nonrelocated older survivors. Our study used a multistage sampling method. The measurements used in the study included self-reporting questionnaire-20, medical outcomes study 36-item short form health survey, and an instrument measuring demographic and disaster-related characteristics. Descriptive and multiple linear regression analysis were performed to determine factors that contributed to psychological distress and HRQoL. Results: The prevalence of psychological distress in relocated group (20.5%) was significantly higher compared to those in nonrelocated group (4.8%). Scores for HRQoL in relocated older survivors was significantly lower than those in nonrelocated older survivors. Relocation from preearthquake residence was the most significant predictor for psychological distress and HRQoL in the total sample. Other predictors were advanced age, lower educational level, the loss of family members during the earthquake, and the presence of chronic illnesses as well as the death of a spouse after the earthquake. Conclusions: Strategies can be designed in postdisaster recovery program, particularly for older survivors at high risk for psychological distress and poor HRQoL.
Mechanical Response of Buried Polyethylene Pipeline Beneath the Roadway and Its Influential Factors

In order to investigate the 2D mechanical response of fl exible buried pipeline beneath roadway under static loads, taken high density polyethylene as object, ANSYS fi nite element commercial software is employed to construct pipe-soil interacting coupled model. By means of newly developed model, the infl uence of burial depth, diameter of pipe and modulus of backfilled earth on deformation and mechanical characteristics of pipe is studied. Furthermore the viscoelastic properties of tubular product are considered to simulate creep deformation of pipe under constant loading. These results indicate that: (1) the maximum vertical displacement and Von Mises stress appear at top of pipe and side of internal surface of pipe, respectively; (2) the viscoelastic properties significantly improve the safety of pipe; (3) even if burial depth does not have signifi cant effect on mechanical characteristics of pipe, there is optimal burial depth; (4) the greater the diameter of conduits, the larger modulus backfi lled earth, the more diffi cult it is to destroy pipe breaks.

Fibroblast growth factors(FGFs) and their receptors (FGFRs) modulate a wide range of biological functions, especially tumor genesis. The aim of this study was to investigate the possible association of FGFR expression with the susceptibility of digestive system and reproductive system cancers in Chinese population. In total, 343 patients with digestive or reproductive system cancers were enrolled in this study. The expression levels of four highly-conserved FGFRs including FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 and FGFR4 were measured by immunohistochemistry (IHC). The expression levels of FGFRs were compared between carcinoma and para-carcinoma tissues. FGFR1 expression significantly differed between carcinoma and para-carcinoma tissues in colon and gastric cancers. FGFR2 expression significantly differed between carcinoma and para-carcinoma tissues in esophageal cancer. FGFR3 expression was significantly different between carcinoma and para-carcinoma tissues in liver and gastric cancers. FGFR2 showed the highest expression probability in all the selected cancers and FGFR4 showed the lowest expression probability. FGFR1 and FGFR3 showed comparable moderate expression probabilities. Our findings have demonstrated significant differences regarding FGFR expression levels between carcinoma and para-carcinoma cells in digestive or reproductive system cancer patients. The data also implicated that FGFR2 and FGFR4 could serve as two prominent factors closely related to the susceptibility of digestive and reproductive system cancers.
Crosstalk between gut microbiota and Sirtuin-3 in colonic inflammation and tumorigenesis

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a disease involving a variety of genetic and environmental factors. Sirtuin-3 (Sirt3) is expressed at a low level in cancer tissues of CRC, but it is unclear how Sirt3 modulates colonic tumorigenesis. In this study, we found that gut microbiota play a central role in the resistance to CRC tumor formation in wild-type (WT) mice through APC (Adenomatous Polyposis Coli)-mutant mouse microbiota transfer via Wnt signaling. We also found that Sirt3-deficient mice were hypersusceptible to colonic inflammation and tumor development through altered intestinal integrity and p38 signaling, respectively. Furthermore, susceptibility to colorectal tumorigenesis was aggravated by initial commensal microbiota deletion via Wnt signaling. Mice with Sirt3-deficient microbiota transfer followed by chemically induced colon tumorigenesis had low Sirt3 expression compared to WT control microbiome transfer, mainly due to a decrease in Escherichia/Shigella, as well as an increase in Lactobacillus reuteri and Lactobacillus taiwanensis. Collectively, our data revealed that Sirt3 is an anti-inflammatory and tumor-suppressing gene that interacts with the gut microbiota during colon tumorigenesis.
