It is well known that some of piles are subjected to lateral earth pressures due to lateral soil movements, such piles are called as passive piles. Because the lateral behavior of pile in a group is developed by many factors involved in their deformation and strength characteristics, the mechanisms of the passive pile is not completely clarified yet. This paper describes a series of model tests on instrumented pile groups embedded in HAP-CHEN sand undergoing lateral movement, the extent of the group effect on the lateral response of a pile in a group was found to be dependent on a number of factors, including the position of the pile in a group, the pile spacing, and the pile arrangement.
EMTP 기반 써지분석 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 이용한 개폐서지 분석

This paper describes the function and feature of the surge analysis program which is developed. The program which is developed provides the function which is similar with EMTP GUI Pre-processor atpdraw. In order to confirm the accuracy and reliablity of calculation result of the developed program, identical simulation models are composed from atpdraw and simulation model calculation results of atpdraw and the developed program are compared each other.

This paper analyzed the cause of lightning fault on overhead transmission line. It is presumed that fault occured in compliance with lightning. 70~80% of transmission line fault causes is lightning from statistical data. Flashover type is divided into the lightnining shielding failure and backflashover of transmission tower by the lightning stroke on the overhead transmission line. According to flashover type, fault prevention countermeasure is made differently. In order to calculate electric potential rise and investigate flashover type, EMTP (electromanetic transient programs) was used.
전악의 디지털 인상 채득 시 치과용 모형재가 디지털 모형 정확성에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 치과용 모형재 중 4형(type IV)석고와 스캔용(scannable)석고를 이용하여 작업모형을 제작한 후, 치과용 백색광 스캐너를 이용하여 3차원 디지털 모형으로 전환한 데이터의 계측지점간 거리를 측정하여, 그 결과 값을 토대로 이종의 치과용 석고가 3차원 디지털 모형의 크기재현 시 정확성여부를 비교하였다. 본 실험을 통하여 치과용 모형재에 따른 3차원 디지털 모형의 정확도를 확인함으로써 임상적용의 가능성을 평가하였으며, 제한된 조건 하에서 수행된 본 연구에서 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 치과용 백색광 스캐너를 사용하여 주 모형과 두 종류의 모형재로 제작한 작업모형을 3차원 디지털 모형으로 전환한 후, 선게측의 값을 비교한 결과 전체적인 계측지점에서 모두 모형재로 제작된 작업모형이 작게 계측되는 경향을 보였다. 2. 각 모형별 동일한 계측지점의 게측값의 차이가 있는지 알아보기 위해 paired t-test의 시행결과, 모든 계측지점에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<0.05). 결론적으로 두 가지 석고 모두 통계적으로 적정한 수준의 정확성을 나타내지 않았으나, 오차 수준이 선행연구에 비추어 볼 때 임상적으로 수용 가능한 수준이라 생각된다. 전악인상채득을 통한 디지털 모형의 정확성은 검증이 되었으나, 스캔용(scannable)석고에 대한 임상 효용성을 판단하기 위해 타 제품과의 성분 분석 비교연구나 실질적인 보철물 제작을 통한 적합도 평가를 통해 CAD/CAM 보철물 제작 시장점을 부각할 수 있는 연구가 뒷받침되어야 할 것으로 사료된다. This study was performed to measure the accuracy of different gypsum materials by a white light dental scanner. A master model with the prepared lower full arch tooth was used. The type IV and scannable stone were used for 20 stone casts (10 casts each) duplicated a master model of mandible. The distance between the reference points were measured and analyzed by the Delcam Copycad(R) (Delcam Plc, UK) 3D graphic software. The t-student test for paired samples were used for statistical analysis. The mean differences to master model for type IV stone and scannable stone model were 0.29∼0.56 mm, and 0.17∼0.35 mm, respectively. There were statistical differences in dimensional accuracy for full arch impression between the master model and type IV/scannable stone (p<0.05). Two different gypsum materials showed clinically acceptable accuracies of full arch digital impression produced by them. Besides, in both gypsum materials, the differences to the master model detected appear to provide enough accuracy for clinical application.
동시에 시행한 관상동맥우회술 및 경동맥 내막절제술과 단계적 수술의 조기 성적 비교

Purpose: Between combined and staged operations of carotid endarterectomy (CEA) and coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) for patients with concurrent coronary and carotid disease, each treatment strategy has its own advantages and disadvantages. We attempted to compare early surgical results between the two operations. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed medical records of 71 patients who underwent either combined CEA & CABG (n=37) or staged CABG & CEA (n=34) in a single institute between January 2001 and March 2010. After comparing patients’ demographics and preoperative neurologic and cardiac status, we compared early (<1 month) postoperative cardiac or neurologic complications and surgical mortality between the 2 groups. Results: There was no significant difference in patients’ demographics and indications for operation the between 2 groups. There were 2 (5.4%) cases of postoperative stroke in combined groups and 1 (2.9%) in staged group. However, there was no myocardial infarction or death. In staged operation group, during the interval time between the two operations, 5 cases (14.7%) of stroke developed, of which, all patients recovered without any sequelae by anticoagulation. Conclusion: After experiencing low postoperative cardiac or neurologic morbidity or mortality after combined CABG and CEA, we conclude that combined CABG and CEA was a safe and feasible treatment option for patients with neurologic symptoms and in stable cardiac status. In the staged operation group of patients, we observed development of neurologic events during the interval period between CABG and CEA. To attain optimal treatment strategy in asymptomatic patients, further prospective study would be required.

In this paper, influence of vibration on cogging torque and Radial Magnetic Force(RMF) imbalance was investigated in the IPM type BLDC motor. Design of cogging torque reduction and the RMF equilibrium was proceed applied to Design of Experiment(DOE). Vibration test results, the RMF imbalance was confirmed that a significant impact of vibration.

In This paper, the output characteristics and vibrations were compared and analyzed according to operation method in 100W class. The voltage source is applied only two phase in BLDC drive system therefore commutation torque ripple and imbalance of RMF occurred. Due to this efficiency was significantly degraded because mechanical loss is increased, besides the vibration and noise were greatly generated. The vibration and output characteristics were compared and analyzed according to three phase and BLDC drive system.
