KS0KS0 production in two-photon collisions has been studied using a 397.6 fb-1 data sample collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e- collider. For the first time the cross sections are measured in the two-photon center-of-mass energy range between 2.4 GeV and 4.0 GeV and angular range |cosθ*|<0.6. Combining the results with measurements of γγ->K+K- from Belle, we observe that the cross section ratio σ(KS0KS0)/σ(K+K-) decreases from ∼0.13 to ∼0.01 with increasing energy. Signals for the χc0 and χc2 charmonium states are also observed.
Interference Effect betweenϕandΛ(1520)Production Channels in theγp→K+K−pReaction near Threshold
Ryu, S. Y.,Ahn, J. K.,Nakano, T.,Ahn, D. S.,Ajimura, S.,Akimune, H.,Asano, Y.,Chang, W. C.,Chen, J. Y.,Daté,, S.,Ejiri, H.,Fujimura, H.,Fujiwara, M.,Fukui, S.,Hasegawa, S.,Hicks, K.,Horie, K.,Ho American Physical Society 2016 Physical Review Letters Vol.116 No.23
<P>The phi-Lambda(1520) interference effect in the gamma p -> K(+)K(-)p reaction has been measured for the first time in the energy range from 1.673 to 2.173 GeV. The relative phases between phi and Lambda(1520) production amplitudes were obtained in the kinematic region where the two resonances overlap. The measurement results support strong constructive interference when K+K- pairs are observed at forward angles but destructive interference for proton emission at forward angles. Furthermore, the observed interference effect does not account for the root s = 2.1 GeV bump structure in forward differential cross sections for phi photoproduction. This fact suggests possible exotic structures such as a hidden-strangeness pentaquark state, a new Pomeron exchange, or rescattering processes via other hyperon states.</P>

<P>We report the measurement of the gamma p -> K+Lambda and gamma p -> K+Sigma(0) reactions at SPring-8. The differential cross sections and photon-beam asymmetries are measured at forward K+ production angles using linearly polarized tagged-photon beams in the range of E-gamma = 1.5-3.0 GeV. With increasing photon energy, the cross sections for both gamma p -> K+Lambda and gamma p -> K+Sigma(0) reactions decrease slowly. Distinct narrow structures in the production cross section have not been found at E gamma = 1.5-3.0 GeV. The forward peaking in the angular distributions of cross sections, a characteristic feature of t-channel exchange, is observed for the production of Lambda in the whole observed energy range. A lack of similar feature for Sigma(0) production reflects a less dominant role of t-channel contribution in this channel. The photon-beam asymmetries remain positive for both reactions, suggesting the dominance of K* exchange in the t channel. These asymmetries increase gradually with the photon energy, and have a maximum value of +0.6 for both reactions. Comparison with theoretical predictions based on the Regge trajectory in the t channel and the contributions of nucleon resonances indicates the major role of t-channel contributions as well as non-negligible effects of nucleon resonances in accounting for the reaction mechanism of hyperon photoproduction in this photon energy regime.</P>
THE FIXED POINT INDEX FOR ACCRETIVE MAPPINGS WITH K-SET CONTRACTION PERTURBATIONS IN CONES
Chen, Y.Q.,Ha, K.S.,Cho, Y.J. Korean Mathematical Society 1997 대한수학회지 Vol.34 No.1
The fixed point index plays an important role in solving the positive solutions of nonlinear equations in ordered Banach spaces ([7], [10], [11], [14], [15]). Many authors have studied the existence problems of positive solutions of nonlinear equations for nonlinear mappings ([1]-[5], [7], [9], [10], [14], [15]).

