Why Do Customers Purchase from a Website? Activity-based Web Presence Readiness Model

This study proposes a web presence readiness model based on pre-payment service functions and a post-payment service function both of which embrace the major concerns of customers in the online purchasing context. Based on the concept of customer utility from the product itself and instrumental utility, the research model suggests four antecedents including, Perceived Economic Benefits, Product Search Support Quality, e-Shopping Method Diversity, and Post-Payment Support Quality. We empirically examined a proposed research model using data collected from online rating company websites. Among the four antecedents, post payment support quality is found to be the most influential determinant of customer evaluation on e-commerce websites. Based on the empirical results, the current study proposes an alternate model of web presence readiness. The findings of this study may provide an insight to field practitioners designing commercial websites. The implications and future research directions are further discussed.
A Study of the Number of Distribution Channel Levels for the Road Transportation Systems

Generally, the tons lifted and ton-kilometers are widely used to analyze the road freight transport. However, these two indicators are simply to show the road freight transport statistics rather than to explain the road freight transportation systems. In this study, the variables such as the number of distribution channel levels, the integral distance, tons in transport and the average transport distance are defined and estimated to investigate the road freight transport system of Korea. In order to compare the road transport system of Korea to other countries, the comparative study was conducted including USA, Japan, Holland and Taiwan. The major findings of this study are as follows; i) The number of distribution channel levels and integral distance of Korea and Taiwan have been increased, but the average transport distance decreased from 1971 to 1996 period. ii) On the contrary to Korea case, the number of distribution channel levels and integral distance of US, Japan and Holland have been decreased, but the average transport distance increased. iii) In the time-series model analysis shows that the number of distribution channel levels are statistically positively closely related to the logistics costs and the costs of transportation as a percentage of GDP.
Wet station 통합관리 시스템 개발에 관한 연구

Most parts of semiconductor production process are consisted of track facilities. These production facilities should be operated efficiently and monitored because they are very complex and have a restriction on the waiting time of wafers. The process management system is needed for managing the product of each process in the factory for manufacturing the semiconductor wafer. In this paper, we design and implement an total management system which manages and monitors each process in semiconductor factory. Our system analyzes the status information of each manufacturing process, stores it to DB and provides the user interface for real-time visualization of it. For the efficient operation of the wet station, the management system need the scheduler for efficient management. In this paper, we propose an efficient scheduling scheme that let the latter lot proceed the former lot. This scheme reduces the delay time of the latter lot.
실내 게이트웨이 설치 환경에서 P2P 기반의 LoRa 통신 성능 측정 실험에 관한 연구

LoRa 는 저전력 및 장거리 작동을 위해 설계된 새로운 ISM 대역 무선 기술이며, LoRaWAN 은 LoRa 에서 정의된 광역 네트워크 프로토콜이다. 본 논문에서는 실제 환경에서 LoRaWAN 기술의 통신 성능을 검증하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해, 캠퍼스 내에 LoRaWAN 실험을 위한 실제 테스트 베드를 구축했다. 사용자들이 사용하는 실제 환경을 만들기 위해 통신 게이트웨이를 실내에 설치하였고, 캠퍼스의 실내외 다수 위치에서 데이터를 P2P 방식으로 게이트웨이에게 전송한다. 실험에서는 대역폭, 코딩 속도, 확산 계수 및 전송 전력을 변화시켰으며, 성능 검증을 위해 신호대잡음비와 패킷 전송률을 측정하여 결과를 분석한다.

Background: Aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH 2) metabolizes acetaldehyde, the major cause of alcohol hangover symptoms. It also detoxifies endogenouscytotoxic aldehydes, such as 4-hydroxynonenal. Oxidative stress promotes lipid peroxidation of cellular membrane, leading to accumulation of reactive aldehydes that contribute to itch signaling via mast cell degranulation and activation of TRPA1 on sensory neuron. A variety of anti-hangover products are available, however, almost none of them has been proven to show enhanced metabolizing capacity of ALDH 2 in a live subject. Objectives: We aimed to test a specific product of interest. Methods: A powder sample of anti-hangover product (KISLip, Pico Entech, Korea) was examined by in vitro & in vivo experiments to measure the amount of NADH formation, generated through catalytic conversion of acetaldehyde. In-vivo examination tested the ethanol and acetaldehyde level in blood of rats with oral infusion of substance before or after ethanol intake. Results: The activities of alcohol dehydrogenase & aldehyde dehydrogenase within the anti-hangover substance were 1.84 unit/g and 0.28 unit/g. The oxidation capacities in rats were dose-dependently increased after substance gavages. Particularly, the cases with oral intake of substance 220 mg/kg after 1hr of ethanol intake have shown more meaningful decreases in acetaldehyde level in blood.