<P>Using a 492 fb{-1} data sample collected near the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e{+}e{-} collider, we observe the decay B{0}-->ppK*0 with a branching fraction of (1.18{-0.25}{+0.29}(stat)+/-0.11(syst))x10{-6}. We study the decay dynamics of B{0}-->ppK*0 and compare with B{+}-->ppK*+. The K*0 meson is found to be almost 100% polarized (with a fraction of (101+/-13+/-3)% in the helicity zero state), while the K*+ meson has a (32+/-17+/-9)% fraction in the helicity zero state. The direct CP asymmetries for B{0}-->ppK*0 and B{+}-->ppK*+ are measured to be -0.08+/-0.20+/-0.02 and -0.01+/-0.19+/-0.02, respectively. In addition, we report improved measurements of the branching fractions B(B{+}-->ppK*+)=(3.38{-0.60}{+0.73}+/-0.39)x10{-6} and B(B{0}-->ppK{0})=(2.51{-0.29}{+0.35}+/-0.21)x10{-6}, which supersede our previous measurements.</P>
Some results on the Laplacian spread of a graph
Chen, X.,Ch. Das, K. North Holland [etc.] 2016 Linear algebra and its applications Vol.505 No.-
<P>The Laplacian spread of a graph G with n vertices is defined to be s(L)(G) = mu(1)(G) mu(n-1)(G), where mu(1)(G), mu(n-1)(G) are the largest and the second smallest Laplacian eigenvalues of G, respectively. It is conjectured that s(L) (G) <= n - 1. In this paper, we first establish a new sharp upper bound for s(L) (G), and then use it to prove that the conjecture is true for t-quasi regular graphs when t <= root n - 3 + 2/n. We also present some other partial solutions for this conjecture; in particular, we show that the conjecture holds for K-3-free graphs. Finally, we give several sharp lower bounds for s(L)(G) as well. (C) 2016 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.</P>
Influence of continental outflow events on the aerosol composition at Cheju Island,South Korea
Park, John K.,Arimoto, Richard,Savoie, Dennis,Carmichael, Gregory R,Prospero, Joseph,Hong, Min-Sun,Ueda, Hiromasa,Murano, Kentaro,Chen, Li-Ling,Kim, Y. P.,Shim, Shang,Lee, Ho-geun,Song, Chul H.,Kang, 濟州大學校 基礎科學硏究所 1998 基礎科學硏究 Vol.11 No.1
The chemical composition of aerosols measured at Cheju Island, Korea, over the 3-year period March 1992 to February 1995 are presented and discussed, with a particular emphasis on the Pacific Exploratory Mission in the Western Pacific (PEM-West B) time period. Cheju Island is under the influence of continental outflow conditions nearly 70% of the year, and as a result the aerosol loading of sea salt as well as continental aerosol components is high. The 3-year mean values derived from the daily tape filters are non-sea-salt (nss) SO₄²?=6.8㎍/㎥, NO₃?=1.2㎍/㎥, Cl??=1.9㎍/㎥, Na+=1.7㎍/㎥, Ca²?=0.5㎍/㎥, NH₄?=1.3㎍/㎥, Mg²?=0.3㎍/㎥, and K+=0.4㎍/㎥. Sea-salt components show peak values in winter, while calcium, nitrate, potassium, and to a lesser extent, sulfate and ammonium, show higher values in the spring, and all species exhibit a pronounced minimum in summer. Trajectory and principal component analysis show that elevated levels of primary aerosols (both sea salt and soil-derived) occur with strong wind conditions associated with winter and spring, and high concentrations of non-sea-salt components are most strongly associated with springtime continental outflow events. During the PEM-West B period, nitrate and calcium are found to be ∼60% higher than the annual mean, sea-salt components ∼30% higher, and sulfate ∼10% higher. The aerosol data are combined with gaseous SO₂ concentrations, precipitation chemistry data and companion aerosol measurements taken at the same site, to provide further insights into the aerosol composition at Cheju. At Cheju, sulfate and ammonium are found mostly in the fine fraction (∼80 to 90%), while calcium and nitrate reside in the coarse size fraction. sulfate and nitrate are not associated with the primary aerosols, but rather become associated with the aerosol during the long-range transport process.

A novel biocompatible sensing strategy has been developed based on functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotube (f-MWCNT), poly-l-histine (P-l-His), and ZnO nanocomposite film for the immobilization of hemoglobin (Hb). The direct electron transfer properties and bioelectrocatalytic activity of the Hb in f-MWCNT-P-l-His-ZnO composite film is further investigated. The apparent heterogeneous electron transfer rate constant (ks) of Hb confined to f-MWCNT-P-l-His-ZnO nanocomposite is found to be 5.16s-1 using Laviron's equation. Moreover, the surface coverage concentration (Γ) of the electroactive Hb in the f-MWCNT-P-l-His-ZnO film is estimated to be 1.88x10-9molcm-2. The fabricated electrochemical biosensor based on the immobilized Hb revealed a fast response time (<3s) with a wide linear range (4-18,000μM and 2-15,000μM) and detection limit (as low as 0.01μM and 0.30μM) for the electrocatalytic determination of a mediator-free H2O2 and bromate under optimal experimental conditions. The ca. apparent Michaelis-Menten constant is 0.14mM, which indicates that the Hb has a high affinity to H2O2. The high sensitivity, good reproducibility, and long-term stability of the proposed nanocomposite film indicates that it can serve as an electrode for the development of an amperometric H2O2 and bromate-based biosensor. The proposed third-generation biosensor was successfully applied to milk and urine samples for the detection of H2O2 and bromate.

It is very difficult to understand and estimate the heat transfer and flow characteristics in the combustor, which is one of main components in the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU), because its flow filed has very complex structure. In this paper, specified is characteristics of injection and flow through different air holes in the liner, which consist of large circular holes, film cooling holes, and tangential air swirl holes. The durability of the liner depends on whether the surface of the liner is exposed to the hot gas over 1000℃ of a temperature or not. It is proved that the locations of hot spots estimated from the calculation using CFD are matched well with that from the test. In this study, CFD simulations were performed to examine the heat transfer and temperature distributions in and about a liner wall with film cooling on the wall. This computational study is based on the ensemble average continuity, compressible Navier-Stokes, energy, and PDF combustion equations closed by the standard k-ε turbulence model with standard wall functions for the gas phase and the Fourier equations for conduction in the solid phase.
